As the blazing sun spreads it's heat throughout the never ending wasteland, it became morning no less. And thus i've survives another day.

The smell of freshly cooked food from dinner table caught my attention. The meat from the market gave it's best quality for breakfast.

"Oh....your awake, have a seat" mother said while preparing her food with father beside me reading the documents from the confession of the martians they caught the other day.

My father is the commanding officer of Warship Delta. He the high ranking officers on making strategy to incade the martian's Peninsula which granted him the status of commanding officer.

"How is your training" father asked me

"It's fine"

"I Heard you were called the child prodigy, And even defeated John"

I became silent for a moment. Hesitating wheather to accept the compliment or to deny it.

"I'm proud of you, keep it up" he said in a soft tone. The word 'proud' didn't really make me happy about myself.

"My, my, who knew my son would be such a great fighter" mom said while setting the food in the table. "Now then, let's eat"

The streets were filled like yesterday. Although, there are different shops that appear today. Are the new?

"Cade" a shout of what sounded like a young girl's voice used my name. I turned my head and Saw Amy in the distance, waving her hand.

'was she waiting for me?'

She came running towards me with a face so cheerful, it was almost blinding.

"Cade, i Heard you beat Uncle John yesterday. Is that true?"

"Yea"

Her eyes sparkeled as i said it. She grabbed my shoulders and we locked eyes as she said "you know what this means right?" She said excitingly.

"Um....that i'm stronger than Uncle?" I answered hesitantly.

"No you moron, it means that you'll scouted to join the army!" She shouted with anticipation.

She sulked behind as i doubt her words. But she is exagerating. Most soldiers cound finish off martians in a flash. Me in the other hand, barely won against uncle.

Since it's our day off, me and Amy decided that we want to go to the Rocky mountain that was just around the corner.

The top of the mountain was amazing. You could see the the Giant wall that spread around the city, covering the buildings. The people looked like little ants.

Amy walked at the side of the cliff, looking at the setting sun. "Do you remember? This is where we first met. When we were just little kids, you used to be so excited when i was allowed to play with you" she asked.

"Yea....those were the good Times"

"....when were playing here one day, we made a code. Do you remember what that is?"

"Ofcourse, how could i forget. It went some thing like 'when the winds of Aridorn spreads the sand, we are Aridornians. When the sand follows the wind, we are friends. And when they both touch our feet-

"And when they both touch our feet.." she looked at me while smiling. "we are more, and may death do us apart'. Until now, i still remember the moment we Made that code, you were so happy that you wouldn't stop saying it for an hour. You even told it to your parents. So that's why, i decided to join the army"

"excuse me?"

"Surprise!" She shouted in excitement.

"Ha......you, join the army?"

"Yep"

".you don't even know any martial arts"

"True, but i do have my blood line's skill which can be pretty usefull"

Blood line skill, a skill that only those with a special blood line can use and can't be used by anyone else. Each bloodline has it's own blood line skill. It tends to appear every hundred generations, which Made it so rare.

In Amy's case, is the "perfect eye". It allows it's user to determine the range of the target and also help the user observe the enemy better. It even protects the user's eyes from materials that may damage the eye which allows her to also see in the dark, or to see through Walls. It's a skill that every soldier who specializes in long range attacks would die for.

"You know it's dangerous, right?"

"So? What's the difference between you joining the army and leaving me behind"

".....sigh you got a point"

As i finished talking, she stood up straight, clenched her fist and pointed it towards me. "So let's do our best, for us, for Aridorn"

A smile unconciously appeared in my face. I clenched my first, lift it up, and touches her's, resulting in a first bump. "I guess i can't stop you"

The eventually hid itself on the sand filled mountains, which allowed the nights appear again.

"Mom, i'm home"

"Welcome back" mother said in a soft tone while preparing dinner. "Come, dinner's ready"

"Is father going to have dinner with us?"

"He says he's almost done. He should be arriving soon". Father always cared for us and always spares time for us. One time, he didn't come to work because i was having a minor fever. That's the reason i idolize him.

"I'm home" a voice was Heard followed by a sound of the door opening. Father arrived right on time.

The dinner table was complete. We prayed for our food and protection, and for the war to end so that we maybleave in peace on this beloved planet.

"Shall we?" Father asked. Me and mother nodded and we started to Feast on our food.

I was naive back then..

It only i knew what would happen next, i would have been able to stop it....
