"Maggosite... combination of... worms and parasites? Real nasty f*ckers that could mind control you (even in death) avoid at all costs!!!"
"Blobs, gelatin like things. Looks to be immune towards any attacks (maybe), avoid at all costs!!!
"Rats, Normal rats but more ferocious and has a really long teeth and sharp claws, usually the victims. Be wary aaaaand done!"
I swept away a stray hair from my face and closed my diary, which is now my record of any weird creatures I found
My stomach grumbled, a reminder that I'm starting to get hungry again
I've already finished the couple of candies I found and the only thing I've yet to consume is my cigs
Which I'm doing currently
I have done another food search but I found nothing, I even searched through the garbage bin and only found trash
If this continues on... I might get desperate
My eyes lazily went to the slime stuck in a garbage bin, it is acting as my test subject for now... but if things get desperate
It wobbled, oblivious to its fate
Ahhh, I wonder what do they taste like? Plain, sugary, blueberries, grapes? I'm starting to feel a little crazy haha
I shook my head and put back my record to its stall and take out another notebook. This one shall be my map book
Things are much simpler now that I have a goal. That is to escape, conquer or whatever sh*t I need to do to escape
But to do all of those things, I need to atleast know the basic ins and outs of this place
Like who's the most trusted drug dealer in this place? What's the number one gang? Which place do I want to avoid the most? Those things
For now, I have a simple map going on with the known creatures on it, I got the right or left paths with the left mostly unexplored and the right with the zombie rats, also mostly unexplored
I sighed, I needed to go out and explore again if I want to fill out this map
I put the notebook to its stall and grabbed my flail and wrist guards, after some thought. I took my water bottle as well, keeping it on my pocket
With that, I opened the door
Same as always... Okay, left is the invincible gelatin monsters while the right is where the parasitic maggots are in
I stared at both ways "..." I have no where to go
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Since at the right there's an intersection, should I not go there? No, its way too close from the parasitic maggots
Left.. left is... okay. It might not be the best path but it's a better choice to choose when the other option can make you into the dream house of worms
There's also my need of water to which I am almost out. If there's a lake there... there might be a chance that there's also another one
I gripped my flail and started walking left
Most of my stress on the first day are gone now. Knowing that all of this was a game helped that
Although I still stayed cautious
After some walking around, I found the first sign of the carnage that happened to the rats
A rat's corpse stands infront of me
I pinched my nose from the smell, have they started to rot? I ignored the corpse and moved on
As I continue onwards, more and more corpses started to appear with the same set of injuries, broken bones and disfigured bodies with some just being a bloody pulp
"F*cking hell..." Even now, I'm still disgusted by it
I forced myself not to look and focused straight down the path, with my steady pacing. I should reach the cavern soon
"Huh...?" I stopped
Did that corpse just flinched?
'No way! Why is the worms here!?' My eyes narrowed and I took a few steps back from the suspected corpse
Something is wriggling inside of it!
I readied my flail and smashed downwards, It struck the rat and it's rotting corpse easily got demolished

Although I killed some of them, the rat is still flinching
I narrowed my eyes and readied my flail again. I swipe it downwards in one fell swoo-
"Skreeeeeee!!!!" The rat suddenly shrill making me miss by inches
"Sh*t" I cursed and pulled back my flail
The zombie rat leaped to my flail and I was forced to throw it away
'I need to carry more weapons...'
The rat once again leaped and I dodged. I run towards my flail and grab it
"Die!!!" I yelled and bashed the rat at its head
It was usually the place swarming with them. And as if to prove my sentence, the blue screen appeared
[You have killed a lvl 5-8 'Maggosite' x4! Experience +260]
"Skree...." The rat stopped moving
"Whew" I relaxed and looked at the rat
"Huh... It's actually still moving" I observed the rat more carefully, seeing it's leg flinching slightly from time to time
I pondered a bit before ripping out a piece of my uniform. After much struggle
I then poked the rats stomach with my flail. I waited for a few moments then reached in with my hand
A second later something came wriggling to its stomach, I narrowed my eyes and when I saw something poked out, I grabbed it and covered it with my cloth
'Test subject obtained!' I smiled
I carefully placed the parasite in my second pocket and kept going. Soon I reached the gelatin cavern
My head took a look inside and saw the ever mystical place, the foliage is glowing a faint blue which was reflected to the water and to everywhere else
I licked my lips and felt their cracked and dry surface, unconsciously my hand went to my water bottle
'No' I reminded myself and kept walking
It was hard for me to do it, the lake is just there waiting for me to drink but the thought of the giant gelatin monster living in there made me hesitate
My feet led me for a while, there doesn't seem to be any thing interesting or horrifying things going around
That was a first
I soon reached a dead end...
"Sh*t" I cursed, I hoped that if I continued on. There would be some path that would lead me towards water or luckily food
I should mark the left part as a dead end. I sighed and walk back towards the restroom
Halfway there, I passed the gelatin cavern again 'Just a quick entrance' I tried to elude my mind
I bite my lip 'Fine'
I entered the cavern and found myself in the presence of blobs, I looked at the lake to check for the big guy even though I knew it can turn invisible in water
Ignoring the blobs, I went near the lake and started filling up on my bottle
'Faster! Faster! Faster!' I yelled in my mind
The bottle is full and I quickly turned to left, I ran passing by some plants before stopping and going back
"Need a little samp-" Something wet touched my back
I jummped back in suprise but that was a mistake. I stepped on a blob and fell to the ground, dropping my flail in the process
"Agghh..." I groaned, several blobs came into view, wobbling towards me
I quickly stand back up and faced the blobs
'Did I trigger some sh*t!?' I looked at the plant
'If so I'm in huge trouble' A sweat dripped as I saw the blobs slowly advancing towards me
I jumped over them and picked up my flail, grabbed the plant again and ran
This agitated the blobs more and all of them started to wobble towards me but all I could think was to know why
'Th-this is a huge discovery, if I know why these fuc- when did I became a scholar...?' My face suddenly turned grim
I glanced at my pocket but I didn't do anything and ran out of the cavern. Thankfully the blobs were slow
I ran past quickly the corpses and when I'm sure the blobd cannot reach up to me. I stopped
"I shouldn't have brought this thing" I searched for my pockets and frowned as I felt something wet
I took out the thing I was looking for and glared at it. The Maggosite is drenched in blood, has this thing been nibbling on me?
'Should I kill it? No it's way too valuable to give up. Just have to have to keep a close ey-'

I threw out the parasite from my hands and continued walking
"Note to self, never keep a parasite"
