*ding ding ding*

I wake up with a start. I've never been a morning person but the loud bell noises woke me up good. I look over and see on the dresser is a set of clothes, a maid must of put it there… and I didn’t even hear them. maids are scary.

After changing clothes I walk outside, and see everyone else is doing the same with the guys wearing a loose shirt made of some silk like materials, and pants made of a hard thread. The girls are wearing sleeveless shirt and a knee length skirt with tall socks. the knight captain was here and said

“You will begin training now, for the first two hours everyday you will be doing a basic workout, then training to use your spirits, and finally specialized training depending on your spirit”(knight captain)

We then proceeded to go outside to a training field.

“First a light warm up. Twenty laps!”(knight captain)

I miss the comfy bed….

After the laps the girls and boys split to the opposite sides of the field and start doing physical training for the boys, training meant to train strength and speed, the girls did training to increase agility and flexibility. Afterwards we were all exhausted with some of us even passing out. A lot off the boys complained about the girl’s shirts not being see through from the sweat, i on the other hand was more preoccupied from the burning inferno that is my body.

“Good job for a first time, but it will only get harder. Now go rest in the baths and change clothes.”(knight captain)

He pointed towards two doors one pink the other blue, it was obvious who's who's. I got through the blue door and see a large steaming bath of water with a bin and rack, the rack had clean versions of the ones we were wearing. We all get into the bathes, some of us taking off our clothes others not. After ten or so minutes we climb out and change, mostly because someone ripped a loud fart and was stinking up the place. After scrambling out we were in a similar feld, why do they need to have two of the same field? The grand magus was here and started talking

“Now it’s time to learn how to use your spirits, there are three ways to utilise them, synchronization, unleashing, and summoning, The difficulty to use is in that order. Synchronization is where your spirit and body synchronize giving it the same properties as the spirit, such as claws, fangs, and wings. Unleashing is when you use a skill from your spirit. And finally summoning is when you materialize your spirit in its physical form to fight with you.”(GM)

“Because it’s the easiest we will start with synchronize. Look within yourself, reach deep inside and will it to expand and fuse with you body!”(GM)

I do as he said, i remember that feeling i had on the bus yesterday. I reach deep inside and see the monster within, it was a doren right? I pull and pull and it expands slowly forming and.

“Good job! Nick was it? It is very impressive only 3 minutes!”(GM)

3 minutes? That long? I swore it felt like seconds… i look at myself and i see i have claws, my hands ending in white, sharp claws, not the usual fleshy round tips they were before. I look around and see everyone with there eyes closed, scrunched up faces, some even grunting. Then a few minutes later they start to manifest. Some got animal ears, some grew in size, and some even got fangs sticking out of there mouths. All but davit who one or two minutes later got red fur growing out of his neck making a lion-like mane.

“Good job all of you, especially david! You took the longest, and it is harder to manifest stronger spirits!”(GM)

“Now i want you to try and stay in this form as long as you can, it is hard to stay in this form at first but you will get the trick eventually”(GM)

You could see some struggling to stay like this some even already passed out looking exhausted, but for a different reason than before.

I was kneeling on the ground vision blurring, just trying to keep this form a little longer. Then i had to let it go, before rolling onto my back, laying down on the ground. I turn my head with what little energy i had, and see most are in the same state as i was. When everyone was dead and on the ground, the grand magus begins to talk.

“For a first time that was great for all of you-”(GM)

I lose consciousness when he started

When i wake up we were on the field. It seems i passed out only for a minute because the grand magus was still talking.

“-but enough about that! Now! We are going to go into specialized training”(GM)

It seems i didn’t miss a lot of important things, while i was out.

He starts splitting us up some go back to the field we were in before while some move into a new door. I was with the group who went through the door. We sat down in a room with desks, and seats. A classroom. I sit down at a desk in the back. On the table were some things i didn’t know what did, mainly three, what look like gem shards. One red, one blue, one yellow.

“You here are ones with spirits that have a possibility to use magic. In front of you are three magic shards, magic shards are just that. Shards of magic gems. Magic gems have many purposes, but when broken they react to the prospect of use, or what is essentially potential for that school of magic. Touch them and say the results please.”(GM)

I touched them each, and they all started to glow. Brightly!

“Oh! You have a high potential! david!”(GM)

The grand magus saw his crystals glow. They weren't glowing as bright as mine, but he was looking towards david at the time and didn’t see mine.

“All mine glowed!”(me)

By the time he looked over the glow had faded.

“Good, you will do good.”(GM)

He obviously wasn't as impressed with me as he was with me as david. But i didn’t care, i didn’t need to be in the spotlight. So i didn’t say anything. And the magic training began.
