After trying a few more times to stabilize the mana he was sending out and trying to edit the properties of mana the ball exploded in Tana's hand. Luckly his own mana can't hurt him unless he managed to edit the properties.

He didn't lose spirit though. Even when the ball exploded he knew that he made some huge progress towards perfection. Atleast the perfection of the basics. He didn't even complete 10% of the basics but he knows that he must be one of the few people that did.

2 weeks have passed since Tana managed to absorb mana and create mana balls.

Right now the mana in the Solar system has fully awakened and the landscape and animals are starting to change. The book mention something about this but Tana didn't pay much atention to that because he was inside a town and there weren't really much wild animals or tame animals in particular in the radius around the town.

The government decided to ban the use of mana until the find out if it is dangerous. They said so but everybody knew they were trying to prioritize themselves and the army. They wanted to be the first to adapt to mana completely and still be the highest ranked ones in the world.

The people of course had to listen because they couldn't go against the law or the government! But Tana didn't care about that because he has already mastered around 50% of the basics!

He can now make a mana ball with the radius of 1 cubic meter! He still has difficulites changing the properties of mana but he managed to give his mana ball a spinning effect. He also learned how to launch the ball, he can throw the ball 10 meters away from him.

Of course, he didn't test those things inside his apartment. He went into the woods outside the town and tried shooting the mana ball at a nearby tree. He didn't expect much but what happened really shocked him.

The tree trunk wasn't really thick but you would still need three people to hug around it. The mana ball blasted into the tree and ripped through half of the trunk. Tana immediately moved away because he feared that the tree could fall down. It didn't but the tree wasn't really stable anymore so he decided to go home after that.

Right now Tana is doing some research on the web about the changing world. The governments in other countries are mostly doing the same thing as the one in his country. It was expected though. There are some people saying that they saw a 4 meter long lizard in a city in South Korea. Tana was interested in those kinds of things but it turns out that it was just someone trolling the forums.

Tana was a bit let down after he found out that though...Because he wanted to see how did the animals and other things change. He saw some photos of wolves bigger than their normal size and cats as big as tigers but nothing about other animals.

He then went and researched about mana. He wanted to know all about the world right now. He found out about some people who almost mastered the basics. He did some looking and found all their data and what they posted.

Some of the things are : 1. Mana can be used to heal small wounds. Like knife cuts and similar.

2. The mana that you absorbed is unique to you. Other people can't absorb it without refining it outside their body first.

3. Refining mana is almost impossible.

Those are the most important things he needed to know. He already knew about the unique thing because it is written in the tutorial book. It seems that these people didn't read the book completely and still managed to almost finish the basics. They are the true geniuses.

Tana turned off his computer and sat in a meditation position and started absorbing mana in his surrounding. Ever since the mana awakened completely his body could absorb mana more freely and the mana in the atmosphere was stable.

He didn't know much about the world outside besides the things he saw on the internet. But he guessed most stuff would be the same as the novels he read when he started highschool.

He didn't go to school at all ever since the phenomenon happened because there weren't any classes since then. The government said they will try to fix most problems in one to two months time. Tana hoped it would last longer so he can master the basics and make his own magic and skills.

There's one thing Tana did that no one else didn't do. In his version of the tutorial book it is said that people can infuse mana into their bodies and organs so they can become stronger and gain special abilities. It is said if you infuse enough mana into your eyes and brain you would get night vision and photographic memory. Tana did just that! Ever since he managed to form a basic mana ball he has started infusing mana in his body and testing things.

If you infuse mana in the heart your bloodflow and blood will become more stable and you will less like die from heart failure,regenaration also became a bit faster.

If you infuse mana in your nerves your senses will become better and you will sense even the slightest changes in the air.

That's all he managed to test for now. He is currently the only human in this solar system that has these abilities.

"What time is it?" Tana finished meditation and looked at the digital clock beside his bed. It was sunday today, the time is 4:14 PM. 

"I was meditating for 2 hours? That's pretty long for a beginner like me." He said and checked his body. He noticed  a few changes on his body but the most noticable one was that his body can hold now double the capacity of mana he could hold before. That explains why he was meditating longer than before. 

"What now? Let's see...I need to get groceries,shampoo and some other stuff. I can use the bicycle to get to the market." Tana said and he went to the garage of the apartment building he was staying. The people renting the apartments can use this garage as they want as long as they don't do something illegal.

Tana rid his bike to the market to buy some fruit,meat and vegetables and then went to a shop to buy the other necessities. He noticed a few men in army clothing buying some stuff like they were preparing for something. Tana decided on a foolish action and followed them. Even though his mental abilities became better he was still curious about some stuff.

After 2 hours of riding his bike and following them silently without being discovered he found out they were going to a hidden camp in the woods outside the town. Tana deducted that they must be here to find an evolved/mutated animal and get it back to the labs for research!

With this,Tana decided to follow them and see how they will kill or capture the animal and see the strenght of the evolved/mutated animals!

So...here's the second chapter of my new story. I finally got some inspiration and decided that I won't half ass this story because I like the concept of these kinds of stories.

So anyways...it's late at night I am really tired and I am going to sleep now.

Third chapter is tomorrow...
