Kesshō stood in the center of the village, waiting for all her enemies to arrive. She deactivated both the Angelic and Demonic eyes so they have more of a chance against her, out of consideration for her opponents.
Five chimera landed around her at the same time, many others following after. They surrounded her completely, but it still did not trouble her. Two of the chimera opened their mouths and shot their fire breath at her, but it didn't have any effect on her, just like the previous ones.
Seeing this the closest five chimera rushed towards her at the same time, their claws primed to rip her apart. Kesshō slightly lowered her body and stabilized her footing, drawing a deep breath as she did. Gripping the hilt of her blade she scanned her surrounding for a moment, her eyes shifting from one enemy to the other.
“Tsuki Kenjutsu, ni no kata: Kodokuna Tsuki.” Kesshō mumbled as she swung her blade in multiple arcs all around herself, forming a protective dome with crescent moon blades.
The five chimera stopped in their tracks and backed away as they were slashed all over their body with the moon blades. Another one lunged at her from a gap between two chimera, it's jaws wide open and it's teeth bared. Kesshō jumped into the air, over the chimera as it fell forwards, and slashed its neck with her katana as she twisted. The chimera crashed on the ground, its head loosely hanging from its body, barely attached by a backbone.
The five that stopped by her earlier attack, now attacked her while she remained in the air, not wishing to give her any time to attack. She deflected a claw stab with a horizontal slash, also making herself upright with its help. Another chimera swung its claw towards her head as she landed, stepping forwards to apply more power. Lowering her body she dodged the attack, slashing its throat with an upwards slash as the chimera lost balance. She used the momentum of the katana to turn and move away as the chimera’s body fell to the ground.
She jumped up into the air as another chimera swung it's claw at her from behind. Somersaulting in the air she fell towards the chimera that tried to attack her, passing slightly over its head as it looked upwards, just a few Inches away from her. Stabbing her katana into its neck she used to it to slow herself and slice through its entire spine, landing softly on the ground as the chimera fell forwards, blood spurting out from its back.
Four chimera lunged at her at the same time as she landed. At once, eight of her phoenix tails shot up and impaled the four chimera, one piercing through the neck and one through the heart for each. All four chimera dropped dead and her tails retreated back instantly as Kesshō gave a scolding growl, not wanting for them to make the fight even more unfair.
Kesshō opened her mouth as blue-pink flames gathered inside, letting loose a fire blast at two chimera who were standing close to each other. Both the chimera reeled in pain as the flames spread over their body and burnt them alive, leaving no remains behind. The remaining ten chimera were hesitant to attack her and waited on each other, neither of them making any move.
“In a fight the one who takes the initiative has the advantage,” Kesshō informed, raising her katana to her head, it's tip towards the ground down, her blue eye hidden behind the katana.
She activated the Demonic Eye of Destruction, darkness swirling around her pink eye, covering the entire sclera, her heart-shaped pupil dilating to the shape of an arrow. All the chimera let out a growl of discomfort as she pressurized them, several of them cowering in terror. Many seemed to be desperately looking for a moment to attack, but they could sense there to be no opening even when Kesshō’s stance appeared open.
“I guess monsters are more sensible in some cases,” She sighed as her facade failed. “Just try to keep me entertained till master is done with his work.”
She dashed right in front of the closest chimera, startling it by her quickness. It bit down at her, but Kesshō jumped into the air before its jaws could close. Spinning her body upside-down she stabbed her katana right into its neck, landing on its head. Pulling it out, she applied another slash at the back of its neck before jumping off as the chimera violently shook its head and fell to the side, dead.
Another one stood where she would land, its jaws wide open, waiting for her to get within striking distance. Spreading her wings, Kesshō shot slightly over its head as it reached for her, spinning her body and performing a slash at the back of its neck, landing back on her feet behind it.
Not being able to slow herself she slid on the ground for some distance. A chimera slashed at her but she ducked below it, stopping herself by turning her body and slightly bending her legs, being pushed to her feet as they hit a rock, almost throwing her off balance. Sidestepping a claw attack she jumped over the chimera’s head, slashing its neck as well.

As she remained in the air another chimera slashed at her with its right claw, but she dodged it by using her wings to push herself a bit higher. Sensing the change the chimera slashed at her with its left claw, hitting her and tossing her right towards another chimera. It slammed it's tail right into her, sending her flying towards another chimera, which smashed her into the ground with both its claws.
It attempted to stomp her again but reeled away in pain as Kesshō pointed her katana upwards, the chimera’s paw being penetrated by the sharp blade. Instantly jumping back to her feet Kesshō dashed closer as the chimera staggered backwards, slashing it's leg. Not being able to support itself the chimera fell to the ground, completely defenseless.
As Kesshō turned to finish it off another chimera jumped at her, its jaws wide open to devour her. Kesshō sidestepped, dodging the attack, and the chimera slammed into its ally, sinking its large teeth into its ally’s torso and biting off a chunk of flesh on instinct. Before the chimera could move away again Kesshō slashed its neck, its ally already dead from the bite.
“That leaves five of you," Kesshō sighed. “Is that really the best you can do?” She inquired, her katana loosely pointed towards the five.
There were barely a few injuries on her, a bleeding claw mark on her cheek and right arm from the chimera’s slash, and a split lip from the stomping. She allowed the remaining five chimera to see these injuries, simply displaying to them how little they were capable of, knowing she could easily heal in these in a second, though she chose not to.
“What might you do if I increased the toughness of my scales, they are at the lowest toughness right now." Kesshō mumbled, swinging her katana in her hand casually.
She raised her right hand in front of her, an orb of pink and blue flames forming inside of it. She threw the orb towards the five chimera with a flick of her arm, a disappointed look on her face. The five chimera attempted to run but failed miserably as the orb exploded into a large cloud of pink and blue flames, engulfing all five. The flames slowly burning the chimera to nothingness, leaving behind no trace of their existence, not even ashes.
Of the five, only one remaining afterwards, the flames on its body slowly dying out. Kesshō tilted her head at the last one in confusion as its burns and injuries healed, near instantly after the flames died. As soon as all its injuries were healed the chimera shot towards Kesshō at blinding speed, catching her completely off guard.
Skidding to a stop in front of her it slashed at her with its claws, bright red lines marking its entire arm as it did. Kesshō raised her left arm to block the brunt of the hit, but failed to reduce the impact, being tossed far to the side as result. She bounced off the ground three times before rolling to a stop.
Coughing from the sudden impact she pushed herself up, her head bleeding and her sleeve hanging loosely as it got nearly torn off by the slash. A thin stream of blood flowed from her mouth as she coughed a small amount of blood, gesturing towards her internal bleeding. She inspected her arm, the bone broken from the impact.
“Didn’t expect there would be a Krystallite here, though not an actual one.” Kesshō coughed as she straightened her broken arm, the bone already fixed. An artificial core is implanted in its body, that means it’s not necessarily at its heart or anywhere near that.
Kesshō studied it for a moment with her eyes, known as the Soul Seer’s Eyes by some, the chimera appearing near completely black from them, only some traces of white remaining buried under the darkness. She could see a bright red orb located at its stomach, a fair bit lower than its heart. Kesshō smiled wryly, having located her target.
The chimera charged at her again at a similar speed, raising both its arms into the air as it stood in front of her all of a sudden. It slammed down with both its arms, planning to crush her body completely. The loose dust and dirt around the spot blew into a small dust cloud, shrouding the area for several moments. While the chimera couldn’t see it, it could still easily feel what happened.
“I guess this is all a fake is capable of,” Kesshō mocked.
She blocked the chimera’s attack by raising her hand above her head, blue-pink lines glowing in it. Kesshō pushed the chimera away with her hand, easily causing it to take a step back. Without any wait the chimera slashed with its claw at her, the red lines visible again. Kesshō easily deflected the claw slash with a swing of her left hand, batting it away, the blue-pink lines fading right after that.
Getting nowhere with melee attacks the chimera leapt back and opened its jaws wide. Red lines travelled to its jaws as bright red flames formed inside of it, it's eyes focused on Kesshō. Kesshō opened her mouth as well, blue-pink lines travelling to her chest from the rest of her body, merging with each other and travelling up her neck. Kesshō’s neck glowed brightly as the breath attack travelled up, returning to normal as it reached into her mouth.
Kesshō unleashed her breath attack at the same time as the chimera, both the attacks colliding halfway, Kesshō’s completely destroying the chimera’s and moving towards it without losing any speed or power. The breath attack caused a large explosion as it hit the chimera, a burst of blue-pink flames reaching high into the air.
The attack killed the chimera, leaving its body behind, though nowhere near intact. The ground around the chimera received slight damage from the explosion, but it showed no sign of any burning.
Kesshō walked to the chimera’s body, placing her left hand slightly above it. "Devour,” she mumbled.
The chimera’s body quickly disintegrated into a bright red light, being absorbed into Kesshō’s hand. Kesshō sheathed her katana and sat down, seemingly falling backwards to the ground, both her legs spread in front of her as she sat upright. All her injuries healed in an instant, leaving behind no sign of an injury ever having been there.
“I wonder how long master will take,” Kesshō sighed.
