The Return Part 1

The Return Part 1

20th of Solara, 1525

Miss Nova,

I don't know how to begin this letter. I've finally found something—a man who remembers seeing Theo was indeed seen at the prison camp I feared. He was alive, but barely. The conditions were brutal, and many didn't survive the treatment they had to endure. It was something no man, even a prisoner of war should have had to. The man I spoke to said that Theo was holding on, but he was injured. He remembers Theo talking about you, saying your name over and over, even when he could barely speak. That is how he remembered him when I reached out to him.

The camp was liberated shortly after that, but there's no record of Theo among the survivors. The men had very little notice of much in those conditions. It's possible he was moved, or that he somehow made it out on his own. I'm doing everything I can to trace where he might have gone, but it's difficult. The records are sparse, and many men just disappeared in the chaos. I will continue to ask those who were there once they begin to become stable.

I wanted to give you hope, but I also don't want to lie to you. There's still a chance, but it's slim. I'm going to keep looking as we have promised, but I wanted you to know what I've found so far. I'm sorry I can't give you more definite answers.

Please take care, and I'll be in touch again soon.

Sincerely,

Sirius
