Hi, my name is John Smith, just some average guy. I'm just as average as any of you. Well, mostly average. I have unique ability. I don't sleep.
Yes, when you lay in your bed and are deep in your dreams I stay awake, not tired, always awake. My strange ability started on day like any other. I remember it clearly. I was just born, in my mothers arms and she was whispering to me: "Sleep, my sweet John", and I was like: "Hell no, I won't sleep as long as I live", and that was that. I don't sleep, period.
You may think that it is awesome be full insomnia but without nasty side effects such as, I don't know, DEATH, but I assure you, sometimes I wished I was dead so I could experience sleep and dreams.
Well I had fun with my ability because I could do my homework without problems, working part-time double shifts and still have time for hanging out with my friends. I admit it, it has its uses.
When my mom Jessica and my father Bob figured that I don't sleep they were at first scared that I would die and they asked for medical help. Doctors in the maternity couldn't find anything wrong with me and they prescribed me some medicines for insomnia, triple dosage, but to me they were like candies, I was even more hyped up and full of energy. They predicted that I would live at most one week. I live almost 18 years.

My parents accepted my strange condition and even used me like watchdog, personal 24/7 house keep and living alarm (they both sleep like a logs, I mean you can hit them with a log and they wont wake up).
My condition has another strange evolutionary trait. I can see in the dark just like at day, full color, HD resolution. Sometimes I feel that I was engineered to work without stop, like a machine. But I'm too lazy to think too deep about that.
