The Qilin and The Staff

The sun shone brightly as Ling Xuan stepped aboard the ship that would carry him to Lhayi Dewa. The vessel was modest but sturdy, its wooden hull and billowing sails indicative of a long history of reliable service across the archipelago. The ship's crew bustled about, preparing for departure, their voices a blend of nautical jargon and casual conversation.

Ling Xuan took a deep breath of the salty sea air, feeling a sense of anticipation mingled with calm. The journey to Lhayi Dewa was not long; the distance between the archipelago and the island was relatively short, and he would reach his destination within a matter of hours. Despite the brevity of the voyage, the ship's accommodations were notably minimalist. The cabins were small, barely large enough for a single person to stand and move around comfortably. Simple wooden bunks lined the walls, and the furnishings were sparse—a small table, a couple of stools, and a few shelves for storing personal belongings.

As Ling Xuan settled into the small, creaky chair of his minimalist cabin, he closed his eyes for a moment, centering his thoughts. With a deep breath, he mentally summoned the command he had been preparing for: “Urizen, activate it.”

In the silence of his mind, a series of responses echoed softly. “Commencing Perception Warp. Activating Informational Program.”

Soon, Ling Xuan felt everything become slippery. As he closed his eyes, he focused his thoughts, feeling the world around him shift and warp. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself on the deck of the ship, staring toward land. The shoreline ahead was not the familiar coast of Kinnara’i Gyi Sangsum; this was his destination.

“The land where God stepped foot, Lhayi Dewa,” Ling Xuan murmured. He stepped off the ship, his feet meeting the solid ground of Lhayi Dewa for the first time.

—--------------------------------------------------------------

As Ling Xuan entered the island of Lhayi Dewa, on the mainland—more specifically, in one of the several Castles of Xia—two figures occupied a grand training hall

One figure stood tall and composed, his aura radiating power and confidence. The other figure knelt on the ground, his breath laboured, beads of sweat trickling down his face. The kneeling warrior's exhaustion was palpable, his body trembling with the effort it took to remain upright.

“It seems that your strength has undergone more than triple the increase after the assimilation of Dragon Blood,” the standing figure noted, his voice calm and analytical.

“Yeah, but it's still not enough to defeat you,” the kneeling warrior sighed, frustration and respect mingling in his tone.

The standing warrior, Ling Feng, regarded his opponent with a mixture of pride and scrutiny. His dark hair was tied back, and his eyes glowed with the intensity of a seasoned fighter.

“The Ling Clan is already a distant relative of Xia, so it makes sense for me to be able to tolerate greater amounts of Dragon Blood,” Ling Feng continued. “And you were given the normal Dragon Blood and improved to this terrifying level, whereas I was given the Dragon Heart Blood, and you were still able to match me.”

Lei Tei heard Ling Feng’s words, and a determined silence settled over him as Qi began to agglomerate around him. The energy crackled in the air, creating an electric tension that filled the hall.

“You want to fight again?” Ling Feng raised his eyebrows, a hint of concern in his voice. “You are in no condition to battle me,” he warned, but Lei Tei merely shook his head, his resolve unwavering.

Lightning began crackling around Lei Tei, the energy coursing through him with increasing intensity. “Ever since I was given access to the Martial Techniques of The Dragon Generals, I was stuck. No technique truly fitted me, you see,” Lei Tei revealed, his voice rising above the thunderous energy now surrounding him. The lightning began to take the faint form of a mythical creature, its silhouette flickering into existence.

“Thus, after reading all the techniques and testing some of them, I decided to create a technique myself!” Lei Tei roared, jumping back as the energy around him reached a crescendo.

GRAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

A deafening roar echoed through the hall as the Qilin materialized in front of Lei Tei, its majestic form crackling with raw power. The creature’s eyes glowed with a fierce intensity, its presence commanding and awe-inspiring. The Qilin's body was a blend of scales and fur, each scale glinting like sapphire in the flickering light. Its mane flowed like liquid silver, and its hooves, though ethereal, stamped down with a force that caused sparks to fly. Antlers adorned its head, twisting elegantly like branches of an ancient tree, and a tail resembling a fiery comet swished behind it.

“You think you’ll win with the Qilin?” Ling Feng asked, a smile playing on his lips. Despite the spectacle, he remained confident.

“No, it’ll lose. I know that, but I don’t want to fight you using the Qilin!” Lei Tei grinned, raising his hand high above his head.

CRACKLE... BOOM...

The sound of lightning intensified, echoing like the wrath of the heavens. “O Qilin of Great Myths! Transform into The Greatest of Myths! Mighty Dragon of Innumerable Lightning!” Lei Tei shouted, his voice resonating with the power he was unleashing. His arm began to spill blood, the crimson liquid merging with the Qilin’s form, infusing it with his life force.

SIZZLE... SNAP...

The Qilin began to morph, twisting and turning as it underwent a dramatic transformation. The blue hue of its body shifted to a brilliant, blinding white, the very air around it shimmering with the energy of its metamorphosis.

KRAAAAAAAAAAAAOMMMMMMMMM!

The creature’s hooves dissolved into mist, and from its back sprouted four enormous wings. The Qilin’s features elongated and sharpened, its form becoming more serpentine and powerful. It was no longer a Qilin; it had transformed into a mighty dragon. Its scales were now like polished diamonds, reflecting and refracting light in a dazzling display. The dragon's eyes burned with an inner fire, and its mouth, lined with rows of razor-sharp teeth, crackled with arcs of electricity. Each of its wings spanned wide, their tips trailing sparks, and its tail whipped around, sending jolts of lightning into the ground.

Mythical Beast - Dragon of Innumerable Lightning!

“Now that is something else, mate,” Ling Feng murmured, his eyes widening with each passing moment as he processed the scene before him. The sheer magnitude of the transformation left him momentarily speechless.

Yet Ling Feng quickly composed himself and grinned. “Very well, let me show you my ultimate move as well!”

Qi began to twist and turn around his staff, creating a vortex of energy that caused the ground to crack and rumble. The very air seemed to vibrate with the power he was summoning.

“O Blood of Dragons! Heed my call and release the Blood!” Ling Feng chanted, his voice resonating with an otherworldly power. As he spoke, the space around him began to distort, and time itself seemed to slow down, each second stretching into an eternity.

Ling Feng’s entire form began to change. His skin darkened and toughened into scales, his eyes glowed with an intense, fiery light, and his limbs elongated and thickened, becoming more sinewy and powerful. His fingers morphed into claws, and horns sprouted from his head, curling back like those of a great beast. His teeth sharpened into fangs, and a tail burst forth from his back, lashing the air with incredible force.

“This, Lei Tei, is the power that those who wield The Dragon Heart Blood possess,” Ling Feng spoke, his voice now deep and guttural, resonating with the raw, primal power of a dragon.

Essence Transfiguration - Draconian Hybrid!

The transformation was complete. Ling Feng stood there, a towering figure of inhuman and beastly power. His aura was overwhelming, a combination of pure dragon might and the concentrated energy of the Dragon Heart Blood. The ground beneath him continued to crack and fissure, unable to withstand the sheer force emanating from his transformed body.

His draconian hybrid form was a sight to behold. The scales covering his body shimmered like molten metal, each one intricately patterned and exuding a faint glow. His horns were obsidian black, sharp and menacing, curving gracefully yet powerfully. His eyes burned with a molten gold intensity, and his breath came out in huffs of smoke and embers. The claws on his hands and feet were like razors, capable of rending stone and metal alike. His tail, thick and muscular, ended in a spiked club that thudded heavily against the ground.

“Let’s do this,” Lei Tei muttered as the Dragon of Innumerable Lightning roared, its voice echoing through the hall with a deafening thunderclap.

“Alright,” Ling Feng smirked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

BOOM!

The ground shook as their energies collided, sending shockwaves through the air. Lightning crackled and flames roared, the sheer force of their clash causing the walls of the castle to tremble.

Meanwhile, as the epic sparring unfolded, Xia Fugui stood on a distant balcony, his gaze fixed on the horizon. His eyes glowed with a subtle, otherworldly light, a testament to his extraordinary perception.

“Dragon Transmogrification,” Xia Fugui murmured, his voice barely audible above the distant thunder of the battle. He could see the ongoing clash with incredible clarity, despite the vast distance. The intricate details of Ling Feng’s Draconian Hybrid form and the mighty Dragon of Innumerable Lightning were laid bare before him, their auras shimmering like beacons in the twilight.

“Everything got more interesting hasn’t it son?” Xia Fugui grinned and asked.

“Indeed father,.” Beside Xia Fugui, Xia Weiyu replied as he smiled as well.

“Brother’s forces are in for something.” Xia Weiyu added as he quite drank some tea.
