I wake up, and like yesterday i find a pair of clothes on the dresser so after taking care of the morning business i change and leave the room. We were lead to the field and did the same basic workout we did yesterday, and training our spirits, but we didn't make much progress. we were, then again, split up, with me in the classroom group again. But when we got there, there were only chairs put in a circle. Inferring what we were supposed to do, i sat down in one. The others did too and so the grand magus went into the center and began speaking.

“Today we will be doing the magic system circle magic, or as most refer to it as, common magic, because almost everyone has talent in it. This system of magic mostly relies on the world's natural mana,  which is stimulated by your own mana, and conducted through a magic formation. Today we will begin with teaching you all how to sense and use magic power. So to start i want you all to look within yourselves and sense for it. The epicenter of magic in your body, or magic core is at your lower abdomen. And the mana should feel calm and cool”(GM)

I do as he said and look within myself. I see the dragon/doren inside me, but this isn’t what i was looking for so i put it aside, but not before noticing it looked like it was sleeping. I concentrate, but can’t seem to find it.

“Well done david!”(GM)

I open my eyes to see david’s shoulder being patted by the grand magus. It seemed he found his core first. Ignoring him and everyone else i look inside myself again, and concentrate HARD. i see something but it wasn't like what he said. It looked like a sphere, but that wasn’t what was different. The grand magus said it would look calm and cool, while this was strong and fierce. It also looked almost prideful. Like it couldn’t be controlled. But then i see in the opposite side of my body was yet another sphere, but this one was about a quarter of the other sphere, and like the grand magus said, was calm and cool. This must be my magic core. But if that's true then what was the bigger one then? I didn’t know but since i already discovered my core i open my eyes and said.

“Grand magus, i’ve seen my core”(me)

“Good you were the third that did so.”(GM)

I look and see that other than david and me another person had their eyes open. It was a girl, it was amelia, or amy for short. She had a rich brown eyes, and long, light auburn hair. She was the type of girl who was shy, but when she got set on something she rarely gave up. Now that i had finished i decided to just relax and think of nothing. After what was about 5-10 minutes everyone else had about grasped it. The grand magus began to speak again.

“Now that everyone has sensed there cores, we will begin with the circles. As i said before we use our mana to activate the circle as to channel the world's mana to do a purpose. Such as this one”(GM)

He then picks up a slip of paper with a circle with one or two symbols in it. He shows it to everyone then continues

“This circle is for making a small flame. As such”(GM)

He then sets the paper on his hand and then a fire burns above the paper. The fire was about the size you would see from a match, or a lighter.

“Now this one is simpler and thus costs little mana to activate now under your chairs there is a similar one, pick it up now.”(GM)

I feel around and indeed there was a slip of paper under there. I pick it up and place it on my hand like he did

“Now, i want you all to focus on your core and look for the liquid-like mana in there. Then imagine it flowing into your chest, then arm, then hand, and finally into the paper”(GM)

I look into myself and see my core, i look at the blue core, and after feeling around it i see the liquid. Then as he said i guided it through my body into the paper. And feel a small heat there. I look and see the flame, flickering in my hand above the paper. I look around and see the others lit their flames about the same time i did. Everyone looked at the magical flame. The grand magus spoke again.

“Good! It seems you all picked this up easily! No Wonder you are all the legendary heroes! Now that you all have gotten used to using mana, and your cores, let's use the rest of the time to talk about how to make magic circles. Now the way magic circles work is-”(GM)

The grand magus then proceeded to give a long winded explanation of how magic circles work. Sense most of it is math and the meaning of symbols, most of the students’ minds started to drift. Luckily i’m the type that can focus on things that catch my interest, and magic? I find that very interesting. But magic circles boil down to this

1. The circle is essentially a start button, and it also allows you to pour mana into it.

2. The first symbol in the circle is a command, such as ‘go forward’ or ‘stay floating’

3. The second circle is a property or element, like ‘fire’ ‘wind’ ‘force’

4. The third symbol is either a secondary element, or a second command, such as if the property is ‘fire’ and has a secondary element is ‘force’ it will make an explosion

5. The more symbols the more mana it takes to realize

6. The more profound the command, or element the more mana it takes

7. The stronger the circle the better the material it needs to work, if material is too low a quality, it will give a lessened effect, and destroy the material.

So after teaching us some basic commands, and properties he told us to make one or two basic circles as to get used to the combinations. I made two circles. My first was a gust circle, or a ‘forward’ ‘wind’ circle that made a gust of wind appear, though it was only strong enough to blow some papers. My second one was a drink circle being a ‘stay floating’ and ’water’ to make a sphere of water float into the air. The drink circle is most commonly used to make a drink of water when there is no other source.

Other people made their circles to. But now that we finished, with magic class, for today we headed to the mess hall for another dinner similar to the first day. And finally weapon training. I was again, in sword swinging time. And so was the second coming of the jelly arms. And i head back to my room, and i decided to take a shower before bed. I take off my clothes, and hop into the shower that was made of some thin crystal that was somewhat see through, to the amount where you can see a blurred figure but not much else. The water was cold at first, but with the burning of my bones, and muscles it was welcomed. But as it heated up i start cleaning myself with the oil in a container. If i remembered oil was used before soap in greece right? I think so. So after cleaning myself i climb into bed too tired to put my clothes back on before i was embraced into a deep sleep.
