Chapter 3

Tuck away in one of the many guests’ rooms of the house laid two elven lieutenants Alura and Keira. Alura's skin was light purple, her eyes amber with a faint glow, and her hair a light blue that came down just past her shoulders. Keira's style was a lot like Alura's, her skin light purple, her eyes amber with a faint glow, and her hair a darker blue coming to just past her shoulders. The two were sharing a loving moment together underneath the covers.

The two elves were intertwined, their bodies snuggled up against one another while they exchanged kisses, paying no mind to the world outside of their own. There was a knock at the door, Keira raising her messy head from the covers as Alura remained underneath. A quick look was exchanged between them, only now realizing a new day had come.

"Yes?" Keira called.

"I have breakfast, may I bring it in?"

"Yes." Said Keira.

Keira's eyes quickly scanned her room, making sure she saw nothing that made Alura's presence obvious.

The double doors of the room opened, a elven servant entering the room with a assortment of food spread on a single plate. The woman upon seeing Keira still in bed delivered her plate to her with a smile. Alura remained motionless underneath the covers, snuggled up so closely to Keira the servant seemed none the wiser.

"Thank you." Keira Said.

"Of course, were trying something new this morning I hope you like it." Said the Servant as she left closing the doors behind her.

Alura peaked her head out from underneath the covers, she waited a moment more for extra caution and once satisfied climbed over Keira so she could sit beside her.

"I guess that's our que." Said Alura.

Keira plucked a handful of grapes from her plate, plopping one in her mouth before handing the rest over to Alura. Alura smiled at the gesture, Keira quickly following it up with a quick kiss to Alura's cheek.

"I love you." Said Keira.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Alura took the grapes and got out of bed to leave.

"I love you too." Said Alura.

The two lieutenants then went their separate ways, at least for a time. Each outfitting themselves in weapons and armor in order to prepare for their duties. Their uniform several pieces of plate armor, a longbow, a quiver of arrows, and an additional dagger for close encounters.

Just a little while later the two would reconvince running into Alurius in the hallway. Alurius had changed from her bed clothes into a more fitting dress for the day. The sleeveless dress was a dark purple, with a exposed midriff. The shimmering runic tattoos that accented her stomach and arms now visible. Alurius smiled as she saw Alura and Keira approaching.

"Hello darlings, I hope you slept well."" Said Alurius.

"We did." Replied the Lieutentants.

"How did you sleep?" Asked Keira.

"Rather well until receiving a unexpected guest." Said Alurius

"What do you mean?" Asked Alura

"Well, it would be easier for me to show you so come along." Said Alurius.

Alura and Keira exchanged a puzzled look with one another as Alurius brought them into the room that held her mysterious guest. A whole feast had been laid out in the room, her arcane being still guarding the shielded unconscious creature. Alurius moved closer, Alura and Keira following behind her.

"I haven't yet been able to identify it, any ideas?" Said Alurius

"We have never run into such a creature that I'm sure of." Said Alura.

"Agreed." Said Keira.

"Is she sick?" Asked Alura.

"Severely Malnourished." Said Alurius.

"She came on her on?" Asked Keira.

"No, there was another of her kind that brought her."

"Strange." Said Alura.

"Yes, I would say. Hand me the arcwine." Said Alurius.

Keira grabbed a bottle of unopened arcwine from a nearby table, handing it to Alurius.

"Thank you dear." Said Alurius.

With a wave of her hand Alurius made the shield around her guest disappear. She took a seat by it's bedside placing a hand on its forehead holding the arcwine in the other. It felt cold like the creature had taken on some sort of fever the only response a unintelligible murmur. Alurius uncorked the arcwine bottle, bracing herself with a gentle hand as she poured a small amount of the mana infused wine onto the creature's lips. The response was positive so Alurius poured a bit more.

As the mana infused wine slowly made its way into Kata's system she was awakened once more, her body twitched, her eyes opened, and in a startled move she grabbed Alurius's hand. Alurius at first did not move merely offering a smile but in Kata's fear her instincts took over. She beginning drawing from Alurius power, arcane energies being siphon from Alurius to her, Alurius trying to break her grasp but was unable locked in a transfer of power.

"Alurius!" Shouted Alura and Keira once they realized what was happening.

Alurius's arcane being reached to help its master but was absorbed in sudden flash of energy. Alurius feeling herself slowly losing her coconsciousness as Alura and Keira rushed to help her; the both of them casting a spell of sleep as Kata thirst was never ending and Alurius lost coconsciousness.
