After a long time, walking, taking any stone of good size, absorbing them through my feet and digesting them to the appropriate format, I finally approach the exit. Thanks to my up on the stats, I can shoot with more strength, combining it with the tendrils. The way I do that is by covering the part of my arm filled with air with tendrils, and then pressing it with all my strength.

With that, I can make the air stronger, shooting it with more power. The light of the sun in the outside shows that is obviously day and making me hope that there isn’t any human settlement around, if there even are humans in this world.

Getting to the exit carefully, I see a forest with tall trees that I have never seen before. The grass is green and beautiful, and even without ears, I can hear the sounds of the birds and the rustle of the leaves. Neat.

I walk out, carefully paying attention to my surroundings. I don’t want to be surprised by an enemy. I decide to explore a bit, keeping my left arm in cannon form and biceps filled with air, ready to shoot.

I want to find a river, maybe I’ll be able to use water in some way. After some time walking around, just admiring the landscape, I finally hear some running water. Approaching carefully, I find a river. Good!

Looking around, I notice a creature to my right. A deer and its child. The deer is too big for me to eat right now… I’ll have to eat the smaller one first, and then handle the second one when I’m bigger, and it will still be slow.

Just for caution, in the case the mother escapes, I transform my other arm, reducing the sizes of my legs to compensate for the cannon. I silently approach to have the advantage of shooting from up close. I take advantage of that by transforming my legs into spider-like legs, so that I make minimum noise while moving.

After approaching, I aim at the two at the same time, to their heads. I shoot at the same time, ending their lives instantly. Nodding to myself, I approach their bodies with their heads pierced while the notification appears in front of me.

Excellent! I immediately start to eat the little dear, dissolving it with all my strength after leaving my bullets beside the body, since when I go all out I digestion, I lose control and will end up digesting the stones completely. And I don’t want that.

By looking at the sun, I take two hours to eat the little deer, and four to eat the mother. I’ve also grown a lot, and now, I’m tall as a twelve years old child, around 1,20 meters tall, enough to be considered a human size.

With this and my increased stats, I can now fight if I want! Of course, if a normal slime acted like me, they would be invincible at higher levels, but they don’t have human intelligence, neither the knowledge of a human from earth, both things that I have. Because of that, I’m an overpowered existence compared to my peers.

This flexible and gelatinous body is extremely useful. I walk around, trying something that I had tried on the cave for a few times, that is detect mana in other living things. It’s a technique that I was able to use with Ki, so mana shouldn’t be too different, as it has been behaving similar enough.

It doesn’t take long, as I was almost able to do that in the cave. Eventually, I start making out the surroundings not from what I see, but purely from feeling. Yes, this is similar to what I used to do. Suddenly, a message appears for me:

I could have gained this trait earlier, if I had tried seriously to digest the stone bullets that float inside me now. I wonder if I eat something poisonous I will be able to make poison. With that in mind, I also take some plants that are colorful, and look poisonous.

After a few hours wandering around, taking stones and making stone bullets with an astonishing speed thanks to my stomach acid, and eating plants and killing birds and small animals, I finally react level twenty one, as well acquiring a new skill:

I have a lot of the digested plants inside me, and, with water, I can create more poison. With that, I can add poison to my bullets. Now, time to make a home. Going back to the cave, I gather some branches and leaves.

I also make a hole in the ground, around one meter, just beside the entrance of the cave. I use two thick branches that I cut off with my acid, to make a support for the roof. With the branches and large leaves that I found around, I make a roof.

Going back to the river, I find some clay. Gathering a lot of it, as maximum as I can carry, I go back to my new home. Leaving the clay on the ground, I cover the roof with it, and it doesn’t leak inside thanks to the leaves.

Cutting the grass from the ground in patches, like carpets, I cover the roof with them and water them with some water from the river. I also use the clay to make a small wall in front of the house to stop water from entering, as well making walls with a window.

I love this kind of thing, when master taught me this, I practiced a lot to be able to survive at any moment and environment. Unfortunately, there isn’t any bamboo around, so I won’t be able to make anything out of them.

Well, whatever, time to go out hunting. After all, I made the hole in the ground just to relax a bit. I also don’t need any sleep, although I do can sleep if I want. Well, I use he house to store bullets after making them.

After a few days hunting in the forest, I grow big, really big, enough to reach 1,80 meters in height. I also gain a new skill after eating a lot, another one from changing forms and another one from keeping stuff inside me.

With that, I can keep my size stable, and store stuff inside me. Inside my stomach, that can keep up four cubic meters of content, I store stone bullets and poisonous plants, so nothing floating inside me anymore.

Also, my Stone Bullet ability has changed the way it’s used. I don’t need to inflate myself anymore, since I can use the air from inside my stomach to expel the stone bullet, instead of inflating my body. Because of that, I just need to turn my hand into the barrel of the gun to make the bullet spin.

With that, and my now human size, I can fight with more ease. I’ve also been practicing my form change. Now, thanks to my mimic skill, the more I understand the body, the better is my appearance.

Now, I’m much more similar to a human. A naked human without sex, but still a human, with a male shape. I’m similar to the me in my previous life, with a lean but muscular body, focused in agility with defined muscles, with hair made with slime, being one whole mass instead of split strands, goes just below my neck.

I also have pseudo-eyes, made after the eyes of a cat, capable of seeing. I have imitated the eyes of the cats that I have found astray on this forest. They have white sclera, with blue irises and vertical pupils.

My face doesn’t have any feather but a sharp nose, that can indeed smell. I only mimic a mouth when I’m eating, since that then I can taste what I eat. My body is also now much darker, almost pitch-black, and a bit shiny if I want to. You can’t inside my body anymore.

And now, I’m a shadow gliding through the night, practicing the movements that I learned from my master, such as stealth movement and free-running, as well moving and fighting in the form of the animals that I have killed, although I still can’t fly, since my body is too heavy for that. Well, now it’s the journey to the level one hundred!
