Miss Nova,
I can't believe I'm writing these words, but I've found him. Theo is alive. He's alive.
I tracked down a group of survivors who had been hiding in the mountains after the camp was liberated. Among them was Theo. He's weak, and he's been through hell, but he's alive. The medics are taking care of him, but it's going to be a long road to recovery. His injuries aren't life threatening but they will make it hard to travel the distance back to you. I also think he wouldn't want you to see him in that state. I know that isn't what you would like to hear.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
When I saw him, the first thing he asked about was you. Even after everything, you were the one thing on his mind. I told him about your letters, about how you never gave up on him, and he smiled, a real smile, the first I've seen on his face in years. Before the last battle, that was the last time, though it was grim as we didn't know what would happen.
I'm going to stay with him until he's strong enough to travel. I had to stop him multiple times from leaving the medic tent to rush out to get home. He had to be sedated more than once. He's determined to get back to you, and I know he'll make it but he needs to regain his strength. I can't begin to imagine what you've been through, but I hope this news brings you the peace you've been searching for.
You'll be seeing him soon, Miss Nova. I'll make sure of it. I will write to you as he recovers.
Sincerely,
Sirius
