After being sent into the void for so long, he gradually began to awaken. The soul cleared up a few things. He decided that he must be following the Adru for a reason. Maybe he is supposed to protect them.
He decided that until they had more information that he would protect and help them. After knowing more information, then he would decide what to do.
The second thing is that he felt he needed a name, so he could feel like a real person. He decided that he would call himself Pavin.
There wasn't any real meaning behind this name, he just liked it. After these decisions were made, his soul began slowly pushing the black essence out of it. It was slowly gaining its blue light back.
For Pavin, this was a huge shock to him. It was as if there was fog clouding his brain and it only just disappeared. He felt he could think clearer than he ever could before.
This wasn’t just his imagination. After the black essence began to seep out of his soul it took some of his souls' impurities with it.
This strengthened the soul, making it so he could influence more things around him.
This refinement of the soul continued for a few more years. In that time the Adru have somewhat survived. They were still at the bottom of the food-chain. But after the wolves attacked them they began to learn how to sneak about.
This increased the survivability of the Adru. As they could now get food a little bit easier. They still have not learned to fight, as they just hid when they saw creatures. This didn't always work, but it was an overall improvement.
They didn't have any physical developments though. This was mainly because of the lack of meat in their diet. This slowed down the evolution process. The only thing that changed just slightly was their hearing. It developed to be just a little less than human beings.
This was not bad, but taking into consideration the humans safe cities it doesn’t do much in the way of help. They could detect footsteps now, but they still were not fast enough to run away. It was slightly meaningless now but had the potential to be something great.

He spent the next few years in his soul by sleeping. All that was left to do was wait for the impurities to leave him, so he had plenty of time.
It took around 30 years until he was finally able to see light again. The black essence blocked everything out, but now he could see again.
The radiating blue light once again fell upon the forest. The leaves on the trees began shaking as if they couldn't hold in their excitement.
One of the trees, in particular, stood out to him. It was a young sapling who seemed on the edge of death. All its leaves were dark-gray and curled up. But it shook with everything it had in it. Some of the leaves even fell off their branches, falling onto the forest floor.
The tree was located on top of a hill right next to a lake so wide it seemed like the sea. All around it was other trees that have already died out. It was the last tree left.
Pavin lowered his soul down until it was on the same level as it.
The tree, as if looking towards Pavin stopped shaking.
Pavin kept staring at the tree for what seemed like ages until he eventually said with a smile “You will do.”
Pavin began infusing his will into the tree itself, giving it rapid growth. The tree didn't move its leaves at all, completely trusting Pavin.
Pavin kept at this for a few minutes, trying to find out just how much will he could exert.
It stopped at around the twenty-minute mark. Pavin's soul was fading slightly but it was not flickering in and out this time.
Pavin said with a smile “I guess that's as much I can do for now.”
He then glanced up at the tree, which had grown around two times the typical tree height. It was around 11 meters tall and had leaves with a dark blue tint growing on it.
The bark seemed as if it could withstand a cannonball. It also gave off a mysterious aura that kept creatures away from it, ensuring its survival.
The leaves suddenly flashed a brilliant blue tint, before fading away just as fast. The tree let out an odd grown which sounded like an amplified sound of a twig being split in half, before going silent again.
Pavin looked at this with a bit of interest before making an assumption.
“It probably just went into a coma. I wonder when it will come out.” Pavin muttered lightly, then flew back up above the tree lines and continued to watch it's people.
