So yeah, Wonderwoman, wow. My brain short circuited for while as I processed the fact that I had jumped right behind one of the sexiest superheroes of all time. I was still watching her when she planted a boot on the side of my head. The impact threw me away and I slammed right onto a truck a hundred meters away.
I lost consciousness for a few seconds and the only thing that saved me from a mega punch was an instinctual use of my shields. They of course broke and she smashed my face in, digging me deeper into the vehicle. My nose was bleeding and my brain was fuzzy. I tried to world jump again but the power didn't respond. I tried to stem my bleeding with Bio-kinesis but I couldn't focus hard enough.
I had a laugh from behind the impressive form of Wonderwoman, who was now unsure of what she had done.
"Yes Diana, destroy him. Humans are the disease plaguing this beautiful world. A pest that needs to be exterminated. From their ashes, a better world will be remade."
She looked back at him, confusedly.
"Ares? Then who is…"
Trailing off she stared at my body in mild horror. That assured me, she had attacked accidentally and not out of malice. I couldn't handle an evil Diana, not after the whole clusterfuck with the Ancient One. Taking the chance, Ares used the debris to strike her away while she was distracted with me.
I wanted to sleep and just forget about everything. I had just come from one battle straight into another one and my body was on the verge of totally shutting down. Wonderwoman could handle this, she was one of the best combatants in DC and that was not considering her divine powers. I started drifting off to unconsciousness again when a voice at the back of my head started whispering, 'things turned out different in Captain America because of me, what if something goes wrong and Ares wins?'
[Detected 2 strains of superhuman d.n.a. Copied and saved]
[Amazonian d.n.a]
-Option 1- Transform- transform your body into a prime individual of the d.n.a sample. lasts 5 minutes and the host only displays 90% of the power.
-Option 2- Intergrate- incorporate the d.n.a into yourself. The d.n.a will face a 20% decrease in power.
-Option 3- Fuse- combine the d.n.a with another compatible one. Will remove the weaknesses inherent in both but face a 20% decrease in power.
[Incomplete Demigod d.n.a]
-Option 1- Intergrate- incorporate the d.n.a into your body. Due to the absence of a spark of divinity all abilities gained face a 60% decrease in ability. Effectively stops visible aging and comes with a long lifespan.
I opened my eyes and saw the text-box infront of me as clear as day even though everything else was blurly. I couldn't rest before this was over. With a monumental act of will, I wheezed out,
"Intergrate the demigod d.n.a."
My world exploded into light.
(Diana's P.O.V)
I had known Ares had been behind it all. Unfortunately, the urgency in our situation had clouded my mind and made me pursue the wrong man. Ares had been hiding on our side. This just made me question the goodness in mankind even more. Were my sisters right? Was man's world a place full of evil and treachery? Steve was the only one to show me that man could be saved. Even now despite how bad things had gotten, with Ares being more powerful than me, he was still fighting.
A presence suddenly appeared behind me, cutting me off from my thoughts. I whirled around and planted my foot on Ares' head, sending him to crash onto a truck, one of man's strange inventions. Knowing i had to end this fight soon I jumped and punched him again. My fist went through a strange shield and hit him right on the face. Blood started flowing out and that was when realization came back to me. I turned back to stare at Ares, who was taunting me with a sneer on his face.
I had attacked the wrong person, I thought in horror. Before I could do anything, Ares used his telekinesis to hit me with the debris lying around from our battle. I dug my feet on the tarmacked ground and blocked it all. I cleaved a long piece of metal in two, got a hold of one piece using the lasso and threw it to him.
Ares smirked as he floated upwards, I huffed in annoyance and jumped up towards him. He used his telekinesis to send me back to the ground. It went on like this without me getting close to him. Back in themiscyra, I had not fought an opponent who could fly so I found it very annoying. I threw a crate at him and he returned the bombs that were in it back at me. Thinking quickly, I threw a gas container at the bombs and a big explosion happened throwing me back hard.
I was disoriented and unsteady as Steve helped me up. I idly wondered what he had been doing during my fight with Ares. He started speaking to me but my ears were still ringing from my fall. All I could focus on was Ares' whereabouts. Steve left his watch in my hands and run towards the plane looking at me with regret.
Just then a bright light escaped from the truck I had punched the stranger through and something landed on the ground next to me. I saw the strange man, who was now shirtless and barefooted looking at me with hostility.
"Did you have to hit me that hard princess?"

My world exploded into light and all my wounds healed with visible speed. I extracted myself from the remains of the truck and breathed in. I had fallen out of Overdrive after Wonderwoman punched my face in and damn did she pack a punch. I looked at the scene happening a ways off from me and I was awed. Never had i seen anything like this before. Power was rolling off of Ares and the fact that Wonderwoman could go toe to toe with him without activating her divinity was impressive.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
I knew I couldn't help her as I was so I sat down, crossed my feet and looked deep within me. It was easier to meditate in this position and even though I knew it was dumb to do so in a war zone, I had no other choice.
The text box from the Omnitrix had stated that I needed a spark of divinity to access a Demigod's full powers. What was up with that? Maybe if I copy d.n.a from other Demigods, my watch could form a template of a divinity spark from many samples? Or did I just have to copy a god's d.n.a? I mean Ares was close so that presented me with a great opportunity.
That would have to wait however. My main concern was three things. One, checking to see if my body was all healed up, which fortunately it was. Two, to check how big an increase in ability the demigod d.n.a had given me. Individually with the 60% decrease and taking into account Wonderwoman's supposed strength from the comics, I would have been able to lift 40 tons, jump really high and run at 200 mph at the very least.
My ability being the cheat it was, stacked all the powers I gained on top of each other. It was only my second world and I was getting so powerful! I hadn't had time to figure out how much of an increase the Super soldier serum had given me. Assuming the Captain could lift almost a ton and run at 60 to 80 mph, it wasn't that big an increase.
However, the Captain is known for his huge stamina and I could feel that in it's uninjured state my body had endurance in spades. With Overdrive that increased my power by 10 times, I was looking at lifting 400 tons and a speed of 3000 mph. Due to my body's increase in durability, I could keep Overdrive on for 10 minutes now. I smiled happily at those rough calculations.
I could go toe to toe with the mcu hulk now. Though I was bit weaker in durability, I had a 'maybe' solution for it.
The third and final thing I had to do was looking at my x-gene. My anger during the talk with the Ancient One had caused me to activate another facet of my mutant ability. I remember the bright red light that had encased my fist when I had punched the door in rage. I had a feeling that my ability was not only about making shields and barriers but a lot more.
I found the bubble with the swirling colors around me and coaxed it. A green glow surrounded my body and I felt minute tears that i had missed when my body had healed getting fixed, the feeling was great and i let out a sigh of contentment. The green faded as I tried to call out the red color. It didn't work but the more I got frustrated the more it responded but refused to move. I remembered the rage I always had burning deep inside me and the red sprung up happily, ready to be used.
I cooled off the anger and before the red could go away I kept a hold of it right underneath my skin. My body felt as hard as a diamond now.
'So, orange for defence, red for offence and green for support, What if I used them all at the same time?' I thought. I had a feeling that wasn't all there was to it however, I would need to experiment more.
Without letting go of the red, I activated the other two colors and jumped straight up with barely any effort. I landed next to Wonderwoman and let go of green and orange, not wanting to exhaust myself. The red was influencing my thoughts a little bit and I was mad at her for hitting me.
"Did you have to hit me that hard, Princess?"
She jumped away from me and readied herself for a fight. I looked at Ares who was forming an armor out of the burning wreckage near him.
"I'm here to help. We can settle our differences later."
She shook her head.
"Ares is too powerful for you. You're not his match, especially now that he has started getting serious."
I scoffed but didn't blame her for underestimating me.
"You don't know what I can do Princess. Earlier you caught me by surprise that's all."
She remained indignant but nodded in acceptance.
"Follow my lead."
Without waiting for my confirmation, she blasted off towards Ares who was now encased in full body armor.
"Let's see what kind of God you really are."
He said, throwing two gigantic swords at Wonderwoman. She blocked them but was pushed back. I activated Overdrive and zoomed past Diana. Ares wasn't fast enough to react as I punched him on the belly. He was thrown high upwards and suspended himself up there. His armor was dented in the place I had hit him and he was coughing out blood. 400 tons is not a laughing matter.
I jumped up to follow him but I was slammed back on the ground hard. His telekinesis got a hold of me again and he forced me through a warehouse that was housing explosives. They exploded around me but the effect was negligible with me encased in an orange bubble. I threw a punch and the shockwave blasted the wreckage infront of me away. Diana was engaging Ares in close combat and she was using her lasso to block his swords in an impressive display. He managed to punch her away and telekinetically ripped some tank tracks and encased her in them.
I used my full speed and a sonic boom erupted behind me. To him, it looked as if I had teleported judging from the way his eyes widened comically.
" For a god, not to mention of war, you're pretty weak."
I arrogantly said, smacking him across his face. A text box appeared on my vision but I ignored it. My new power was intoxicating and I had a primal urge to make Ares submit to me as his better. He spit on the ground and tried to skewer me with his swords but failed.
"You will die for this, mongrel!"
He shouted at me. I parried his blow and tried to sweep his feet. He floated up and pushed me away telekinetically. Manifesting a shield behind me and all around us, I started bouncing around, alternating from one to the other. I didn't hold anything back as I rained kicks and punches on the god of war.
Getting tired of the rough treatment, he spread his hands out and his divine power threw me away with the force of a truck. Bam! I found myself next to Diana who was watching something in the sky. She frantically looked at me and shouted.
"Save him!"
It only took a second to remember who she was talking about. Once I did I formed a flat construct under me and flew upwards fast. How could I forget about Steve's sacrifice!
I wasn't a good guy by any stretch of the word but I wouldn't look away when someone needed help. I urged myself to go even faster and the plane was just a few hundred meters away from me when it happened. When a bomb explodes the shockwave hits first. My shields could negate all shockwave below a certain limit, otherwise they just broke.
My instincts screamed at me and I layered 7 shields around my body, which was my current limit. The first 4 broke and I was uncontrollably thrown back all the while shouting in surprise. The plane had exploded and the flames billowed out in a majestic form that one only sees in movies. I hit the ground and left a trail of ruined concrete behind me. I only had one shield fully intact, the rest having been cracked when I landed. A cry of gut-renching heartbreak escaped Diana's mouth and I knew then, Ares was fucked.
