Chapter 1, Part 1

"Laya, do you want to go play? There's this cool game you've surely heard about called 'Book of Lithias'." Laya's friend said, with eyes reflecting the pure shine of the sun.

"Of course I heard about it. Is it really as good as they say? From the over-the-top reactions of the people on the internet and TV, it seems like an over-hyped fad," Laya replied skeptically.

Laya had her basis in her opinion, which was true. Sometimes products are deliberately over-hyped so that sales will increase, though, as you can guess, it is more of an exhaustion for immediate gain because disappointment rises as fast as the sales.

"No, it's real! You have to try it! Though the price is a bit expensive, I'm sure you can afford it. It's about two thousand dollars-" The friend stopped for a bit as she saw Laya's face. She became even more skeptical and seemed to look at her as if she were crazy. "-Wait! I mean, it's a bit expensive but, there's a 'but', it's totally worth it; you could try it if you want, I'll lend you my capsule for a day." The friend continued like she was some crazy fanatic trying to prove her god was a real one and not some phony con scheme.

"Alright, alright, I'll try it. You won't stop until I do, right?" Laya's friend nodded hard and then smiled widely when Laya accepted her friend's offer.

"I promise you won't be disappointed, I promise!" The friend then grabbed Laya's hand as she was ready to take Laya to her house so that she could try it, and then, *Smack!* "Owwiee!" Her friend cried as she got a chop-smack lightly in the head.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

"Eat your food first! Don't waste!" Laya spoke with an elderly aura.

"Alright, Oma..." her friend silently pouted.

"What did you say?" Laya heard her friend's mumbling and smiled sinisterly.

"Nothing, Om- I mean nothing." Her friend smiled innocently like a fox hiding as a sheep, ever so slyly, though it was just innocent fun.

The two finished their meals and decided to head over to her friend's apartment.

"Emma, do you ever clean your room?" Laya said, clearly disgusted by her friend's apartment state.

The dirty clothes piled up on one side, making a filthy soft mountain, and trash bags were lined up in order beside the full black trash can. 'At least she can organize' Laya disappointingly unvoicedly said.

"Don't worry about that; I'm maximizing effectiveness by piling them up before cleaning them in one go," Emma —Laya's friend, proudly explained her questionable reasoning.

"That's called procrastination, aka laziness, you know," Laya unfilteredly said.

This statement hit Emma like a truck, and she looked defeated because she couldn't refute Laya's statement. Emma then introduced her capsule to Laya after their little skit.

"Beautiful, isn't it? It's like something out of a sci-fi movie, and what's inside is even more so! Now get in." Emma said, then opened it so that Laya could get in, though Laya was still skeptical.

'It looks ok? Maybe it's not a scam at all, she said to herself. Then she went in and entered the capsule.
