The next morning there was a station wide announcement,
“Everyone who assisted in the defense of the station will be credited 1000 liters of water in appreciation. We apologies for any interruption in services but hope damage will be repaired soon.”
Spaceships that had left to hide returned over the day. Amongst them was a newcomer, another BETA24X7. Shige and Amataya went down to take a look at it. It was painted blue with bright silver detailing. It looked sleek for a odd shaped ship. Its back end had been shot up badly, but the rest seemed fine. While they were admiring it a rocket car turned up with a human and a shubanta on board.
“Nice ship, shame about the damage” said Amataya.
“She sure is, I need to get moving though and there aren't many repair teams around, the one that can free up some time quoted me a fortune. If i don't get off this rock tomorrow I will lose my bonus for this cargo.” He looked stressed.

“How much did they quote?” asked Shige.
“Why, can you fix it?” the man said dubiously.
“How much” asked Shige again looking him straight in the eye.
“20 000 to get it fixed tonight.” he said wincing.
“We can do it for 12 000, but no color matching.” Amataya looked at him sideways.
“We have a ship the same and the gear to cut parts form it to cover the hull holes and a working door we can use to replace yours. We can put off our repairs until things calm down here.” he went on.
“Care to come take a look.”
To their surprise he agreed and parked the rocket car under his ship. When he got out the ship lowered two round saucers that scooped up the car and lifted it into the front end of the spaceship. Amataya and Shige just looked at each other trying to seem cool. They took the captain down to where the newly salvaged ship and the Albatross were parked.
“I'm supposed to be working on that at the moment but can put it off.” he said nonchalantly.
“Well, you won't be flying soon if you chop your ship up” the captain said.
“We won't be flying soon anyway. We are on the hunt for engines” said Amataya.
