Judging from the scenery around me, it was safe to say I wasn't in skypiea anymore. The air was fresher and i could smell the ocean. I tapped my feet and started flashing around. Using soru to better familiarize myself with it plus look for any civilization around me.
It took me 1 hour to scour the whole island and apart from the wildlife, there wasn't any sentient beings around. The animals were also pretty subdued with rabbits and deers having a higher population as compared to predators like the tigers. I speculated that something had happened to me after my fight with fake Enel. Something that had caused the black to activate and the ability I had gained had teleported me to a relatively safe area.
My first priority as of now was to try and get a place to stay for the night and something to eat. The sun was in the middle of the sky so I had enough time to do both. I had luckily come across a cave on the wall of the cliff I had jumped off earlier so that was one thing down.
I looked at the clearing in my front, watching my target. With my speed, I blitzed, broke it's neck and propped the deer's body on my shoulders even before the others could react and run away. I then ran to the cave and cleared it out. A few minutes later I had meat roasting over a fire pit. I had yet to intergrate the Uchiha bloodline because of the fear that, if I introduced a chakra system into my body, I wouldn't be able to have another internal power system.
Ki in Dragonball is stronger than chakra without dispute. The only way I could know for sure if by intergrating chakra into me would not close other avenues was to get help from someone knowledgeable in both physical energy and spiritual energy. Apart from going to Naruto where I would be pulled into the war and where everyone would distrust me, my best bet was bleach. Urahara was the smartest man in the bleach world and if there was someone who could help me, then it was him. All I had to do was promise him my help in dealing with Aizen.
So for the next five months, I would practice rokushiki and at this point I didn't think I needed a haki teacher anymore. After awakening observation haki, all I had to do was get a feel for it and try armament haki. I couldn't wait to try combining red enhancement with armament haki.
For the night, I made a mattress construct and slept. The next morning rolled by and I started my work out routine. My base form was pretty weak when compared to the monsters in the one piece world. My speed was my strongest asset, and there was no issue there. What I had to work on was my strength, flexibility and stamina.
For my stamina, I jumped into the ocean and tied rocks to my limbs with constructs then started swimming. I tested out my lung capacity and durability by diving deeper into the water where the pressure was crippling.
Flexibility, I honestly had no idea how to go about it. What I did though was try to twist my body like Spiderman and navigate the terrain with only my base form. It didn't work out very well though, so I put it on the back burner.
Strength was achieved by encasing multiple stones in a construct then lifting them by using my construct as a sort of grip/holder. Once the afternoon rolled by, I could feel my muscles were strained but a quick channeling of green healed me up to normal.
After another hearty meal, this time the meal accompanied by some fruits, I got down to practicing rokushiki. Soru was the ability I was most familiar with and after much deliberation, I decided not to focus on kami-e. I could already form shockwaves with my fist, so I had a clear plan on how to practice the Rokougan without mastering all the six powers.
Tekkai was an ability that came about from tensing your muscles to make them as hard as iron, but one had to stay rooted in one place. Masters of it could probably ignore this disadvantage. Being a speed focused fighter, this was clearly not a skill for me, so I crossed it off the list too. Armament haki was even better at defense and it didn't have such restrictions.

In the evening, I caught a huge fish and after eating, I started my practice with haki. Haki, came from the spirit. I had already tapped into one of the three types and all I had to do now, was focus and change its application to make it coat my body in a layer of hardening. That said, it was hard. Like really really hard. That first night, all I could do was observation haki and nothing else. It got to the point where I decided to leave it be. Maybe I had overestimated myself a little.
The next week, I continued with my exercise, upping things when I got used to the difficulty. I also started getting used to my devil fruit. I didn't want to go down the path of fake Enel by jumping right on to electromagnetism without first mastering the basics. I had tried out my elemental form which let everything phase right through me.
Basic attacks like lightning strike and god's judgement were easy to do, because all I had to do was to point my attack and let loose. Complex applications like turning into a thunder giant were harder though and the sensory feedback I had gotten when using my observation haki in conjunction with the fruit was almost overwhelming. Everything was heightened and my reaction speed was just…wow.
I had geppo down now and although the speed was slow when compared to literally…any of my other high speed movement skills, it was pretty exhilarating. I had tried to merge soru into geppo to create geppo-soru but I was still in stuck on the first step. Haki training was…by far the slowest. I didn't know if it was because my affinity for armament was bad or not but I still hadn't managed to coat myself with it.
My strength was getting upgraded quickly however. Almost too quickly. I wagered I could lift 60 tonnes in my base form and my speed was probably up to 6000 mph, I think. The speed aspect was probably because of the passive effect caused by the rumble rumble fruit. When active, I could probably manage mach 320 or so. All these figures were as a result of my quess work. I honestly had no idea how powerful I was now.
It was the start of my fourth week when a pirate ship docked at my island. They had a skull that had cracks on it's eye holes as a jolly roger. I didn't recognize them but as they jumped off the ship, I found out they were here for restocking. I wasn't good at picking up electromagnetic waves in the air like Enel yet. However, my passive sense picked up distress from inside the inner part of the ship.
I wasn't naive enough to think that all pirates were like Luffy and his crew. I could deduce from these pirates attitude that what they had chained up were slaves. I used Soru and quickly ended the ones on the island before flashing onto the ship. The Captain was startled and jumped back in fear.
"What the…who the fuck are you!"
"No-one important just the guy who's gonna kill you."
They all looked at me for a second then burst out laughing.
"Hahaha, oh yeah, you and what army."
I shook my head. 'Generic villains, all the same.'
Without any more talking, I formed a scythe and mowed all of them down. This however, proved to be a dumb move. After killing the crew on the ship, there was no one left to sail the damn thing. Unless…I proceeded down to the cells and freed all the prisoners.
Fortunately, being a mix of both genders, there were some who knew how to sail a ship. I was curious as to why pirates were interested in slavery because usually they would be busy looting and killing but turns out that this ship had slaves meant for the celestial dragons. Catching a glimpse at their depravity made me disgusted at them. There were kids on the ship, for chrissake. Even if I didn't do anything else, I would make sure to hurt them before I left this world.
I hadn't yet thought of leaving my practice island but I really needed a haki teacher. After spending 3 weeks practicing it without any luck, I had finally given up. I couldn't do it alone. The only person I knew who could accommodate my request was Rayleigh. He was at Sabaody, an easy-going guy and not to mention very powerful.
The other thing that changed my mind was a picture of Ace in a discarded newspaper. My hand gripped the newspaper tighter as I read on. Turns he had been captured by Aokiji. I sighed audibly and massaged my temple, a behavior I had to stop before it became habitual. Some things were probably meant to happen, like the time travel shenanigans theory from the flash.
Luffy and his crew had helped me when I was at my weakest plus Ace was a cool guy, the least I could do was save his brother. I looked at the date and gritted my teeth even harder. His execution was slated for the next day and I didn't know where I even was.
"Damn it."
