(Naino's POV)

My lifeless eyes, resembling those of a fish, stared at the flying wizard vanishing into thin air.

"Wizard Kaelll, what just happened? Why did you disappear like that? I thought you were a great wizardd."

As I stood frozen on the mountaintop, I couldn't help but feel a wave of panic wash over me. Kaelll had been my only hope, the one person I thought could help me defeat the two warriors.

But now he was gone, leaving me alone to face them. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves and steel myself for what was to come.

Why did you even attack them up front? Aren't you supposed to be a wizard? You're supposed to be attacking them with magical spells from far away, not punching them stupid old man.

As I looked out over the vast expanse of the valley below, I could see the dark clouds gathering on the horizon, a sign of the approaching storm. Welp, it's only on my mind but you can see my point, I'm f*cked. Oh, wait. It's really going to rain.

With a grim determination, I drew the sword given to me by Captain Zhou and went in their direction, determined to face my fate head-on. Whatever happened, I knew that I had to give it my all.

Facing the two people a few meters away from me, my eyes turned cold. Hmph, do you think the two of you can defeat me? The only reason you defeated that wizard old man is that he charged at you two without using any spells like a normal wizard. If not, you two would be on the ground now.

(Third Person's POV)

Looking at the bald man who suddenly laugh and ran, Lin Feng and Zatharios are confused and at a loss for words.

"Lin Feng, Why did our savior just laugh and run?" asked Zatharios, his cold eyes looking defeated.

"I don't know." Lin Feng shook his head. "Must be a crazy person too like that old man." Lin Feng remembered the old man who tried to punch them.

"Quickly, let's follow him to ask if the Divine Chaos Crystal is in his possession." Zatharios urged.

As they hurried after Naino, they noticed the storm clouds growing darker, and the wind picking up. It was as if the very elements were warning them of the danger to come.

As they approached the edge of the mountaintop, they saw Naino trip over a small rock, disappear over the edge, and start rolling down the steep slope.

"That's going to hurt.." Lin Feng looked at Naino, his eyes twitching imagining the excruciating pain the crazy person must feel right now.

Without hesitation, Lin Feng and Zatharios ran after him, trying to keep up with the crazy person's erratic movements.

The slope was treacherous and steep, and they had to be careful not to slip and fall. But Naino seemed to have no fear, laughing all the way down the mountain as he tumbled and stumbled over rocks and boulders.

Finally, they reached the bottom of the mountain and found Naino lying on the ground, his clothes torn and stained with blood. His face was twisted in pain, and he groaned softly as he clutched his side, which was bleeding profusely. His eyes were half-closed, and he seemed barely conscious, his breathing shallow and ragged. As they approached him, they could see that his injuries were severe, and he needed urgent medical attention. Despite that, Naino lying on the ground still chuckled to himself. "What's so funny?" asked Lin Feng, panting heavily.

Naino looked up at them with a wild gleam in his eye. "Everything," he said, still laughing. "The world, the universe, it's all a big joke. And we're just the punchline." After saying that, he lost consciousness.

Lin Feng and Zatharios exchanged worried glances and were at a loss for words. They knew that Naino was not in his right mind, and they had to find a way to snap him out of it if they were to have any hope of finding the Divine Chaos Crystal and stopping any possible disaster.

"This guy. It seems that he is heartbroken." Lin Feng said.

"How do you say so?" Zatharios looked at him incredulously.

"Look at the way he acted earlier. Running while laughing, he can't even see what's in front of him and tripped on a small rock." shaking his head slowly, Lin Feng gazed at Naino with a kind and sympathetic expression.

"That's illogical! It doesn't have anything to do with being heartbroken," said Zatharios as he stared at Lin Feng with his usual cold eyes.

"Sigh, Zatharios my friend. Even though you are a Demon God, your knowledge regarding the mortal world is still lacking." Lin Feng said with a playful smirk as if to mock Zatharios. "You should have learned a thing or two about the world instead of guarding your domain from your scheming subordinates."

His brow furrowed with annoyance, Zatharios said "Stop beating around the bush and spit it out".

"All right, all right. Relax, it's not like we're running out of time. He is here, not running away." Lin Feng laughed. "Anyway, his final phrase is what made me realize it. 'The world, the universe, it's all a big joke. And we're just the punchline.' "

Zatharios raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "What about it?"

"Well, think about it. If someone truly believed that everything was a joke, that means they have lost all hope in the world. They have nothing left to live for, nothing left to fight for. It's a sign of deep despair." Lin Feng explained.

"Despair comes in many forms. Example of it is family loss and betrayal. How are you so sure it is because of love?" asked Zatharios doubtfully.

"Because he is laughing while looking ahead. He is probably imagining the face of the girl he loves and probably can't see anything in his surroundings. That, even though he is in despair, her image still makes him smile." Lin Feng said mournfully then continued.

"Also, if a betrayal or his family member was killed, then his heart will be full of revenge and his eyes will look murderous. Do his eyes look murderous?"

"Hmm, I see." Zatharios agreed in his heart. This person do not have any murderous impulses when he looked at his state using demonic eyes earlier.

Zatharios looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking. "So insignificant but a little sad. Still, I do not care about any of his love affairs, the important thing right now is the Divine Chaos Crystal. Let's search his body if it is in his possession."

"Okay," Lin Feng said with a hint of pity in his voice as he regarded Naino. He, too, understood the futility of mortal problems. It was a curious observation, to be sure, but not one that warranted excessive attention.

Lin Feng carefully searched Naino's body, his hand brushed against something hard and cold. Lin Feng couldn't help but shudder at the thought of the chaos crystal's immense power, and he was grateful that its energy was contained within the immortal jade box. Otherwise, it would have surely attracted countless experts, each vying for the coveted treasure and sparking a brutal battle for its possession.

Putting the Divine Chaos Crystal in his pocket, Lin Feng asked "What should we do now?"

"Returning to the Heavenly Star Continent is currently impossible with our weakened state. Heavenly Beasts on the way will obliterate us in one swipe of their claws. First, we need to find a divine medicine to heal our souls." said Zatharios.

"Finding a divine medicine in the lower continent is not possible." Lin Feng sighed.

"We don't have any choice. We need to find it before our souls disappear and die," said Zatharios.

"All right, let's make a plan tomorrow. But first, let's help this person. He is our savior after all."
