Kata's dreams came to a end as she was awakened, her senses unfamiliar with the sights, scents, and sounds around her. She felt several presences nearby sitting up to face them as she tried looking for one, she recognized knowing the chances were not in her favor. Only Alurius, Silvius, Alura, and Keira awaiting her.
"Hello again." Said Alurius with a smile.
Kata's long batlike ears twitched as the Elven words entered her mind, it had been centuries since she had heard their tongue much less spoke it. She thought for a moment trying to remember all that happened sensing the Elves apprehension at her presence as she searched in memories fragmented through time. Alurius face the only one familiar to her.
"Where am I?" Asked Kata in Elven Tongue.
"Our Capital." Said Alurius
"How?"
"One of your kind brought you here via a portal just a few days ago, your body was failing you."
"You helped me."
"We have tried, I am Queen Alurius, this is my sister Silvius, and two of my personal guard Alura, and Keira."
"I am Kata."
"It has been centuries since we have seen any of your kind here...why?"
"Many of my kind have slept for centuries so that one day we might overcome our undying thirst and many have perished for this reason or another.
A silence came over the room for a few moments as the Elves thought on Kata's words. Alurius knew her guest was dangerous but she still sought to help, she looked to her sister for guidance. Silvius's knew the look all too well but was was still thinking herself. Keira and Alura shifting their weight as they kept a watchful eye on Kata for no other reason beyond it was the task assigned to them.
"Can we help?" Said Alurius.
"No, I will leave as soon as I'm able and return to my slumber." said Kata.
"How many of there are you?" Asked Silvius
"Not enough." Said Kata.
"And the one that brought you?" Asked Alura
"I don't know." Said Kata
"Well, you are a guest here not a prisoner so you are free to come and go as you wish as long as you are accompanied. I fear nothing we give you will dull your true thirst but we will help you regain your strength. There is food and wine here for you and we will replenish it."

Kata slowly swept her legs off the Elven bed rising from it as she tried to gain her footing in spite of her lethargic state. She came to a stand her figure towering over the Elves at around 8ft tall, she outstretched her wings, and exhaled an audible breath. The Elves standing their ground not expecting any more trouble from Kata at least not yet as they noticed the sun was beginning to set.
"Leave me." Said Kata.
"Of course, enjoy your meal." Said Alurius.
Alurius was the first to turn and leave, followed by her sister Silvius, and finally Alura and Keira. All left the room rather quietly; no words being shared at first as the doors to the room were closed behind them by two additional elven guards. Alurius strolled down the halls of her home rather casually with her companions until she reached a spot she felt was suitable for their conversation.
"Alura, Keira, you have done much for me in your time here and you have earned a rest. I want you two to take a couple days for yourselves and return here to your duties once you are feeling refreshed."
"Are you sure?" Asked Keira
"I'm certain." Said Alurius
"Won't you need us?" Asked Alura
"Of course, but Silvius will keep me safe until you return."
The Lieutenants still not convinced shifted their gazes over to Silvius for confirmation.
"Alurius is right you two have more than earned a rest." Said Silvius
Alurius hand swirled with arcane energies opening a small portal beside her, she reached inside retrieving a small coin purse, and tossed it towards the Lieutenants the portal closing soon after.
"You two have fun, I'll inform the others." Said Alurius with a smile.
"Thank you" Replied Keira and Alura.
"See you soon." Said Alura
The Lieutenants turned to one another with a smile, turning to head back towards their rooms eager to start their rest. Silvius and Alurius watched the two stroll down the hallway and out of sight before saying anything more. Alurius then shifted her attention to her sister knowing there was much more to discuss.
"What do you think?" Asked Alurius
"It would be wise to keep your guest close." Said Silvius
"We can't stop her from leaving."
"No but it is better if she leaves here as our friend rather than our enemy."
"I agree but it's time to wake the Dragons..."
Keira came to a stop just outside her room with Alura standing beside her. As she opened her room door her hand reached for Alura's giving her a tug towards her. She drew closer, the two sharing a lingering embrace as Keira whispered into Alura's ear.
"Spend the night again?" Asked Keira
"Not tonight, I need to get some rest." Said Alura
"Awww...I'll let you rest I promise."
"Hah...we know that won't happen. I'll meet you outside at the house steps tomorrow. Goodnight Keira."
Alura pressed her soft lips against Keira's, the kiss between them lingering just like their embrace. Keira slowly adding a few more for good measure followed by Alura doing the same. The two breaking off the kiss not one of them truly wanting to leave the company of the other but doing so as they went their separate ways for the night.
"Goodnight Alura." Said Keira.
Standing before the dinner that had been prepared for her Kata sniffed the air, letting her nose decide for her which of the various Elven dishes before her she would feast on for evening. The venison catching her nose first then the guards outside the room although she knew they were not part of the menu. She grabbed a plateful, some wine, and went to sit at a nearby table the chair accommodating enough.
The sun had set, the moon replaced it upon the horizonal as it's light gave the room a subtle glow. Kata began devouring her meal in relative darkness, her razor-sharp fangs tearing at the perfectly prepared cuts of venison tearing it apart piece by piece. She paired it with the wine, the taste of it all declivous as she finished her meal and was strengthen further.
