Jacob examined the large screen that had appeared in front of him.
Name Jacob Joestar Level 3 Race Human (Eta) Association Earth (Epsilon) Achievements
First Blood
Strength 10 Endurance 12 Vitality 6 Dexterity 6 Intelligence 5 Wisdom 7 Luck 15 Stat points 6 Avalux coins 500
There was a lot of information to take in from this screen. To begin with, it looked very similar to the character profiles of a lot of fantasy video games. His "Archive" had his name, level and race recorded as well as the association. If he assumed that the thing called the Avalux ran similar to a video game then his name and level would be pretty self-explanatory. He would need to gain experience points to level up. The real question is how did he get XP? He couldn't find an XP bar or anything of the sort, after all, there wasn't an XP marker that hovered above the snake and gave h- wait. Didn't a blue aura enter him right after he killed the snake? That could be the source of leveling up. He wasn't going to dwell on the idea though and instead moved on to something which worried him and at the same time brought excitement.
He was talking about his race and association. Apparently, his race was also one of the many things that the Avalux graded along with the Earth itself. He wondered what the snake's grade was. He couldn't tell for sure what it was exactly as he didn't understand the grade words but he assumed that it was probably much higher than him. Going on he was associated under Earth, implying that there is more than one planet and race which could exist and has been influenced by the Avalux.
The fact that other races could exist excited him as it was something that Humanity still couldn't achieve but in the same time brought discomfort to him, as the possibility of being taken over by an outer-planetary force that was much stronger than them now existed. He reminded himself that he was thinking too far ahead which shouldn't be his focus right now and cleared his mind from the dawning thought.
Moving on he looked at the achievement he had recently unlocked. He tried to click on the achievement but nothing happened, so he decided to go to the usual option and somehow "think" the screen into existence, something he still couldn't get his head around.
First Blood: Be one among the first 10 million of your race to kill a creature. STR +2 END +1
Based on what this achievement states, at least 10 million people have fought a creature and actually defeated it, once again reiterating the fact that the world had changed. Do civilizations still exist? How many people have died fighting off monsters and possibly even humans? Based on the fact that he was randomly spawned somewhere on earth means that the entire 7 billion humans had also been spawned randomly, immediately thrown into panic. That could mean that there are rapists and murderers on the loose, killing and raping people left and right. He despised murderers who killed innocent people with a deep hatred.
If he could get his hands on one right now hed slit his throat and watch him blee-no. He was letting his emotions take control of him, something that would put him in danger. Besides the world governments will probably restore order and arrest all the criminals in a few days. Hopefully, they'll find him as well. Jacob was about to dismiss the notification when he saw the last characters of the achievement.

The Achievement had actually rewarded him with something. Based on the abbreviations he had gained two Strength stat points and 1 Endurance. He looked near the bottom of the screen to see what his stats were looking like.
Strength 10 Endurance 12 Vitality 6 Dexterity 6 Intelligence 5 Wisdom 7 Luck 15 Stat points 6 Avalux coins 500
Looking at his base stats Jacob couldn't tell whether they were good or not. Prior to the attack, he would have had 8 strength and 11 endurance. After receiving the achievement he now has 10 Strength and 12 Endurance, meaning that the achievement did increase his stats. It was clear to him that achievements are very valuable in terms of the fact that they boost your stats without leveling up. The achievement only appeared after he killed the snake, revealing that to get achievements you needed to work hard for them, no risk no reward.
He went through his other stats, feeling annoyed at the low intelligence sta. If his stats correlated towards his actual body and mind then having his intelligence as the lowest attribute was expected. He wasn't the smartest in class, barely getting a passing grade thanks to his endless restless nights of hard work. After intelligence came a tie between Dexterity and vitality. Dexterity insinuated how well his motor skills functioned and vitality was probably something to do with health, both things he couldn't really control. His third-lowest attribute was wisdom. He wasn't surprised that it was on the lower side of his stats as he was still 18 hasn't fully lived his life out yet. Older people probably had more Wisdom than he did.
The last three that were all 10 or above were Strength, Endurance and Luck. Before the whole planet transformation crisis, Jacob had presumed that he was slightly stronger than other people his age from fighting using MMA. His Brazilian coach had always told him that he packed a punch that hurt quite a lot compared to the other guys he was teaching. Moving on to Endurance it probably meant how much damage he could take, it being the second highest stat training in MMA had once again helped him out. Countless beatdowns from older sparring mates and his caring coach who only wanted what was best for Jacob had toughened his body slightly.
Now onto the most unexpected attribute he had ever seen. Luck. Up until now, Jacob didn't know that luck could be put into numerical values, let alone be his highest attribute. This Avalux thing has many mysteries and surprises that pop up unexpectedly. Rather than complain he could only be grateful that his highest attribute was luck and that it actually existed, as it was probably the reason why he survived the fall of the snake. Speaking of the snake it had been quite a while since the thing had died, sooner or later and it would start attracting animals. He had to wrap up his Archive exploration and assign his 6 stat points. By dividing it with his current level he guessed that every level he would gain two stat points. He quickly assigned 3 to Vitality for surviving for longer periods of time, 2 into strength and 1 into Endurance to make him more durable. He'll look at the changes and what Avalux coins were later and quickly dismissed his Archive.
He had spent too much time looking at his Archive and needed to leave the scene as soon as possible incase there were any predators who heard what happened or could smell the snake's dead body. First he needed to get food, and by food he meant meat from the snake. He had never learnt how to harvest an animal before the Avalux so it might take him sometime to actually get something out of the carcass. He didn't even know if he could remove the hard scales with his rock but he had to try.
Jacob walked over to the dead snake and took a look at the spilling organs. The stench was so strong he had cover his nose with his shirt to prevent him from emptying out his belly. Fortunately for him it seems that the snakes stomach ruptured and was leaking out acid which not only burned the surrounding organs but the scales nearby, revealing a large chunk of dark red meat. He knelt over the exposed meat and began hacking at it with his somewhat sharp rock, unfortunately mushing most of it in the attempt to carve out the meat. In the end he only managed to harvest a few small strips of meat which wouldn't last long but was a start at least.
When he was done Jacob walked over to the still intact leaf bag that he had crafted yesterday, noticing that all the mango juice had already dried out, leaving behind a nice aroma. He placed the small meat strips inside the bag and secured it around his waist, hoping that the sweet aroma of the mango would inhibit the smell of meat in his bag.
After collecting his rock Jacob had to decide what he was going to do next. The main objective of trying to find civilization still stayed yet he had to assume that it would take quite a while to get out of the jungle. He made up his mind and made his new objective to find water and hopefully a safe place where he could stay. He had just recently learned that staying in the trees was a bad idea and that he wouldn't want the same situation to reoccur in the future. For now hell continue walking until he finds water where he'll drink and make use of his newly acquired meat.
