Eira could only wish that she could remember someone’s number other than her own. She tried calling her phone hoping someone would have picked it up. But it wasnt so. It was probably buried somewhere in the cold snow. The storm let down after a few days. Eira began to try and make her legs useful again. Eira’s knees always looked bruised due to her falling down over and over again. But she paid no mind to it. Sometimes she would fall down due to sheer exhaustion but the thought of seeing her mother again would give her strength to get up again. She would go up to the rooftop and practice walking there to get accustomed to walking in the snow after she could walk without leaning on a wall to support her. She still leaned on a broken pipe to walk when she felt weak sometimes. She would walk in the snow barefoot although it felt slightly weird sometimes, she grew more curious as to why she didn't feel cold. She would still wrap herself with blankets at all times even though she felt extremely hot. It just didn't feel right for her to walk around without keeping herself warm in a harsh winter.
…..
It was a sunny day. The grass looked greener than ever before. Eira was playing with Bonbon, the family dog, asking with her father. While her mother and sister were setting out their meal on the table cloth they had brought along for the picnic. They called out for the two of them for lunch from under the tree. Eira rushed over to get her favourite picnic sandwiches. Bonbon quietly started nudging them one by one for a piece of salami. Eira's father got up to go get something from the car. As he came near it became apparent what it was. It was a photo album. It had pictures of Eira and her sister when they were young. Everyone, even Bonbon, still hoping for that piece of salami, huddled in together to look at all the pictures and hear funny stories from when they were taken.

Crack, crack!
"... do guys remember when that happened?..."
Crack,crack!
"... Oh! I remember that! That was when…"
THUD!
Eira's eyes snapped close. She slowly opened them to find everyone crushed under the tree. Bonbon slowly whimpered as he slowly fell unconscious. Eira, not knowing what to do, only cried while hopelessly trying to get the tree off of her parents.
CRASH!
Eira was woken up by the loud noise. She was breathing heavily as her eyes slowly teared up. Was it a dream? Yeah, it was just a dream. Just a dream. Just a dream… she told herself to calm herself. As she was slowly calming herself, she could feel the loneliness crawling in. With loneliness came the cold. She could feel the temperature dropping in her body. She began shivering because of the cold. She grabbed one of the blankets she had kicked off when she was sleeping and wrapped herself with it to keep warm.
