[A few months later]
At last, it was completed. I held a syringe in my hand filled with liquid. If this was me a few months ago, I would've been grinning sinisterly at it, but as I continued dissecting people and running hundreds of gruesome experiments, I lost the purity I had left. I slowly became empty‐ no, I slowly succumbed to the impurity lurking within. If my mother had a great level of purity, then my father had a great level of impurity. So, I was slowly becoming like him.
I was renowned as the greatest doctor to ever exist, thanks to my ability, but in order to maintain that image, I had to look the part. I had a haircut and finally tended to my hygiene. As such, I managed to earn my own hospital in a short time, making it easier to sneak around. Mr. Eliopoulos helped me build the foundation and captured my first hundred experimental subjects.
I entered the secret chamber that resided deep in my hospital. I ignored the irrational aliens banging the jail bars. I walked into the next room. Instead of those mindless living beings, I chose to take care of a corpse.
"Good morning, Muriel. I came to visit you again."
Despite losing most of my emotions and positive expressions, I always managed to smile at her. Also, thanks to the improvement in my [Heal] ability, I managed to improve the state of Muriel's corpse. Unfortunately, it still wasn't enough to revive her, but it gave me hope.
Anyway, I was busy watering the garden around her until Mr. Eliopoulos disrespectfully entered Muriel's beautiful domain.
"I heard you finished it." He sauntered over the tiles and looked down at my sister's corpse. "What a strange hobby," he commented.
I ignored him until I finished my daily chores in Muriel's domain. After doing so, I showed him what he wanted to see.
A replica of the miasma of Hell. It brought about one's true malicious nature. Thus, the principles of Hell applied to those who allowed themselves to be deceived by the stench of malevolence.
Accounting insanity with inhumane; inhumane with murder; murder with death; four being associated with death, there was an unspoken 4-rule: Feel none but the craving of blood; Roam the bustling streets for potential targets; Assault and torture; Murder and massacre.
"Oh, that black liquid looks gorgeous." He flicked the tip of the syringe. "How about we test it?"
According to Beelzebub and my research, the miasma of Hell was more potent than any other option to stimulate impurity. Well, Hell was the domain for demons, and demons were the source of impurity, so it made sense.
I guided him to one of the unaffected subjects. The man was awake, chained to a wall. Seeing the face of the one who captured him and an unknown person holding a syringe with black liquid in his hand, he couldn't help but tremble and sweat.
"Please... I have a family!" He pleaded with shaky breathing.
"Can I do the honors, doctor?" Mr. Eliopoulos asked, shooting out some of the black liquid.
"You already have the syringe."
"Please!" The man continued to beg for his life, but unfortunately for him, I experienced this situation hundreds of times, so it was no longer effective. And Mr. Eliopoulos was more merciless than me.
"Make it snappy. I still want to spend time with Muriel," I rushed, not wanting to spend my valuable time on nothing other than my precious little sister.
"Okay~" Without hesitation, Mr. Eliopoulos injected the crying man with the miasma of Hell.
"AHHHHH!" The man screamed and then immediately lost consciousness.
"Huh? What happened?" Mr. Eliopoulos asked, bewildered. He then looked at the empty syringe dumbfounded.
"Due to the sudden surge of negative emotions, his mind broke, causing him to lose consciousness as a self-defense mechanism in an attempt to get rid of the cause. However, the mind—the purity—will lose, and then he'll wake up, only having impure blood left."
Impure and pure blood usually live in harmony, but the miasma of Hell stimulates the impurity to aggressively eat at the purity. If the impurity is equal to or above the purity, then the success rate is 100%. With this method, I can spread the miasma, and only those with high-level purity will survive, making this the world I wanted—one with only benevolent people.
After my monologue, the man woke up.
That was quicker than I thought. So, he must've had a stronger impurity, huh? To think such a disgusting man pleaded for his life. And this world is filled with this type of person.
"Hhaggfjhf!" The crazy ma- monster screeched.
"Amazing!" Mr. Eliopoulos smiled, pleased with the results. "You did a great job, doctor!" He patted my back.
This is the first time I've seen him so happy-go-lucky. Does he enjoy chaos that much?
"This much is expected." I closed my eyes, taking in his praise, and then opened them again. "That aside, are you done with your preparations?"
"A plan to get that god-level human here? Don't worry. It's all taken care of."
"I see. Then the time is near. This world will soon know the toxic lying beneath the surface."
"Right. The initial stage is done, so I'm out. I'll leave the rest to you, doctor." He patted my shoulder, passing the baton before leaving for the last time.
At some point, our goals didn't align. I didn't have any ill intent towards humans, nor everyone as a whole. I had two goals: Kill that masked man and bring the true nature of every living being to the surface. Both could be accomplished by intoxicating the Medicio Faction with malevolence. Mr. Eliopoulos and Beelzebub, on the other hand, wanted to annihilate the human and alien race as a whole.
This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I don't know their reason behind that except Beelzebub's, but even for me that is what I call 'pure evil'.
After the initial stage, our goals were finally no longer connected, and so we decided to go our separate ways.
With that man finally gone, I could go back to Muriel's room.
Yeah, the time is nigh. Mine too.
I looked at my hands before putting on my gloves. Despite being only twenty-one years old, my hands were slightly wrinkled. Because I hadn't slept for nearly four years, my life span decreased quicker, and I aged rapidly.
I once again entered that blooming room and stood before the very same corpse that I always did. Even after her death, she still exuded such a great deal of blue gas. Being in this room, embraced by her benevolence, I felt a sense of comfort and warmth.
"Muriel..."
In truth, I knew she never hated me. I just wanted to believe it because I didn't deem myself worthy of her love. I didn't want to become complacent and stop striving for her affection. Until I forgave myself for this despicable and cursed appearance of mine, I couldn't let her forgive me.
However, with her gone, I ended up embracing this traumatic appearance of mine in order to avenge her.
I didn't forget about that masked man. Mr. Eliopoulos told me that man was a big figure in the Rebel Faction and that Faction always targeted the alien nation's support—the Medicio Faction. He will surely come here if I set the stage.
I leaned closer to my sister's face and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. I then got up and covered my mouth and nose with my mask. The liquid form was just the initial stage. Next was replicating the miasma in gas form to spread it easily across the entire Faction.
I'm going to need to get more bold and aggressive with my methods and experiments. I'll also need more hands. But this will catch the attention of the knights, so I'll need to minimize my direct activity.
I walked out of Muriel's room and past the ranting, mindless aliens. Setting forth towards my goals.
Just you wait, masked bastard. I'm coming for you.

[Present. Cain's POV]
After telling me about himself, he continued caressing his sister's cheek. Compared to all the other times I saw him, he finally showed a hint of vulnerability.
Should I make use of his weakness?
"Why did you tell me all of this bullshit?"
"You said it yourself, didn't you?" He looked at me and directed all of his attention to me. "That you'll decide what to do about the matter depending on whether my actions are just or not, right?"
"That's true. As long as you aren't 'evil', I'll let it slide. However, I can only turn a blind eye. I can't help you, because while we are the same in a sense, we're different in another. I want to kill humans, and you want to kill aliens. We don't harness any malicious intent towards the opposite race."
"That's more than enough for me." He got up and extended his hand, asking for a handshake. "Then, that makes us allies, right?"
"I guess so. You haven't forgotten your side of the deal, have you?" I shook his hand firmly.
"Of course not. Sit against the wall while I prepare the syringe and liquid."
"Here?" I looked around at the serene scenery.
"That's right. Is it wrong of me not wanting you to lose consciousness and stay in the room filled with those hideous, disgusting beasts?"
I see. So that's how it is.
I tugged a smile at his unusual consideration and complied. I sat the furthest I could away from the blooming flowers and beautiful corpse.
"By the way, you didn't elaborate before, but what exactly happened in Heaven?"
"You're seriously asking me that? After I went through the effort of putting such a boring topic aside?" He stopped what he was doing and looked at me before sighing. "Fine."
The Cleanse of Heaven:
An event that occurred in Heaven every century due to it involving every individual.
Every angel was cleansed of any form of impurity. This held two goals:
1. To rat out any impure angels lurking within Heaven.
2. To ensure everyone was following the principles of Heaven, and nobody had the potential or intent of becoming an impure angel.
"This is because the impure angels—demons—and pure angels ran an experiment. Experiment I and Experiment II."
Experiments? It must be about how we came to.
"Angels and demons are the same. Demons are simply fallen angels who were exiled from Heaven to uphold their purity. What does that have in common with our races?" He asked, approaching me with a syringe. He then injected me.
My mind trailed off, but I could still answer due to it being so obvious.
"Good and...evil?"
"Correct." He slightly nodded before turning his back to me.
"But of course, like humans and aliens, it's not like you immediately know or find out that someone is evil. This applies to angels as well, therefore demons remain lurking in Heaven. And once again, like humans and aliens, they reproduce. Now then, here's a question: What did the Supreme Being do to the offspring of the pure and impure angels?"
Noticing I was too dazed to answer, he simply smiled after taking off his mask.
"The Supreme Being dropped their ass off on Earth. The impure angels were dropped on Hell, and the offsprings- or rather, the half-pure and half-impure breed were dropped on Earth. And as you know, reproduction is luck-based. That's why some people are more evil than the rest. They inherited more from their impure parent. Also, there is the issue with the level of purity and impurity from the demons and angels."
A simple glance at me, he realized I was on the verge of passing out. I was unable to fight the fatigue any longer.
"The half-pure and half-impure breed wasn't necessarily a result of angels not being able to keep their dick and pussy in their pants, but-"
"Wait... isn't mating... considered as... impure?" I struggled to ask with half-lidded eyes.
"Huh? How do you think angels are created? Do you think they magically fall from the sky? Remember that they're our ancestors. Their reproduction system works the same as ours."
"Then-"
"Impurity refers to the usage of violence or a deed done based on malicious intent. Simply put, anything inhumane or things that goes against the principles of Heaven. Mating isn't one of them."
"I see..." Feeling my fatigue hit me once more, I simply nodded.
"Like I said, humans and aliens were intentionally created. Experiment I: The mating between low-level angels of both, pure and impure. The results were humans. Experiment II: The mating between middle and high-level angels. The result was aliens. Of course, the Supreme Being didn't approve of this experiment which is why both races are on Earth, albeit on different Earths. Not to mention that due to our nature consisting of pure and impure thoughts and impulses, we are incapable of following the principles of Heaven. It's a natural conclusion, so all offspring, upon birth, were exiled. Naturally, the Supreme Being didn't allow this nonsense to continue for long."
He shrugged before sitting on his seat.
"The more we bred, the less 'blood' flowed within us, gradually making us weaker than them. Of course, humankind's original strength deteriorated faster than the alien's due to the difference between the levels of purity and impurity."
As he continued, I gradually became more invested. However, my feelings were not requited. He gradually became bored of talking and completely cut off without finishing the entire story.
"Well, that's enough of that. The more interesting thing is your origin."
My origin...? Oh right, he injected me with that miasma of Hell saying that it'd make me stronger. If he's confident that I won't lose my mind...
"Cain, you don't follow the human lineage."
Accaording to Dr. Stein, I have god-level pure and impure blood. A concubine of the Supreme Being had an affair with a god-level impure angel. The offspring—me—was cursed by the Supreme Being and banished from Heaven.
That 'curse' is what prevents me from dying from avoidable near-death situations. I thought it was just bullshit.
Anyway, this meant that, unlike every other human, my impure or pure blood was more potent because I didn't follow the human lineage created generation after generation. Furthermore, it explained why, as far as I could remember, I was an orphan with no memories of my parents. Other than my experiences, my hatred towards humanity was mainly derived from my differences.
At that moment my body suddenly weakened and I immediately dropped down. My consciousness rapidly faded.
