Sum Ting Wong current class was Cook at Rank 1. Considering that he had used one point to learn it, there was a possibility of using the remaining CP (Class Points) to increase Cook to Rank 2.
Silently praying in his heart, Wong moved his finger toward the screen and clicked on the Cook's bar.
Unable to increase Cook to Rank 2. 2CP are required.
A new mini screen appeared in front of the big screen. But, even though Wong's experience in a video game had more or less prepared him with this probability, he still couldn't help but frown at the screen.
He spent 1 CP to get Cook class, and he had to spend 2 CP to increase Cook from Rank 1 to rank 2. Likewise, when raising Cook from rank 2 to rank 3, he should've needed 3 CP.
Opening a calculator app on his phone, Wong started calculating and found he needed 45 CP, or in other words, if he got 2 CP per level that meant he had to reach level 23 to increase Cook to Rank 9.
But that raised another question.
Wong's eyes went to the spot where there was a line of other classes. He was trying to put the last Class Point into Fisherman, but...
Unable to choose a Second Class.
Well, to tell the truth, Wong had been expecting that answer.
In most of the games that Wong had played, they would not allow his character to pick another class until he reached the milestone, whether it was to reach a certain level or do a certain quest.
But Wong shook his head. There was no need for him to think about multiclass. Instead, he closed his Class Menu and started opening Skill Menu.
Wong received four new skills from Cook, though there was no information about how to use a skill or something like a tutorial.
Shrugging his shoulder, Wong pressed on one of the new skill for a few seconds, thinking maybe an information skill would show up.
Unable to increase skill level, not enough SP.
Well, Wong would lie if he said he didn't expect that, but with this mini screen, Wong knew that touching whatever written on the screen would increase their level without any confirmation.
Sighing, although feeling slightly foolish, this time Wong followed what every other protagonist in the light novel did when they used their skill or magic.
"....Fast Food?"
But this time, immediately after he said that, another screen popped up in front of him.
Fast Food (Level 1): Focusing your Mana, you create a loaf of bread, a bowl worth of stew, half a pound of cheese, two apples, two beef jerky and 1,5 litre of water on the ground or in containers within range. The food is bland but nourishing and spoils if uneaten after 24 hours. The water is clean and doesn't go bad.

Cost 10 Mana.
Do you want to use Fast Food 1?
>Yes >No
Raising his eyebrow, Wong clicked Yes.
The screen disappeared and...
"Woooogh?!"
Something inside of Wong moved, something that he hadn't had before yesterday, and hadn't noticed because it never had been there before, rising and rushing to his palms, slowly flowing out into the air.
And in the direction where his palms pointed at, Wong saw blue energy floating around in the air, slowly forming itself into some kind of shape... A circle, filled with complicated lines and unknown writing. It then shone brightly and before Wong knew it, a plethora amount of food appeared on the floor.
But....
"...Fuck."
The water was splashing directly on the floor, flooding it and soaking the bread. Cheese and jerky were coated in the stew. The apples were rolling, each to the opposite side because of the sloping floor.
Yelping and hopping from his bed, Sum Ting Wong glared at the mess, cursing the skill. Then he read the skill description thoughtfully before he was chiding himself for his idiocy.
"But damn... Why doesn't it also create a container or something like that?"
Wong wanted to try again, but due to the fact that he could see eyes of some sort of bug glistering under his fridge, he would need to wait a bit. Instead, he took a mop and started cleaning up the mess he had created.
While making a mental note to figure out in which box he put his tableware, Wong remembered something. He threw his mop to the floor, walked to the table and then said "Kitchenware."
Kitchenware (Level 1): Focusing your Mana to create up to 2 Kitchenware of your choice that lasts for one hour. You must know its name, directly seen its shape, and understand its initial function before you are able to summon them.

Somatic: Not registered.
Cost: 10 Mana.
Do you want to use Kitchenware 1?
>Yes >No
To tell the truth, the way he used Skill was... A little bit disappointing. But Wong just shrugged his shoulder along with his disappointment to the side and chose Yes.
The same force moved within Wong, and a different kind of complicated circle appeared at the direction of his palms, right on the table.
To get it over with, when the circle shone, a big glass pitcher and a slightly oval pot, just like what Wong had imagined appeared on the table.
Grinning wildly, once again Wong used Fast Food. But this time, he arranged the food position in his mind. He imagined the glass pitcher was filled with water, the pot was filled with stew, while the other foods were scattered around them.
When the circle shone, unlike the last time, the food was carefully organized on the table. Wong's stomach growled like a bear and a bit of drool fell of his lip, without wasting another second Wong happily chomped on the bread but...
With widened eyes, Wong knew Fast Food description said the food was bland, but surprisingly, it wasn't bland at all.
In fact, it tasted like shit.
The bread was hard, he had to choke it down with the water and grimaced.
The apple tasted like... Actually, it didn't have any taste.
If he had to imply the jerky as starvation rations that would imply that it was in some way edible, and so instead Wong described it as a cross between styrofoam and leather. It was a texture even his molars couldn't grind down into something swallowable.
The stew must have been made by some catering school degenerate who scrapped through with a C plus and approved by some cooperate executive who only cares about the dollar amount per meal.
The cheese... Wong didn't even want to talk about that thing.
But if he looked at the bright side, the water was indeed refreshing. Or maybe the purpose of the water was to clean the eater's mouth from bad taste?
Then again, it was probably enough for him to live with these foods, not with the cheese. After all, if Wong ignored the taste and the cheese, the skill description said the food was nourishing. But the most important part, it was FREE. And that meant, Wong could save a whole bunch of money by cutting off the food expense.
But before that...
He needed to attend his class.
