A violet-eyed fairy suddenly entered the room.
“Ah, Filyir, you´ve already woken up!”
“”Tch, I have really declined.”” Filyir thought while doing her best not to let what was in her mind show up on her face.
The violet-eyed fairy wasn´t a fire fairy. With her senses being that of just a newly born fairy, other than being able to sense fire mana, she was completely defenseless against any sudden attacks.
Filyir still hadn´t made any plans on how to deal with the other fairies. She didn´t know how a newly born fairy would act like.
“Who…?” Filyir spoke in a quiet voice.
Among the information received from the great fairy´s blessing, there was also the language spoken by the fairies. In fact, it seemed that it was also the most spoken language in the world; the common language of Asrrerie.
Because of that, Filyir naturally could speak the language. But even so, there was no way she would be able to guess what reaction a newborn would have to that. When life is born or reborn, normally one would start without any knowledge or defined personality. Even by suddenly learning a language by directly receiving the knowledge, it didn´t necessarily mean the newly born would already be able to speak. At the same time, perhaps it could be possible that the newly born would be able to speak.
Filyir didn´t have enough time to ponder about that, so the most she could do was to be careful and act meek so that she doesn´t need to use the language as much. That was the idea that immediately came to her mind.
Although Filyir was arrogant, she knew well about the power of deceit. There was one time she even cheated a whole sect in her earlier days. Filyir was a graduated swindler. If it hadn´t been for that, perhaps Filyir wouldn´t have been able to immediately think of how to act.
But even with that, there was no way Filyir could have expected the violet-eyed fairy´s reaction.
“Sooooo cuuuuuute!”
The fairy immediately jumped at Filyir and hugged her. Filyir was once a immortal that had met countless tribulations and faced lofty immortals, but it was simply impossible that she could have dodged that.
“”Shit! The hole in the bed!””
Filyir didn´t have the spare time to worry about being hugged. She needed to think of a way to escape this predicament. She needed to think of a way to lead the fairy away from her bed before she notices the hole.
“Ah…” The fairy suddenly gasped. And then, with teary eyes, her shoulders dropped. With a sad tone of voice, she muttered. “She got mad at me…”
“”My face?”” After guessing the cause, Filyir quickly corrected her face. Apparently, she ended up showing her thoughts in her expression.
The violet eyes of that fairy once again became wide-open. Filyir was worried whether her smile ended up being too cramped. But those worries ended up being unnecessary...
“S-so… so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” The fairy once again hugged Filyir. This time, she was even rubbing her face on her.
“”Alas, I have really declined…””
In face of such predicament, Filyir could only lament.
After continuing to cling onto Filyir for a few more seconds, the fairy gave her a cheek kiss before finally releasing her. Both were now sitting next to each other on the bed. Filyir was doing her best to hold herself back from killing the fairy in front of her eyes. If one was to look closely, it would be possible to see the coldness deep in those red eyes; the complete opposite of the warmth in the violet eyes those red eyes faced.
“Nice to meet you, my name is Alefyr Lalefyris.” Alefyr said with a bright smile. “From now on, I will be taking care of you. Please, call me mommy~”
“No.”
“Ah…”
A very flat answer. It couldn´t be helped the word “no” automatically left Filyir´s mouth.
“”Damn it, control yourself! This is not the time to be holding grudge over some stupid small fry!””
Filyir was having trouble controlling her emotions. Considering her arrogant personality and the decline in her soul, this couldn´t be helped.
“Then maybe… Maybe mother...?” Alefyr timidly asked. Filyir decided to ignore that.
Filyir was trying to think about what to do in order to break out of her current situation. However, in front of those violet eyes full of anticipation, she couldn´t bring herself to concentrate on the matter. She decided that she would have to proceed with their conversation if she wanted to make any progress.
“Alefyr.” Filyir said with a plain tone. It was as if she was saying she would only call Alefyr by her name.
Before, the hope in Alefyr´s eyes was about to disappear. But then, hearing Filyir say her name, Alefyr´s eyes were once again full of sparkles. Even though Filyir didn´t call her mother just as she hoped, she couldn´t help but become moved after hearing her own child speak her name for the first time.
“Filyir, my cute little fairy~” Alefyr´s expression was once again becoming abnormally bright. Filyir had seen that pattern before. This time, she was prepared.
She immediately got down from the bed. If she was to dodge Alefyr while still on the bed, it might be possible that Alefyr would discover the hole in the bed by chance after falling with her face onto it. Hence, the first thing Filyir did was to get away from it.
Alefyr charged. Filyir nimbly escaped the attack without making any unnecessary movement.
““Ah, I see. So that´s how it is.”” Seeing how Alefyr was throwing herself onto her, Filyir got an idea.

Immediately after having dodged the assault, Filyir escaped to the door made of leaves and little branches. Violently kicking the door open without paying mind on how it looked fragile, she ran off from her room without caring about the place being completely new to her eyes.
“Come here, give mommy a hug...” Alefyr said in a sad tone as she ran after Filyir. Even so, her speed didn´t decrease.
Filyir´s plan was a very simple one. Alefyr wanted to hug her, and she needed to get Alefyr away from her bed. In that case, all she needed to do was to use herself as a bait and lure Alefyr away from the bed.
Filyir was going down a spiral corridor. As to be expected, the corridor was carved out at the tree. There were some parts left untouched at the edge of the corridor that worked as pillars to support the structure of the tree that was so much hollowed. At regular periods, there would be doors that Filyir assumed they would lead to the same kind of room she came from. From time to time, there would also be fairies that were walking at the corridor, only to look at Filyir with either surprise or curiosity when she passed by them. It wouldn´t be weird if the tree she was at was a residential area.
After continuing to run for a while, Filyir decided to stop. Even if she kept running around, it would lead to nothing. Her first priority now was to figure how to fit into this society full of fairies.
Before, Alefyr told her to call her mother. It was easy to guess that she was her caretaker, the fairy who had first found her when she was just born. Even if Filyir didn´t like it, she was going to have to live together with Alefyr for a long time.
Alefyr soon caught up with Filyir. She seemed exhausted. Seeing that, Filyir felt a bit dejected at how fairies were weak.
“Hah… Hah.... How can you run so… fast?” Alefyr asked as she tried to catch her breath. Filyir simply looked at Alefyr without saying anything.
Alefyr came in front of Filyir. She was already moving her arms around Filyir. This time, Filyir didn´t put any resistance. Although Filyir wasn´t sure about what was going through the head of that fairy, she knew she liked hugs very much. Since they were going to live together, there was no way for her to escape. All Filyir could do was to get used and put up with it until she was free from her.
“Do you not like it?” Moving her arms back, Alefyr asked. Without waiting for the answer, she showed a gentle smile and continued. “It´s alright. I won´t hug you.”
Alefyr patted Filyir´s head. Although she wasn´t hugging her, she was still patting her head. In a certain sense, it didn´t change the situation too much. But even so, for some reason, Filyir didn´t completely dislike it.
“Hehe, thank you.” For some reason, Alefyr gave her thanks.
Filyir´s mind was disordered and she was filled with mixed feelings. It seemed that her soul was still unstable.
“”Alas... I have really declined…””
------------------------------
Both Filyir and Alefyr were back at the room. Filyir was annoyed that they had to come back there after all her effort to have Alefyr get away from it.
Right now, both were sitting on the bed. Filyir made sure to sit down exactly where the hole in the bed was at.
“But Filyir, to think you would already be able to speak... Usually it would take a few days before you could even understand words.” Alefyr said in a praising tone.
Just as Filyir had guessed, it seemed it wasn´t something simple as the newborn fairy suddenly being able to talk after receiving the blessing. Forcefully imprinting so many memories onto the souls of others all at once was something that would usually shatter the soul, or perhaps make the person go crazy at best. The great fairy was someone capable of interfering with something as sublime as “existence”, so even if Filyir had speculated that to be the case, she didn´t dare underestimate her and dismiss the idea of direct memory imprinting.
If Filyir had to guess, the imprinting probably happened at the subconscious. With the fairy learning and experiencing new things, bit by bit she would be able to bring those memories up from there. Although it wouldn´t make the fairy´s learning instantaneous, it would greatly speed up the process. The reason why Filyir was able to have access to all the information from the beginning was probably because of her previous life.
With that said, this method in itself was still very much commendable. Filyir wasn´t sure she would be able to succeed a hundred percent of the times if she was to try doing it herself with her former strength.
“This, weird?” Filyir made sure not to look fluent in the language. She would slowly pronounce the words one by one.
“No! I mean, it´s not weird! It´s just that Filyir is really intelligent.” Alefyr said while panicking a bit.
“Ok.”
“Ok!” Said Alefyr, repeating what Filyir said in a more enthusiastic way.
Silence took over for a few seconds. The room fell into an awkward mood.
“What, to do?” Filyir asked. She wanted to know more about her current situation. She didn´t want to be chitchatting with Alefyr, much less did she want to keep looking at her awkward face she was making due to how she didn´t know any topic to bring up to the conversation.
“What to do? What to do… Ah! That´s right! How could I have forgot that!” Alefyr exclaimed.
Filyir was a bit curious about the next thing Alefyr was going to say, but she would have guessed she was going to become disappointed.
“We need to properly introduce you to everyone!”
Getting to know the other fairies wasn´t bad since it was exactly what Filyir wanted, but she couldn´t help but become annoyed at the way Alefyr said that.
