10 years have passed since the war with the aliens ended. The humans are still recovering from the war, they lost countless lives and their colonies on other planets were all destroyed. Emma and I still did our job as superheroes, but people hated us since we didn't defend them against the aliens. It was frustrating, but I knew I had to trust the god who had transmigrated me to this world.
........
30 years passed since then. Emma was ascending her tribulations, but something went wrong. She was injured and on the brink of death. I had to act fast, so I froze time around her body to slow down her death. It was the only thing I could do to keep her alive. I felt helpless, but I knew that I had to grow stronger to heal her.
"Emma, can you hear me?" I whispered to her frozen body. Of course, she couldn't answer since she was frozen in time, but I still felt the need to talk to her. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get better. I won't let anything happen to you."
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. I spent every moment of my time cultivating and training to become stronger. I needed to be strong enough to heal Emma. I couldn't let her die.
"Steve, have you made any progress?" Emma's voice suddenly echoed in my mind. It was strange since her body was still frozen in time, but I realized that she was communicating with me telepathically.

"Emma, you can talk?" I asked, surprised.
"Yes, my soul is still alive but weak, even though my body is frozen in time. I've been watching you this whole time. The only reason I didn't communicate before was because my soul was too weak. You've grown so strong," she replied.
"I had to. I couldn't let you die. I promise I'll heal you soon," I said, determined.
"Steve, I know you want to heal me, but I don't want you to risk everything for me. You've already sacrificed so much for me. You don't have to do this," Emma said, her voice filled with concern.
"I have to. I can't live without you, Emma. You're my everything," I replied, my voice cracking with emotion.
"I know, but you have to be careful. The god who transmigrated us warned you not to interfere with the big events of this world," Emma reminded me.
"I know, but I can't just stand by and watch. I have the power to help, Emma. I can't just ignore it," I argued.
"But Steve, you have to trust the god. He knows what's best for us. We can't just interfere whenever we want," Emma reasoned.
"I know, but I can't just sit back and do nothing," I said, frustrated.
"Please, Steve. Don't do anything rash. We don't want to cause more harm than good," Emma pleaded.
"Okay, Emma. I won't do anything rash. I'll trust the god and let things play out. But I promise you, I'll find a way to heal you," I said, determined.
"Thank you, Steve. I know you will," Emma replied, her voice filled with gratitude.
I smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I knew I had to be patient and trust.
