Jacob had many different herbs in front of him, most of which were very weak. A few of them, like the infamous Mermaid Song, were potent but hard to handle.
I need something with enough energy to convert it into Qi and push my Cultivation to the 2nd level of the Cockroach realm. It will most likely hurt me, but I already have enough wounds and internal injuries that I might as well ignore them. Once my Qi cultivation is stronger, I’ll be able to heal faster and use more Techniques, if not even spells.
He did not have a proper Pill Cauldron, but he had pots.
On second thought, he went to the house’s attic to get some old pot. His aunt would murder him if he ruined some of her current set of cooking pots and utensils.
Rinsing them quickly under the sink, he put five centimeters of water in the deepest pot, the one usually used to cook pasta.
“I can now make Rigatoni and Pills all at once. Look at me, I’ve just reached the peak of my country’s culture…”
He chuckled for a second, glad no one was around to hear his bad jokes.
He started plucking some leaves from some of the herbs. But, unfortunately, those herbs were so weak and useless that he barely remembered their names.
Dawn Dew Spirit, Sunny Crunchy Leaves, Melania’s Gift.
They were genuinely useless. In his past life, they had primarily been used as snacks by cultivators or for the very first stages of cultivation. However, larger Clans and Sects would operate much better herbs for their youngest.
Jacob had been quite lucky to find a Three-Colored Stalk. It was a waste to use it in the Cockroach realm without refining it into a pill, but it had been his best option to heal as fast as possible. After the meeting with the Hellspawn Chameleon, though, he had exhausted most of the medicine that had been inside his flesh and bones.
He started mixing the herbs on a low flame. His concoction would be full of impurities and imperfections. Any other person on Earth drinking it would probably be poisoned and sh*t blood for two days straight.
However, even riddled with Crohn’s Disease, Jacob could absorb such concoctions without a problem thanks to his superior Cultivation Technique. Furthermore, his Time Domination Cultivation Technique was able to refine all impurities without a problem.
In a sense, Jacob was basically immune to any poison in existence. However, on a more concrete level, it was not that easy. His Cultivation Technique had a set speed based on his understanding and current level. Therefore, if he were to be poisoned with something strong enough, he would not be able to refine the poison away before being killed by it.

He had been highly tempted just to eat the Mermaid Song because he would be able to absorb all the energy in it. However, at his current level, he would not be exempt from the hallucinatory effects. He wasn’t even sure how long they would last for him.
He added a sprinkle of salt.
It should taste decent now, I think.
He started grinding a root with a grater while keeping an eye on the pot and stirring it whenever needed. A faint medicinal fragrance filled the kitchen.
This recipe is jacksh*t, but it should be able to carry me over the 2nd level of the Cockroach realm. The Qi will definitely wreak havoc in my Meridians, but I don’t see many other solutions. At the 2nd level, not even Juliet will be able to touch me. If I had a fuc**ng weapon too, I could have taken down the Hellspawn Chameleon.
If his knowledge was still valid about mysterious ruins, there should be one not too far from St. Peter. Inside of that one, he would find a somewhat decent sword or halberd.
I think, at least. Frederick got the sword in my past life, and I don’t remember whom the halberd went to. I think it wasn’t someone from St. Peter.
The concoction started boiling over, and Jacob took it away from the flame, mixing the finely grounded root and making a soup.
A fuc**ng medicinal soup. Jesus Christ, Jacob, you really are desperate, huh?
He couldn’t wait for the soup to cool down, sadly. His 1st level in Qi cultivation would have to be enough to shield his body from harm. If the soup cooled down, its medicinal effect would most likely disappear in a heartbeat.
He brought the scalding hot metal to his lips and started drinking with his eyes closed.
FU*K, IT HURTS. JESUS, IT HURTS LIKE A MOTHERFU**ER.
The soup went rapidly down his gullet together with a series of mental swearing and blasphemy to accompany it.
“AHHHH!” Jacob exhaled and sat down on the floor. He had instructed Joseph not to disturb him.
He could already feel the rogue energy trying to escape his body.
Come on, little bi**h, show me.
He started channeling the Time Domination Cultivation Technique at its maximum strength. He could feel the strain on his Meridians while he forced a massive amount of wild energy through it and forced it to circulate through them repeatedly.
The energy slowly calmed down while he was circulating it. And even though the pain was excruciating, Jacob gritted his teeth, swore a lot, and got through it.
With every revolution of the energy inside his Meridians, impurities were washed out and carried through his pores. They weren’t enough to cause that hilarious scene where one was covered with grime, but they were sufficient to make a stink in the kitchen.
He felt the peak of the 1st level approaching and barged right through it like a truck.
Crack
A couple of Meridians started rupturing, but thankfully enough, the wild energy still had some medicinal properties and patched the more severe wounds right away. Unfortunately, he still felt like he had been taken under by a car and his body was worse for wear than before. However, he could now feel his Qi had grown stronger.
He cracked his neck with a sharp sound and smiled while getting up.
It’s time I take a look around the village on my own.
Jacob would now look for more herbs on his own. He was strong enough not just to defend himself but to beat up that little shit of Frederick if he ever snuck up on him again.
I’ll teach Joseph something really quick and go.
He smiled.
He was ready to stir some sh*t up.
