Undead city-Altraud
Near the outer wall
Arthur sighed in relief at the narrow escape he had from getting grilled by his girlfriend and walked to the outer wall. There he found a group of three undead waiting for him with a bag full of obsidian crystals.
They gave the crystals to him and then one of them informed him of the situation in the dungeon.
“Um, chief, Maya and her team are still inside the dungeon and are in trouble”
Arthur didn't think the situation was dire until the undead informed him that the beasts inside the dungeon were going mad because of vampire blood.
He informed Paul to take care of the ceremony and bolted towards the dungeon at a mind-boggling speed.
Back in the dungeon
The Panther tried to lung at Arya but she used makeshift ropes of blood and restrained the big cat's movements. It was not strong enough to hold the Panther for long but it did provide the valuable time needed for Arya to use her

Her body glowed a silvery blue colour and her strength and speed increased by a notch because of the skill.
She managed to use the skill 2 times before the large cat broke free from its restraints and lunged towards her heart with a mad glint in its eyes. Arya jumped to her left and dodged the fatal blow but the cat didn't relent and attacked her repeatedly causing small wounds to accumulate on her body.
Normally such small wounds weren't a problem for Arya but the strain from her boosted speed along with the constant activation of her
Knowing that staying on the defensive any longer could be fatal, Arya made a dagger using rat blood and rushed to stab the Panther but her speed was much faster than she had anticipated so Instead of stabbing the cat, she ended up colliding head-first into the it and kissed it on the cheek.
It took a second for the panther to realize what had happened and immediately after which, it screamed bloody murder and rubbed its cheeks on the ground to get rid of the vile stench of the abominable vampire with all its might.
While the cat was busy, doing whatever it was doing, Arya used
By the time she was done boosting herself, her skin colour changed to light pink and her body shone with a silvery-blue lustre. She let go of her dagger as it was impossible to use it properly due to her increased speed. Instead, she opted to use bare hands to pummel the overgrown cat to the ground.
What followed was an intense catfight where both Arya and the Panther tried and failed to deliver a decisive blow.
Beads of sweat trickled down Arya's forehead as exhaustion slowly crept up on her. She needed to give the Panther a decisive blow and she needed to do it fast. She glanced at the bouncing skull that was Peter and with a deep sigh aimed her attacks not at the Panther but at the wounded crow.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The Panther noticed that and protected the crow with its own body.
*roooaarrr* a painful roar echoed throughout the grasslands as Arya landed a hit on its legs. With its leg injured, the panther lost a large chunk of its speed.
The fight continued for a minute longer and even with an injured leg the panther furiously fought back but a punch to its stomach and another hit on its let forced it to fall to the ground.
Arya was also not fairing any better, she was gasping for breath and was looking as pale as a ghost but even then she raised her hand again to deliver the final blow but the undead bird stopped her.
“That's enough, this match is over” it declared as both the wolf and the crow rushed to tend to the panther's wounds.
*howwwll*
*caaaww*
The wolf licked the wounds and the crow fed it the Rose petal, none of them even thought of attacking Arya. They knew that with all her boosts she was far stronger than them and more importantly, to them taking care of their injured friend mattered more than the insignificant vampire girl.
To Arya's surprise, Maya joined them to help the Panther even though Arya herself was just as, if not, more injured than the Panther. Her whole body was covered in injuries and she was exhausted yet she didn't approach her.
‘Why?’ she tilted her head, confused, as far as she was concerned the beasts were enemies and she was doing everything she could to help the undead.
She turned around and found Ervin and Peter staring at her. When their eyes met, Peter rolled over and jumped into her arms.
“Teacher, are you ok?”
He asked while checking her injuries and didn't like what he was seeing, her body was covered in wounds and she looked extremely tired.
Arya ruffled his skull and smiled reassuringly. She then glanced at Ervin and asked
“Why is she helping them? Did I do anything wrong?”
Ervin shook his head, “ No, you didn't do anything wrong. It just…how do I put it, Maya kind of grew up with a bunch of bears, so she has a soft spot for beasts in general”
While the two were talking, the undead bird approached the Panther and knelt in front of it.
“Hello, Mr Panther, I know this is not nice of me to say but this battle is over and you have lost. So as per the agreement with the undead could you please guide us to the dungeon reward centre?” the undead requested politely but the Panther just scoffed.
“The agreement is between me and Arthur, a vampire has nothing to do with it. That girl can go ahead and kill me, I am just going to respawn in a few days Max, but I will never accept defeat against a vampire”
The undead bird sighed and turned around to leave but heard a loud sound from a distance. The Panther and the others too heard the sound and turned towards the direction of the sound only to find Arthur rushing towards them with breakneck speed.
He used his skill
“Yo, how are you doing?” the Panther scoffed at his question and pointed towards Arya, “Why did you send her into my dungeon, I could have killed her”
“I know you wouldn't kill a child but I didn't expect her blood to drive all the beasts crazy”
The Panther sighed, it knew that the beasts acted a bit rashly because of the effect of her blood and so remained silent. Arthur ruffled its fur to cheer it up and suggested calling the battle a tie but it was still reluctant.
“Fine, let's call this battle a draw and in exchange, I will tell you a story about a certain Panther living in the misty forest” Arthur proposed causing the panther's ears to perk up.
“Is mom doing fine?” it asked in excitement but Arthur glared at it, “She is not your mom, she just has your mom's body, nothing more, nothing less”
Maya who was listening from a distance couldn't understand what they were talking about and raised her hand, “Hey, can somebody fill me the details. I am not understanding a thing”
Arthur nodded and explained, “These guys used to live in the dark forest but were forced to migrate because of an ongoing war. During the journey, they lost their family and in the process the Panther obtained a special affinity called life affinity. With its help, it brought its mother back to life but the reborn mother didn't have memories of her past life and saw herself as a servant to the baby Panther. Seeing its mother like that broke the panther's heart, it left the forest and after many twists and turns became a dungeon boss”
After he was done explaining he turned towards the Panther, “Anyway, I will tell you about her but in exchange, you have to agree to a tie. Do we have a deal” he asked and the Panther begrudgingly nodded.
With that done Arthur used his skill to carry all the others towards the mountain top.
At the top, they all saw a large magic circle and at the centre of which there was a creepy altar of a hooded skeleton wielding a sickle with the name undead dungeon overseer written on the foot of the altar.
