Dear Theo,
The war is over. The news came through the Mistveil this morning, spreading like wildfire. The newspapers say that a treaty was signed between Arcadia and Nivaria, bringing peace to our lands at last.
The village is buzzing with the news, people talking and celebrating in the streets, grateful that the fighting has finally come to an end. But for me, the relief is bittersweet. I can't bring myself to join them. Not without knowing where you are, or if you're even alive.
The soldiers are coming home, but you're not with them. Every time someone returns, I rush to see if it's you, only to be disappointed again and again. I've asked the officers, the ones in charge of records, but they tell me nothing. How can they expect me to be patient when all I want is to know if you're safe?
The war may be over, but I still haven't heard from you. It's been over a year since your last letter, and every day without news has felt like an eternity. While others rejoice, I can only wait, hoping that somehow, you'll find your way back to me.

I've written to the army, asking for any information about you, but they've yet to respond. They say it could take weeks, even months, to sort through the reports and find out what happened to all the soldiers. The waiting is unbearable. Every day, I hold on to the hope that I'll hear something, but as time goes on, that hope feels more and more fragile.
Please, if you're out there, if you survived, come back to me. I can't bear the thought of a world without you in it.
With all my love,
Nova

Dear Theo,
It's been three months since the war ended, and still, there's no word of you. The village is slowly returning to some semblance of normalcy, but for me, nothing feels right. People are rebuilding, picking up the pieces of their lives, but I'm still waiting, still searching for any sign of you.
I've written to the army several times, but each response is the same. They're overwhelmed with inquiries, and it will take time to process all the information. They've told me to be patient, but how can I be patient when every day feels like another loss?
I've been doing my best to keep busy, but it's hard to focus on anything when my mind is constantly filled with thoughts of you. I go to the village square every morning, hoping to see a letter or a messenger with news, but there's nothing.
Please, wherever you are, find a way to let me know. I can't keep living in this limbo, not knowing if you're alive or if I've lost you forever.
With all my love,
Nova
