Hi guys,
When I started writing this it was an experiment, I've never pieced together more than a few thousand words into a story before, and this took off quite quickly. Unfortunately, I never really planned ahead more than a chapter or two and I found myself going off my original plan after the first few chapters, and while it wasn't intentional, I can see there was a lot of fluff in the story that was quite unnecessary.
Looking back now the first two arcs are over (it was originally planned to last about 5-6 chapters) I realised to get the story back on track I'd need to do a rewrite, and honestly, I'm not really feeling any inspiration for the story any longer. In fact, as I wrote two chapters ahead of what I posted (until the last two) I actually last wrote anything about two weeks ago. I struggled to "fix" what had happened and put it back on track, but after scrapping three different versions of the next chapter I've decided to stop banging my head against the wall and leave it where it is.
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
So, thank you all for reading my story, I hope you enjoyed it. The ending may be a bit abrupt but I think it actually works as an okay stopping point.
I've learnt a lot from this web novel, mostly that I need more structure in my writing process. I do have other stories I wish to write, perhaps even one set in the same world as this one. We'll see what happens I guess.
Thanks again for reading and apologies for writing yet another dropped fiction on RRL.
