Ivory stared at him, eyes widened. She tried to understand what he meant, but found no other meaning other than the one in her head.
'You are not telling me you just lied to the people in there?'
'It is not lying, it is called "brave" I was smart' Draco chuckled.
'Do you think you are safe telling me all these?' Ivory could not believe the person she just met was revealing so much to her.
'Why not? You look harmless'. He walked closer to her.
'For all I care, I might go in there and tell them you just lied. You have got no fears. And trust me, you are the dumbest person I have ever met' Ivory managed to let her anger out with the words.
'That sounds funny. I guess you are not really good at getting angry'.
'You don't think I can go there and tell them all you did?' Ivory asked angrily.
'If that will make you any less angry, you can go. I will advise you not to, because there are a lot of things I am willing to teach you' Draco put his hands in his pocket, the appointment letter already folded in his pocket.
'What do you know? We are meeting for the first time today, and you are planning to teach me, how sure are you that I don't know more than you do?' Ivory said, this time less angry.
'A minute is enough for me to know how dumb anyone is' he shrugged.
'You are not referring to me, are you?' Ivory raised her brows.
'I am sorry, but you happen to be the victim here. If I were you, I would accept the words and learn to be less dumb'.
'Is it because I am wearing this?' Ivory took off her sunglasses.
'No' he shook his head in negation 'without the glasses, you look more dumb and ….' Draco shook his head and walked off.
'Hey you!' Ivory ran after him.
'I am done. Spending time with you is one of the greatest time wasters'.
'You have to withdraw all those dirty words you have said before I allow you to go. I really mean it. Ivory positioned herself in front of him.
'Are you planning to create a scene here?' Draco frowned.
'I should ask you that. If you want this to end, then withdraw those words' Ivory said stubbornly.
'Your phone?' Draco brought out one of his hands from his pocket.
'What has that got to do with anything? Are you going to apologize with messages?'
'I was going to give you my number so that you will call me. I have something very important to do,' he suddenly appeared tense.
'Go, there is no need to apologize again. I just realized you are just one of the unusual humans I will come across'. Without another word from her, Ivory walked out of the place.
Maybe it was not going to be easy looking for a job after all. She wore her sunglasses again.
'Hello, can you help me with this?' A voice called out behind Ivory.
'Me?' She pointed to herself as she turned in the direction the voice came from.
'Yes. I have been trying to get this number on my phone, it seems it is gone, that is the last thing I want'. The woman said worriedly.
'Your phone?'
'Yes. I was wondering if you can help me out. I am exhausted already'. The woman yawned and passed the phone to Ivory.

'All you have to do is to click this button here…' Ivory moved closer to the woman so that she could see what she was explaining.
"I got that" Ivory collected the phone from the woman and checked through it, she frowned. Nothing seemed amiss.
"Do you get it?" A message popped up on the woman's phone as Ivory tried to answer her.
"You have got a message" Ivory returned the phone to the woman.
The woman frowned and started walking away. Ivory wondered what was wrong with her. People were behaving weird. She had not been conscious of her environment, maybe that was the reason everything was happening all too fast.
The next places she saw that were in need of workers were not willing to offer her a job. It was either she didn't have the qualification that was required if she or she was too young to get a job there. She signed in frustration as she raised her head to another board boldly written "workers needed, no qualification required" if they would not allow her too, she would just go home and forget about getting any job.
A smiling woman at the door directed her to a room. First time someone would smile at her. It might not be bad after all. If she gets the job, she would give her dad a lot of money, then plan to go on a trip somewhere far with Stacy. She will make sure to give him all he wants. She smiled at the thought.
"Have your seat" a man she had noticed pointed to a chair.
"I am Ivory…" she started to say but the man waved her to silence.
"It is not necessary to introduce yourself. All I need is your experience. Where have you worked before?" The man smiled again.
"I have worked in a lot of places, I can do anything you want me to do" Ivory remembered Draco and decided to try her luck. Who knows, it might work.
"Can you mention one of those places? Or, no need" the man said on second thought.
"I can mention them if you want, but since there is no need, we can forget it" Ivory smiled and took off her sunglasses. It doesn't seem right to put that on her face when she might get the job.
"I will call the security guard to show you around, when you come back you will tell me what you can do, and how you can add value to this company" Ivory was a bit sure of what she heard. She hesitated for some seconds before standing up.
"Are you not interested in working for us?" The man raised his head to look at her.
"Not that, I am just being surprised," she said quickly, in case the man changed his mind about her working for him.
"A lot of people come here to get a job, but only a few get the job. This is supposed to be some sort of interview for you. Whatever suggestion you offer will determine your position in the company. I hate to give a job by qualifications" the man folded his arms on his chest, peeping at her with the corner of her eyes.
"I get that," Ivory nodded.
The guard soon came in and led her out of the place. As they walked around nothing came to her mind, she knew she would not get the job. She might as well look forward to another one elsewhere. She could not wait to get home and tell her dad that she almost got a job. If she could attain this on her first day, then she would be able to do better in the coming days.
She noticed a figure bent over something. She was going to dismiss it but on second thought she leaned over to look at what had held the person's attention.
"Can I take a look?" She asked, casting a rueful glance in the security guard's direction. He shrugged and stopped walking to wait for her.
Ivory knew she was not supposed to look at what the person was doing but she was curious. Maybe she would have something to tell the manager- at least that seems to be the man's position in the company.
The clothes seemed like the ones she had seen somewhere, but she was not sure, because she might be imagining it. She stopped walking and stared at the man on the floor, trying to get his shoes that were struck.
Ivory gasped. Her Dad was there looking haggard, he must have changed his clothes to something else, because that was not the one he wore when he left the house earlier. He looked at her in surprise.
"Dad?" Ivory could not believe her words.
"What the heck are you doing here? I said to look for a job and you are looking around for me?" Whatever surprise that had been on his face was gone, it was replaced with anger.
"Is this where you work? Dad? And you have not let me know about it?" Tears were starting to roll down her face.
"Yes, and I don't expect you to sympathise with me, all I want is that you get a job. I am quitting this soon, just letting you know I cannot feed you again" he said before removing his shoes and walking off.
Whosoever had made the clothes for him had perhaps deliberately made it that way. How come she had not seen him in the clothes at home?
"That is the compulsory clothes for all security guards here in this company" the guard that had accompanied her said, as if reading her thoughts.
"He should have told me," Ivory muttered to herself stupidly. She knew she could not work there. She has to go look for another job elsewhere.
"I am not interested in working for you," Ivory said when she got back to the manager.
"Good to know that, at least you have not pretended you like the job and convinced yourself to get used to it" he smiled and pointed out the way for her to go out.
Ivory sighed. She would get a job. She really needs to, and she would get it by all means.
