The True God-killers part 1

The True God-killers part 1

(Hana P.O.V)

Well things just went to the shitter. The plan had been flawless. Its execution perfect up until the subject managed to overcome my psychic power. I and most of the level 3 superpowereds had felt a high discharge of Creaton particles, the matter responsible for giving all enhanced individuals powers, when he had arrived.

Due to his unknown moral code, the high council, responsible for the protection of the whole world, had gone for a soft indoctrination. This was where I had come in. Not wanting to mess it up, the duty had fallen to my shoulders and I had given subtle commands to his mind. My ability was called the 'psyche code'.

Using a laptop or some other sufficiently advanced technology, I could imprint suggestions to any subject, depending on whether I had a picture of them and if they didn't have strong mental barriers. The subject's mental prowess had increased dramatically and as he stood in front of me, i knew then it was time for the hard approach.

"How perceptive of you, Mr. Wentworth. I'm impressed. Why don't we try this again?"

I said as I connected my mind with the three level 3 agents in the facility. I knew that the soldiers streaming in would not be able to hold him back. True to my thoughts, he created a shield as they started shooting not unlike Marcus.

I spared a glance at Marcus who was my puppet leader of the division and gave the signal to teleport him and I. The matter was out of my hands now. I just hoped the 3 would succeed where I had failed. Otherwise, if we had miscalculated on his threat level, we would have another case like 'that one' on our hands again.

The soldiers aimed their guns at me and started firing. No warning, or giving me the chance to stand down. I absentmindedly created a shield before turning my attention to Hana. The Bitch looked at me triumphantly and grinned before disappearing together with the Marcus guy.

'So, you wanna play it like that? Ok.'

I could now extend my constructs 50 meters away from my body. I suddenly enlarged my shield and slammed all the soldiers onto the wall. I let go of the shield and they all fell down groaning in pain. Some of them were even knocked out. I proceeded the door, opened it and ducked a sword that was aimed at my head.

My reaction speed was increased by the red as well as my other senses. The assailant tried to stab at me again but I stepped to the side and kicked out. My kick went through nothing and although I was a little surprised, 'a teleporter' I thought.I took it all in stride and blocked the sword coming at my back with a well timed shield. I was quickly alternating between the blue and red because I was wary of another mental attack.

The opponent's weapon bounced of my shield and he spun around threw to smoke bombs to the ground. I almost laughed at his efforts but remembered that they didn't know, toxic gas didn't work on me anymore. I jumped up when I felt something coming at me from the ground. A spike of yellow crystal emerged from where I had been.

It reformed into a man that was dressed in yellow overalls with a pair of Googles and numerous tattoos on his body. He stared at me, while I was standing on a construct up in the air.

I cocked my head to the side and asked him,

"And What are you supposed to be? I get that the teleporter is a ninja and the lady is a psychic power holder. But what about you? Lemme guess your superhero name is the impaler right?"

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

I laughed when he shouted out in anger and tried to impale me with the spikes he was shooting out of his hands.

Whoa, his power is actually pretty strong. Dodging it however was a cake walk. At least that's what I thought before I felt vertigo. The walls of the facility were shrinking, twisting and enlarging simultaneously which made me feel like throwing up.

'What is this?' some kind of space ability? The teleporting ninja however broke that notion when I saw him appear right infront of me. I wasn't an expert in physics but I'm sure in fiction one couldn't teleport in unstable space. So that rules out the ability being space related. A good dose of blue fixed me up real quick. I re-materializedthe shield and blocked his sword again.

The fight went on like this with the Ninja trying to hit me with cheap shots, the Impaler constantly shooting spikes at me and the vertigo guy had finally noticed his power wasn't working so he was shooting at me from the side. I wasn't even using 70 % of my abilities so the fight was getting boring. Deciding to end it, I materialized a hand construct and wrapped up the Impaler in it, Locked the Vertigo inducing fella with chains and when the Ninja appeared infront of me, I used my speed to catch him.

He tried to break free but after seeing my strength was greater than his, he teleported, taking us all with him. We appeared in a stadium where a soccer match was playing. He tried to kick me but I locked is legs together with chains. He teleported to Antarctica next. The two other guys were still with us, which baffled me. Next we went to Paris. Then the Savanna. Next, Hancock's trailer where he looked at us surprised. I waved at him and we jumped again.

Finally I got tired of the world tour and once we were somewhere in the Miami beach, I knocked him out with a love tap.

"You will have the whole world after you, if you don't let us go!"

The Vertigo guy shouted at me.

"Oh? The whole world? For you three? You guys are so weak! Why would your bosses offend someone as powerful as I for three shits like you."

I said as arrogantly as I could. When someone is angry they tend to spill out more information.

Sure enough, my plan worked as the guy's face changed to a flaming red due to righteous fury.

"We are agents of the Superhuman Individual Regulations Station (S.I.R.S)." The ninja tried to stop him by shaking his head. 'Can't he talk?', I wondered. The Vertigo guy continued,

"Our division has over a dozen superhuman agents and our technology is top of the line. You think my bosses are afraid of you, you piece of shit! You might be powerful but your strength is nothing against the might of the world!"

This guy…you'd think his father owns the entire world from the way he talks. I decided to mess with them a bit more.

"Hancock."

He looked confused and looked at the others. I had grouped them all together on the ground with construct handcuffs. The teleporter had a construct rope connecting him to me. I had figured out he couldn't teleport alone when someone was holding onto his skin.

His power took you along with him if you had skin to skin contact with him, that was why when I had held his naked hands he had dragged me with him. In addition, the contact was also mental, hence why the lady had successfully been teleported out of the meeting room by syncing her mind with his and why the other two had teleported with us. My constructs were mentally connected to me, so they went wherever I did.

"Hancock, is a public menace but your little group of wannabee SHIELD agents haven't done anything to him. Why is that?"

They all looked bewildered, probably wondering why too. Funnily enough, the Impaler was the one who answered.

" Not many know but back in the 80's they tried. Out of 40 S.I.R.S enhanced agents, only 1 came back. That person was director Hana. Ever since then the government and Hancock steered clear of each other."

The Ninja and Vertigo, were raptly paying attention.

"I'm guessing, you guys didn't know this?"

"They wouldn't, after all, I told Hana to keep it a secret. I'm surprised however at how, you know."

A new voice said behind me. I quickly turned around and slipped into a stance. I hadn't even felt anything! Mary was hovering infront of me sucritinizing the Impaler with an almost predatory look.

"No matter," she said and turned back to me.

"You, what are you?"

I didn't get the chance to say anything as she interrupted again.

"I can feel the essence of a demigod in you…but that's impossible."

I had a shocked look on my face at that but quickly hid it.

"Your turn, what are you?"

She gently flew down.

"Me? I am a true god-killer, your natural enemy."
