Eira walked out the back door reserved only for employees. The door creaked open with the snow stopping its way half way through. The cold wind blew at her face. It was refreshing yet unsettling. She walked out to the front. The cars still lined the parking lot. Unmoved and cold. She remembered her car was still standing there covered in the snow. She couldn't remember where she had put her keys away. She took out car keys and put them somewhere thinking they wouldn't really come in handy ever again. She turned around and walked to the front door and started dismantling all that was blocking the way. She walked in and started searching for her keys. After sifting through the entire place for about an hour, she found it.
She ran out with much difficulty (her legs were not used to running yet) to her car. She hoped to all the gods she knew that the car battery hadn't gone to shit. She pressed the unlock button on her car keys. The rear lights on her car lit up. One could barely make out the lights against the snow. But the sound of the car unlocking was unmistakable. She shoved through the snow to her car. She used the blankets she had to sweep off the snow on her car and swung open the door.
The car smelled stuffy and wet. Eira’s unfinished medium sized iced coffee sat there frozen in the cup holder. Her phone was still plugged into the car's charger. She sat down on the frosty driver's seat. She tried to start the car half expecting it to not to. It didn't.
She turned the key just enough to keep the battery on. The radio turned on and started singing static. Her phone pinged indicating that it had started charging. She turned her attention to the radio. She tuned into a few stations she was familiar with. Static. She tuned the radio back and forth in hopes to find something that would help her make sense of what was happening, but all she heard was static. Eira sat back in her seat. It was quite wet now because of the warmth of her body. She closed her eyes as her phone started to go off with all the notifications that she had received through the course of who knows how long. After about ten minutes, she sat there with radio static as her only companion.

“Hey bossman! We raided the town and guess what, cleaned out. Not a morsel of food. Not even flour was left. This sucks!”, he said.
“DO NOT call me bossman! How many times have I told you? Did anyone try to get back that emergency call centre that we captured?”, asked he.
“Nope, we are nice and undercover. Only those who want to go against Akar know about it so far and we have received about 5 calls enquiring about joining this mutiny. Also we have received like about 50 prank calls claiming to want to work for that jerk and you know it's really not that funny now that i think about it”, he replied.
“*Sigh* Anyway, EVERYONE! Tonight, we are going to head back to HQ and everyone is going to spread out and we will look for more people to go against this system. The sooner we get rid of this winter, the sooner we can reunite with our families. Let’s Go! And also we will head out tonight as security around here is pretty tight so rest up until then and make sure nobody gets lost. That’s all.”
