However, I do like the courage they have. I thought, making my way over a raised part of the road. But how will they take it when they see this?

Thunk—!
“Good job, Ji-Hoon!” Daeshim praised the flimsy man as he looked with glowing eyes at his team.
Thunk—!
Are these the same people that I saved? I marveled at the great teamwork Daeshim, and his party showed. It hasn’t even been that long since the first wave. So how have they improved so much?
I continued to watch them take down goblin after goblin, and when I looked around me, I noticed at least a hundred other people fighting too.
Though you might think being over double as many people as monsters is in our favor, but—
“No, Han-Gyeol!” A nightmarish scream engulfed the battlefield, and everyone’s attention shifted to where it came from.
These people aren’t used to working together, so it wouldn’t make a difference even if two people could fight against one goblin. I kept on thinking as the girl’s scream continued.
It’s unfortunate indeed… And it might even be my fault. I shook my head, trying not to regret any of my decisions.
A lot more death will occur.

Swash—!
“This is the last goblin!” Daeshim groaned while he exchanged blows with a goblin. “But can I get some help!” He yelled as he blocked the short sword the goblin slashed at him.
Piiing—!
“Should just have called earlier!” An arrow flies through the air and hits the goblin in its forehead. “But I thought you could kill one mere goblin by yourself?” A woman landed on the ground in front of the now-dead goblin and pulled out an arrow that got stuck in its head.
“Dallia…” Daeshim trembled as he looked at the dispersing corpse with a face white as a ghost.
“Don’t look at me like that. You wanted help, so I helped you.” She responded with her hands behind the head, smiling delinquently as the man who nearly got shot in the head stood speechless, staring at her.
“Let’s just finish off this big ugly goblin!” He couldn’t help but angrily yell, pointing his sword at the last goblin standing.
Stolen novel; please report.
I like their spirits. However, the next enemy is no other than the boss, so their journey might end here if they aren’t careful enough.
But I am impressed, to say the least. When we walked over the hilltop, we could overlook the goblin army. And I thought the majority would turn around and run away with their tails between their legs. But only a few decided to run away and leave us with the trash. Not too shabby.
So let me step a few meters back and see how they fare against the Goblin General. I surveyed the battlefield with a big grin as I heard something sneaking up behind me.
“Why are you smiling?” A soft and faint voice interrupted my entertainment, and I hastily looked to my side to see who it was. “And aren’t you going to fight too?” A girl with long blonde hair, a slender body, and a beautiful face befitting only love interest in a fantasy novel stood at my side, questioning me.
I got a slight Deja Vu there. But other than that, what is she doing here? I tried giving my best smile, but it came out somewhat awkward.
I looked away because the sheer beauty she showed overwhelmed me a little, and I tried coming up with an excuse as to why I just observed the people instead of fighting. “Uhm, I’m just checking out the situation before doing anything. I think running blindly into a fight is a bad idea.” I obviously lied, but that was the best I could come up with on the spot.
“Oh, really? That’s a good idea.” She stopped beside me and looked in the same direction as me. I couldn’t tell what she wanted and why she suddenly interacted with me. However, I noticed something peculiar about her.
“My name is Aera, though you probably don’t care about that.” She began fiddling with her thumbs as she looked down at the ground, and I noticed her face becoming redder as time went.
What’s happening? I began to sweat profusely.
I couldn’t talk with a girl in the first place, and now it’s even worse when she looks at me like that!
“Uhm… By the way, I noticed that the people you are teaming with had improved quite a lot. More so than I expected. How’s that?” I inquired as I tried getting the awkward conversation going. Though I’m usually not the one to drive conversations, this one in particular felt like I should be the one.
“Oh, that’s because of you.” She responded fast and with more confidence in her voice.” After you told us about the menu, we quickly figured out how to use it. And not only that, something strange happened when I leveled up once, and it gave me a skill.” She looked peculiar at me, like I should know what she talked about.
A skill? That is indeed strange. I thought to myself.
You can’t get any skills before picking what class you want to be. And that choice is only presented to you after the tutorial? So the only possibility is that she doesn’t know what she is talking about.
“What’s the name of—” I tried inquiring some more, but something interrupted me.
Ding—!
-System: You engage in combat with the Goblin General.
They already went to fight the boss! I gaped at the poor decision to engage with the Goblin General so soon. And it came so unexpectedly that I forgot what I was doing just now.
They should have rested before the final fight! The Goblin General didn’t even move an inch. All they had to do was just not go near him.
“Bruh…” Blurting out my confusion, I assessed the situation after getting distracted by Aera. And I saw Daeshim and around twenty other people standing in front of the boss boasting their weapons at him.
“What do you mean?” Aera asked at my short but very remarkable use of English grammar. “We need to kill that goblin?” She tilted her head as she knew I looked concerned.
“Well, yes. But at least get some rest first. Not even half of the people here are in a condition to fight—”
Crackle—!
“Fan’fricking’tastic! It already began shaking like crazy.” Sighing my dissatisfaction. I had trouble standing on my feet as an earthquake cracked the ground and trees and bushes collapsed around the Goblin General.
They are screwed! Not gonna lie. I hope they will at least damage the boss before dying though the chances are small.
“What are we going to do!” I felt someone pulling my arm, and I looked to my side only to see a dreaded girl yelling desperately at me to do something.
“Don’t worry too much—” Trying to calm her down, but she continued to be in her panicked state.
“They are going to die!” She pointed at the trees that were collapsing as the twenty-odd people in the proximity barely dodged them.
