Sunday was similar to Saturday, only that there's no Belladona-sensei.
We spent a part of the morning studying in the shade of the forest's trees in the morning, since we didn't have much to do.
Afterwards we listened to a story everyone thought up of.
The boys tells medieval fantasy, fighting and adventuring stories. The girls, romance, flowers and all that.
For me, the girls called me a tomboy because I told a story of me playing some games as a monk.
At noon as we reach the dining hall we took out our dungeon buds and filled it up with mana. Since it was the weekend we could do this more. Also after eating, it is easier as we regenerate mana faster because of it.
With all the class work already finished we finally hit the dead end known as boredom. A terrifying thing for children, and even the adults.
Because we already explored what we were allowed around the school we were finally forced to go to the entertainment room in the dorm.
We were evading it mainly because of the other older kids.
The room is above the dining hall and as all kinds of entertainment from LCD TVs, tabletop games to video games.
When we got there, several kids looked our way before going back to what they were doing.
The room was quite large, as large as the dining hall and had 8 TV's with cabinets filled with games and movies next to it. In the stand below it were videogame consoles of various types. In front of every TV were three sofas that could hold us but considering boys, there would be extra space since they usually choose to sit on the ground.
We walk over and start to rummage on the game section.
We found three games to play. The boys chose Super Monk fighters, think street fighters but more monks and less graphic attacks and gore. The girls choose a girly game, Pet Kingdom: Tamers’ Cute Paradise. I was against this because I felt that it would directly insult my favorite skill.
The last game was chosen by mine. Monster Kart Wars: Battle for the Throne, yep mario bros type kart game made for both gender with all the comedy of seeing a goblin drive a cart while shooting a cartoon like rocket at an ice troll and getting away with it.
Obviously I won out on the game choice for finding this genius game among the rest.
Unlike mario bros, this one had monsters as the choices. Goblin, hob, ogre, orc, warchief orc, slime, werewolf and so on. The first to play was me, Asher, Owen and Stephanie.
Asher went with skeleton, Owen with Imp, Stephanie went with sapling, infant treant, and I went with slime.
Let me say this game is somewhat VR. Our mind doesn't go in but the control of the monster is based on our mind, and the game displayed on a large LCD TV.
The control differs from game to game and this one uses a crystal ball that we use to connect to the game.
When I choose the slime the others began to chuckle. The slime I choose was the regular slime.
Each race begins in different places and must develop a cart of its own from what it can get from the natural environment. That is why the others laughed. The slimes don't have hands but no one knows how to work them correctly as I do.
That is why I grinned back and choose it when I see it.
When we all started we each appeared in areas near each other but with our own races. We needed to quickly build a crew to build it or do so ourselves.
The others got busy quick but I did something totally different from them. I jumped on a nearby slime and drove my slime into its inside until I extracted the nucleus and merge it. The message of gaining intelligence appears.
The others were totally shocked. I continued doing that until finally the gel slime rank up happened.
With a small green bubble body now I thought of the mimicry i wanted. It was simple really. In the front side i made two bubble of slime and hardened it. I do the same for the back. The slime was now made of five bubbles. I then had it build an axis between the two slime wheels in the front and back before making one more axis connecting those, making an H-shape.
I compressed: all of it but leave a small space between the axis and wheel so it could roll.
With the new axis, the slimes body was finally lifted off the ground and the remaining slime I had overlaps the new structure in an aerodynamic way.
When I was finished I let out a sigh and look back only to find everyone staring. Not only from my group but those from the others who crowded around.
'What?' I asked with a confused look.
'Kuroko...how do...you know how to do that?' Stephanie asked.
'Well gel slimes knows mimicry and can shape itself into any inanimate object as well as make simple structures with its body if taught.' I said with a matter of fact expression as if it was common.
Obviously this is known only to the researchers and higher ups of the tamer guild and me who’s the one who found it, but i didn't know that.
While everyone was stunned the carts for the others were getting built slowly.
'You guys should get working. You still need to decide who’ll be the second place' I said and grinned. 'Stephanie when I win, you have to let me pet you.' I said as my grin gets bigger.
As soon as Stephanie saw that dangerous glint in my eye and a grin as devilish as her own the realization of what I said finally hit her.
Sweat quickly covered her body and she began to work harder but I turned as I finally gave the order.
The four wheels began to roll and slowly accelerate. Obviously this was a prototype so I quickly start making adjustments. The wheels became like real wheel’s shape, the way it connected and what rolls the wheel. The large amount of slime spinning in the body started working rapidly , abiding my commands ,and soon I was up to 30 km/h and building up as I went.
The starting line was about one kilometer away from the starting zone and as soon as the first one to pass the line, the race begins.
I could hear the spectator saying that it's amusing to see a slime move so fast. Being such a slow race it's strange when a fast one appears. At that moment I had the slime make grooves in the wheel ,and when done, instantly the speed picked up to 40 km/h.
It was like changing gears. As I pass the starting line, the big START appeared on the screen. Then I took a look at the map which showed the 50 km race track through the dirt and asphalted roads. Several areas were highlighted which showed a place where a monster would live in.
I then looked at the others and saw that Stephanie was just about to finish ,and when the seedling’s roots wraps around the wooden cart, becoming a part of its body.The wheels began to spin violently and she blasted off racing at full blast.
Seeing her speed, she was easily 80km/h and like me, she was fixing things up as she slowly gained more speed.
For me though, I need to be creative and make a lot of things with the slimes body, so it is taking lots of planning but I already have a base for the next upgrade.
‘Kuroko~~! When I win, you will be my petting toy for the next year without complains.’ Stephanie said with devilish grin.
‘Then that is the bet. The one who loses between us two will be the petting toy of the other, for a year without complain.’ I said with a grin just as devilish as her.
I was already two kilometers ahead but because i was still in the middle of improvements, she was catching up quickly.
‘Heh, I knew a slime wouldn’t win, even with this strange form they are still as slow.’ I heard someone say behind me which kind of pissed me off.

I could see Stephanie was getting to catch up with me while the other two had just finished and were starting to blast off.
As I make a turn, the windy track entered a forest path that was mostly straight.
At that time i had an idea which some would call a bitch move but who cares, it’s a monster race as well as a mario kart game, so 1 bitch move or 2 wouldn’t make a difference right?.
Since the trees had many low hanging branches, I manipulated the slime on the top of the kart to make a whip like tentacle then makes it whip the branches having them fall in the way to obstruct the others behind.
I could hear laughters boom from the spectators behind me.
‘THERE YOU GO! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!!’ Someone shouted which made everyone laugh. It seems this game is really popular because of this.
Even while doing this the sapling still kept coming through the branches and approached.
‘Fufufu, don’t think a few branches will stop me. My cart and even my monster is made of nature.’ Stephanie said with a grin. ‘Guess it’s time to get ahead. Bye bye my huggy.’ She said with a smug look and pulled her right hand back and loaded it with mana before touching the controller.
Instantly her cart reacted and changed a bit. The front got thinner and the back wheels grew bigger and her speed finally surpassed the hundreds.
She rocketed past me and was rapidly building a gap.
‘Guess I can’t keep playing around. For my future hug pillow and my safety, I better start getting serious. ’ I said and my grin turns into a serious one.
'Let's.' I said.Pimp my ride! Baby!!!’ I shouted as my grin grow wider
The others were shocked hearing me say that. A lot of them weren’t believing me but soon it happened.
‘Hey look, the slime is acting weird.’ Someone shouted and pointed.
Everyone focused on the slime. What was happening was simple. I was improving the design.
The slime cover rose up to allow the axis to be changed. The body stretched and the front axis became smaller but the wheels grew a bit and became bulkier. The rear axis spread out more and suddenly the wheels inflated heavily while gaining a mass of grooves that you find in farm tractors and such. The slime kart’s main body covered the axis again and took a sleek form and formed a fake exhaust just for show.

‘Time for some serious racing...’ I said as I lifted my right hand and loaded it with my mana, before placing it on the crystal controller.
At once the back wheels spun violently and the slime blasted off with the sudden speed boost. While Stephanie’s seedling kart was just reaching around 100km/h, with the current form the slime was easily at 120km/h.
The room we were in was completely silent as I once again broke another world shaking “Truth” about the slime’s so called “weak status”.
Still it wasn’t the end. We had just crossed the 10 km mark and entered the habitat of black wolves. If they block the roads it would be bad but if it's a simple blockade then I had a way to get around them.
With me gaining more speed. I could see cold sweat dripping from Stephanie’s forehead, but just then the wolves appeared. Jumping out of the bushes up ahead they started to block the road.
I quickly began to build the addition I had planned. While I did that, Stephanie loaded some more mana and pushed forward.
This time though it was for an attack.
Several thorny vines moved around and it suddenly whipped far in the front the wolves making an opening she capitalized on and passed leaving me behind...or did she?~
When I was about 5 meters from them I activated my trap card *ehem* I mean my new trick. From below the slime I had condensed four pillars of slime in its body. At once the slime slams them down with mana I fed it and its body flies upwards 3 meters crossing the blockade. To keep the slime from getting damaged, I made the slime transform into a ball again which as soon as it lands it bounced twice before turning it back into its tractor form and blast off again.
I was laughing so hard when that worked perfectly but everyone was just quiet and watching my beyond-belief show.
The reason is because everything I do here is possible in real life. The game was built with the bases of this world's monsters that were researched enough to appear here.
Near the back Asher was riding his hell kart made by the bones of the undead and brought to life by his skeletons own soul flames. The cart drained the life around it to feed the kart. The scary thing is that this cart was very fast. The downside is that it’s hard building it since you need to kill the skeletons and then build.
As for Imps, in Owen’s case, he was like the goblins and worked together. What was built was made from some demon bugs and skeletons that live around the imps camp.
For them as well it took a while and they got scary results. They killed the skeletons and used their bones for the frames holding it together with magic while for the bugs they used the carapace for the outer plate and even the wheel. The final design was a bug like kart...it was literally in many ways, buggy.
Both of these ran on mana but only on small amount. Both seem to have a cheat like mana drain skill but then, what do you expect from undead and demons. Normal monsters can work quick but gets results while improving yet cheat monsters like demons and undead get instant results.
I bet the backdraw is the mana required which is from the life drained around them.
Still they were far behind, nearly 3 km because of the time it took to build it but because of the speed they were in their way catching up.
‘Hey, Owen, the girls bets about the petting thing but what about us? What do we bet on?.’ Asher asked suddenly.
A bad premonition passed to us when we heard him say that.
‘Let’s make a bet between boys and girls. Lets see...this is for first place. Depending on who wins, the losers will have to do intense training with Belladona-sensei.’ he said grinning but I instantly turned white as a pale ghost, which is saying something.
WHAT IS THIS IDIOT SAYING!!! WHAT I TRAIN IS ONLY AT 10% INTENSITY!!!! SHE TOLD ME SO IF SHE DID INTENSE TRAINING I WILL DIE!!!!!!!
‘You guys will be dead because of that! I will show you exactly what a serious amazon trainer is like!’ I said dead serious.
I lift my right hand and load more mana and pump it in.
At once the slime shifted to next gear and quickly surpassed Stephanie leaving behind a cloud of dust from its stampede for my survival.
‘Haha! Eat my dust!’ I shouted as I went ahead from Stephanie
‘LIKE HELL I WILL LOSE!!’ Stephanie shouted and pumped more mana in.
‘Let’s not be left behind!’ Asher said next and for the first time pushed in mana. The blue soul flames on his kart blared and the speed picked up while killing off all life.
If you watched ghost rider then imagine that with a small cart.
‘Don’t forget me. I won’t be last place’ Owen said and was the last to push in mana. Like Asher flames erupted by from the exhaust as mana was pumped in. When the two of them reached the blockade, the poor wolves could do nothing but be turned into cannon fodder to the skeleton and demon that ran them over without mercy.
