Valery smiled in appreciation of her birthday present and as she left the store.
Sir Bertus and Henry happy her again for her birthday before returning to work.
"Have a Happy Birthday" they both shouted as the carriage drove back to the residence, in the back of which there were several things she had purchased.
Valery's eyes did not leave the young boy in front of her.
"What do you want me to call you, shall I give you a new name or keep yours?
Valery said this jokingly, as she wanted to get his attention, but there was no change, he just looked at her but at the same time seemed not to be looking at her. His gaze was on nothing.
"Victor, that's a nice name. You know, I knew a doctor named Victor a long time ago. I haven't seen him in a long time, but according to what Sir Bertus told me, Doctor Victor must be doing well and is living in a bigger city".
"Yes, I don't know if you know but vampires can get sick..."
Valery did not stop and continued to talk all the way. Adelaide didn't mind, she knew Valery well enough to know that if she wanted to she could talk faster and faster but since Victor is human she was kind enough to speak slowly.
The one who did get surprised was the coachman, Valery has always been quiet and doesn't talk much on the road. She usually enjoys the view and prefers to talk in the house.
It was a beautiful discovery for Frank, but that joy would dissipate in the next few days. His patience would be stretched to the limit in the near future.
Upon arriving at the residence, the small mansion could be seen from the outside.
The small mansion was a one-story building. Even though it is a one-story building, its size is quite large and takes advantage of all the space.

Its largest space is the back garden, which has a beautiful functional fountain. There are many flowers and trees around the garden, all transplanted from the old Redleaves territory.
They are trees with red leaves and black trunks that appear to be dry and almost dead. The flowers were common flowers just to fill the space.
Eventually the soil would recover and the garden would be re-sodded, but it is taking a long time due to the indirect sun that is checking. This could be accelerated by buying sod and transplanting it. But Valery prefers to feel the time pass with the changes.
The small mansion was built with polished stone, creating a gothic style.
The mansion is Valery's personal home. The idea was to have this small home for her, so that when her parents returned in the mountain peak a large castle would be built.
It seems that this great castle will now be her duty to design and build it, so that she can take full control as the Baron of Redleaves.
"Adelaide contact a Great master builder, so that he can advise me on how to build my castle," said Valery as she looked up at the mountain peak.
Adelaide looked up at the mountain peak and her gaze became serious.
"Miss if you want to delay one more year..."
"No" said Adelaide forcefully "It's time to accept it, when I return from the academy I will be the Baroness of Redleaves."
Her smile, though sad, had determined eyes.
"Yes my lady I will invite the best Great master builder to advise and guide you."
Valery nodded, before turning her gaze to Victor.
"Come on, let's go inside to give you a room" Valery didn't wait for his answer, she didn't expect him to answer either.
She took his hand and led him through the small mansion, into a room close to her own. As she entered, she could see the dining room, and to the right of the dining room there was a corridor where other rooms were located and at the end of that corridor there was a storage room.
At the front of the dining room there was a large door leading directly to the garden where the day before Valery was sitting watching the moon.
To the left was Valery's large room in the shape of a half circle with a large window covered with curtains decorated in a shade of red and a leaf design.
Entering the right corridor, there is an occupied room which belongs to Adelaide, there is another room, which would be for Valery's parents, and it is full of their things.
So the third room, although smaller than the other two rooms, is still the perfect size for someone to live in.
"What do you think?"
Victor of course didn't answer.
"It has its own bathroom and well, it has its own coffin. Wait you... you can't sleep in a coffin, sure you could but I don't know if you would feel comfortable" Valery looked at Adelaide again 'You can get a craftsman to make... emmm a bed'.
"Yes my lady."
"Also a couple of comfortable garments. Shall I get him a suit to wear to the academy?"
"First you should check if you can take humans to the academy and yes, I will get him everything else. I'll also go get the updated academy rules and regulations."
"You can stay here while I go to work... bye..." Valery said goodbye as he closed the door.
Victor said nothing
Valery opened the door again and he was standing there in the same place. She closed the door and did the same action.
"We can still take him back."
"What? No, I'm sure in time it will get better" She nodded before heading to her office. Which was just across the hallway.
The warehouse looks like a wine cellar.
Arriving at her office she sat down and re-filed the few papers she had left yesterday, reading them all carefully, and signing them if she had to sign them. Approving or rejecting documents if that is the case.
