The Amazons instantly shifted into more aggressive stance. Swords and Spears were pointed at me.
"Whoa, calm down. I mean no harm."
They only lowered their weapons when their queen gestured. Man these Amazons are wound up tight.
"My daughter is not here. Leave or face the wrath of the Amazon warriors."
She said sternly. I doubt anyone other than Diana could take me and Queen Hippolyta must have felt that way too. In the past my brashness might have caused me to tempt fate and fight them, but I was wiser now than before.
"Queen Hippolyta, I shall take my leave as you requested but if I may ask, where can I find her?"
I calmly inquired.
An Amazon who resembled Hippolyta got fed up with me and stepped forward haughtily.
"Are you ears deaf? Themyscira is a land that should not be dirtied by the likes of you."
I rose an eyebrow at that,
"And you are?"
"Antiope, general of the Themysciran army."
I decided to be a little bit petty.
"Never heard of you."
Antiope looked at me with fury in her eyes ready to lunge at me.
"Antiope, that's enough."
The queen said.
"Surely you jest my queen, this man infiltrated the island uninvited. He should be punished."
The Queen shook her head and Antiope stepped back.
"My daughter is in a quest given by Lord Zeus himself."
My eyes widened at that.
"The gods? I thought Ares got rid of all of them."
She looked at me and sighed.
"I had hoped so too. Ares had used his essence to kill their Avatars in the mortal plane and then prevented their escape from Olympus. A god cannot die when their throne of power remains unbroken. With Ares's Avatar dead, the seal broke partially and so the gods communicated with us."
I had been wondering what kind of change my being here would cause and it seems like I'd finally gotten the answer. The gods came back. I didn't know what was in store in the future for the Justice league. With the gods here I didn't want to stick around anymore. Luckily I had already said my goodbyes to the Grand Master and the others back in Asia.
The plan was to go to the Ben 10 universe. The only place I could get an idea on how to Upgrade my Omnitrix. When I'd looked at the text box, the watch had displayed from my encounter with Ares, nothing had shown. The only thing left was to Upgrade the watch for better efficiency.
Another worrying matter was that the watch felt…'full', for the lack of a better word. It seems it had a limit on how many d.n.a it could save and copy. I didn't understand it, because every time I meditated the watch felt like a bottomless pit. Almost every question hinged on whether I could upgrade it or not.
I looked up to see the Amazons still staring at me with hostility. Sheesh, cut it out already.
"Queen Hippolyta, I'm afraid I'll have to cut this meeting short. Tell your daughter I'll see her in a century."
Without waiting for her response, I world jumped, my intent aimed at Ben 10 universe or any of it's alternates.
I briefly materialized infront of the iconic rust-bucket before I felt something grab me and found myself hurtling down from the sky and straight through a skyscraper. I smashed through the glass window and found myself in an office where a boss was deep in his secretary's legs, on a table. We all stared at each other for a second before the secretary, who I could tell was gorgeous screamed loud enough to burst my eardrums.
They scrambled to get off the table and ran out the door. Rubbing my head I slipped on the comfortable chair and sighed. Someone, most probably ROD, didn't want me to go to Ben 10. This meant that they didn't want me to upgrade the watch. The original Omnitrix was so overpowered, it wasn't even funny. If I got that power with my ability to traverse the multiverse then few would stand up to me. Was this payback for my blatant disrespect? To be fair though, I had had every right to lash out. looking at it from his perspective however, I was someone who had ruined his plans.
This new development put a block in many of my own plans. So what to do? I tapped the table absentmindedly before I remembered what had been happening on it and stopped. I was fully immersed in my thoughts, when a fast moving object landed on the office floor infront of me.
The dust cleared and I saw a homeless looking Will Smith, who reeked of sweat and alcohol stare at me.
"So I heard something, thought it was a bomb, turns out it's a dick."
Did he just…insult me. Hancock took a swig of his bottle looked at me again.
"Are you deaf or something?"
I frowned at him. This guy was a massive asshole. He was like if Superman, took a different road in life, never met Lois and was an alcoholic to boot.
"Asshole."
I muttered. He whirled to look at me with a chilly gaze.
"Say that again. I dare you."
He said, beer now forgotten.
"You call me a dick, I call you an Asshole."
Later on I would look back at this time and berate myself for my stupidity. The only thing I knew next was that up was down and down was up. What saved me was the red I always kept underneath my skin enhancing my durability.
A moment later I was bouncing on top of the water in complete disorientation. What had just happened? I asked myself when I got control of my body again. I formed a construct under me and hovered on top of the freaking ocean! I looked and saw the beach a hundred meters away from where I was.

Half a second later, Hancock appeared infront of me. A sonic boom followed him soon after. He observed me with a little surprise and took a swig from his bottle again.
"You're tough but not tougher than me."
He said while nodding to himself.
I waved the text box in my vision away and looked at him unbelievingly,
"Are you telling me, you threw me away, without knowing I could survive! Not cool man!"
"You called me an Asshole!"
He tried to defend himself. Oh I wasn't going to let this go however.
"Everyone calls you an Asshole. I don't see you throwing people up everytime."
"Today was a bad day for me, okay. Besides you survived. Just…sleep it off or…whatever."
He turned to leave. Oh no, you don't you piece of shit. I slipped into Overdrive and red-enhanced my speed. Like a ghost I appeared infront of him and punched him away. He shot off towards the ocean and I was left nursing a bruised fist. Damn this dude is tough. That felt like how a human would feel punching a boulder!
Hancock floated out of the Ocean, his clothes soaked and with a sour expression. Holding back my laughter I said,
"We're even now. The name's Chris."
He looked like he was gonna push the issue but turned back and flew away, leaving me with one word.
"Hancock."
I shook my head at his weird behavior and followed. Once I made it to the beach, I was surrounded by reporters who had swarmed the area.
"Are you related to Hancock in any way?"
"Mister, what is your stand on the property damage caused by the Superhero Hancock?"
"What is your name?"
"How old are you?"
"Is Hancock your lover?"
"What! no!"
I protested vehemently at that last one, as I motioned them to stop talking. I could see army vehicles pulling up on the road and soldiers streaming out. For now however they were watching.
"My name is Chris Wentworth, 22 years old, born in America though not this one." I stopped for a bit of effect and saw them open their eyes widely. Why I'm I telling them all this?
"I am not related to Hancock in any way. in fact I just met the guy today after crashing through a building on my rocky arrival. i can't comment on any property damage caused by Hancock because as I said, I just arrived. I am not here as a prelude to an invasion, so people of earth you don't have to worry. I know some of you are skeptical and will probably try to scheme against me. Don't bother, I am powerful enough to punch a hole through the moon and break it in half. I repeat, Do. Not. Try. To. Scheme. Against. Me. That is all I have to say."
I created 2 constructs on the base of my foot, inside my shoe and combined with my perfect steadiness, hovered above them and flew, Black Adam style, towards the army vehicles. A senior officer stepped up to me and introduced himself,
"I am major Xavier. I need you to come with me son."
I shook hands with him and smiled.
"The name is Chris Wentworth major. I have a deep respect for the army seeing as I served back in my earth."
He relaxed a little and returned my smile.
"Then you understand, why I need you to accompany me."
I nodded as we went into the Jeep.
"The boys at the top, are wary of me and want to know my intentions towards the USA. As I told the reporters Major, I am not one to seek trouble."
We settled in and the Jeep pulled out. 2 hours later, we arrived at an army base. The major and I alighted and he escorted me to an elevator. The elevator went down and opened up to an underground facility. The major further proceeded to guide me to a meeting room with a retinue of guards we had picked up on the way here.
The major and I alighted once we arrived and he led me straight towards the elevator. We went down and the major led me directly to a meeting room, followed by a retinue of guards that we had picked up along the way. The doors opened up and instead of a general, the president or other senior members of the government, there were only two people inside.
The first one was a beautiful lady who had hazel eyes and a body to die for. She was furiously typing on her laptop and didn't pay me any mind. The second one was a Mel Gibson look-alike who had a cigar between his fingers. I was still surprised when the major saluted him and left.
He turned to look at me with a curious glint in eyes. He offered me a seat and I took it.
"Nice to meet you Mr.Wentworth, my name is Marcus Hughes and this is my assistant Hana. I head a division of the government, that deals with supernatural occurrences. Hancock is one of the many cases we have dealt with."
I perked up at that.
"One of many?"
He nodded and gestured with the cigar.
"The world we live in is full of wonder and mystery Chris, can I call you Chris?"
I allowed it and he went on,
" You after all are a perfect example of what I'm saying. You claim, you come from a different earth right?"
I frowned. Claimed?
"Yes, although there are some differences."
" Oh yeah? like what?"
"Well, for starters we don't have a Hancock lying around."
He laughed hard at that joke... though I could tell it was forced...no what I'm I talking about? Mr. Hughes laughed because he thought my joke was truly funny.
Infact, Mr. Hughes is a very good man. He has done so much for his country. I should emulate the sacrifices he has made for his country. I should serve my country. SERVICE FOR MY COUNTRY. FOR MY...STOOOP!
I channeled the blue hard and my head finally cleared up from it's hazy process. My shield was surrounding me, blocking the bullets that were being shot at me by Marcus. Then it all clicked, revealing my identity and background to the reporters, intentionally picking a fight with Hancock, my submissive attitude to the army... Something or someone had been controlling me. Without the blue, I could have fallen prey to their machinations and become a pawn. The prime suspect for my attempted brain-wash was the woman, who was taking cover as Marcus continued emptying his bullets on my shield.
I looked at his eyes and saw that they were unfocused, I sent him to the wall with a construct and looked at the lady that was now cowering infront of me.
"The jig is up, I know you're the one who's in charge here. You tried to control me. I want to know why. Why would you poke a sleeping lion!?"
She widened her eyes at my shout but then composed herself. Right before my eyes her whole demeanor changed. She got up, straightened out her clothes and put on a beautiful smile.
"How perceptive of you Mr. Wentworth, I'm impressed. Why don't we try this again?"
