There is a tale that almost all knight apprentices are told, and that is the tale of Sir Galahad and his fight against the Sorcerer and the orc army, and the tale goes as follows:
***
The kingdom was prosperous and peaceful, and the people lived happy and content lives. The king had many loyal subjects, but none were as loyal and devoted as Sir Galahad, a brave and honorable knight who had served the king for many years.
Sir Galahad had earned a reputation throughout the kingdom as a fearless and skilled warrior. He had been on many quests and adventures, and had always returned victorious. His bravery and courage were legendary, and the people of the kingdom looked up to him as a true hero.
But Sir Galahad had never faced a challenge as great as the one that lay ahead. One day, the king received news that an army of orcs was marching toward the kingdom, led by a powerful sorcerer. The sorcerer was said to be one of the most dangerous and powerful magic users in the land, and he had been hired by the orcs to help them defeat the kingdom.
The king knew that he had to act quickly to defend his people and his kingdom. He called upon his bravest and most skilled knights to defend the kingdom against the orc invasion. Sir Galahad was one of the knights chosen for this dangerous mission.
As he prepared for battle, Sir Galahad could feel the weight of the responsibility that lay upon his shoulders. He knew that the fate of the kingdom rested upon his and his fellow knights' shoulders. He gathered his armor, weapons, and horse, and set off to meet the orc army on the battlefield.
As he rode toward the battlefield, Sir Galahad could see the smoke rising from the villages that the orcs had burned. He knew that he had to act quickly to defend his people and his kingdom. He urged his horse forward, his mind focused on the task at hand.
As he approached the battlefield, Sir Galahad could hear the battle cries of the orcs. He drew his sword and charged forward into battle. The orc army was massive, and Sir Galahad knew that he would need all of his skill and courage to defeat them.
The battle was fierce, and the fighting was intense. Sir Galahad fought with all of his might, cutting down orc after orc with his sword. His skill with the sword was unmatched, and the orcs quickly learned to fear him. But as the battle raged on, Sir Galahad realized that the orcs were not his only enemy. The powerful sorcerer who led the orc army was casting spells that were weakening the knights and making them vulnerable.
Sir Galahad knew that he had to defeat the sorcerer if he wanted to win the battle. He rode his horse toward the sorcerer, dodging spells and arrows as he went. When he reached the sorcerer, he dismounted his horse and drew his sword. The sorcerer laughed and cast a spell, but Sir Galahad was ready. He used his shield to deflect the spell and charged forward.
The fight between Sir Galahad and the sorcerer was intense. The sorcerer was a powerful opponent, and he cast spell after spell, trying to defeat Sir Galahad. But Sir Galahad was determined, and he fought with all of his might. He dodged spells, blocked attacks, and slashed at the sorcerer with his sword. Finally, after a long and grueling battle, Sir Galahad delivered the final blow to the sorcerer. The sorcerer fell to the ground, defeated.

Sir Galahad was hailed as a hero throughout the land, and he was celebrated by the people for his bravery and valor.
But for Sir Galahad, the victory was bittersweet. He had lost many friends and comrades in the battle, and he knew that the scars of the war would linger for many years to come. He knew that he had done his duty as a knight, but he could not help but feel a sense of sadness and loss.
As he rode back to the kingdom, Sir Galahad reflected on the events of the battle. And through it all, Sir Galahad remained a constant presence, a shining example of the courage and dedication that had made the kingdom great.
Years passed, and Sir Galahad grew old. He retired from the life of a knight, and he settled down in a small village near the kingdom. But even in his old age, he remained a hero in the eyes of the people. They would come from all over the kingdom to visit him, to hear his stories, and to thank him for his service.
And when Sir Galahad finally passed away, the kingdom mourned his loss. They had lost a hero, a champion, and a friend. But they knew that his legacy would live on, in the stories that were told about him, and in the hearts of the people who had been inspired by his courage and dedication.
In the end, Sir Galahad's victory over the orc army was more than just a battle. It was a testament to the power of courage, loyalty, and honor, and to the strength of the bonds that united the people of the kingdom. And it was a reminder that, no matter how dark the times might seem, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.

This story is actually from the ruling of king Rettwer Uzumar the second, a ruler known to be a tyrant with his court and a saint to the people. there are numerous registers of this era as it led to one of the worst battles of succession of the kingdom after Rettwer the second was killed by his court of nobles stabbed repeatedly with stilleto daggers despite Sir Galahans attempts to save him. an odd choice to tell to the knight apprentices if you ask me ill concede that finding stories of knights that could deflect magic directed at them isnt an easy task.
