David flew above the Serbian he had to recheck every single outpost he visited, but found no news of the vampire hunter, a thought then daunted into his head that he may have took a different route, he shifted his flight route from the city of Novi Sad to the plains of Kikinda, but as he continued flying, he felt exhausted, the hunt for the hunter has taken its toll on him ,and he had to rest, he landed in the town of Ada, just west of Kikinda.
Ada was a town of no significance to the vampires, it was just another human settlement in the Tisa river, not big enough to be used as a stronghold or a guarding station, as such it was merely a stopping location for vampires and werewolves to snack while travelling, such was the intention of David, he hid in the shadows as the sun started to rise, the sun is nothing dangerous to a vampire, but its light is strong to their eyes, and a strong sun can cause their skin to start peeling, it was like being a very pale human, annoying but never lethal.
As David stalked passing humans going on with their daily frightened lives, he contemplated the nature of humans as he observed them buying meat from the butcher, how before the rise of Dracula they would treat vampires as monsters for drinking blood, while they themselves eat animal flesh, granted they would cook it before eating it, but that felt inefficient as it wasted good blood and hypocritical, why would consumption of human flesh be horrifying to them? Afterall, vampires do not care from where the blood and flesh they desire comes from, David admits to himself that he would have drank vampire blood had it tasted good, unfortunately it is not. When Dracula came David was an outcast of his people, human lovers who would subside on the blood of animals and the food of humans, David always desired human blood, he killed for it, yet even though vampire hunters were not around to punish him, his kind would turn against him, ready to kill one of their own, yet they preached kindness to those they held dear to them, those who gave them no benefits, this is why David had no care for other vampires but Dracula and Felicia, Dracula promised his followers freedom and provided, and Felicia introduced him to pleasure and strengthened him, these two were the ones David felt he can care for, they benefited him, and so he benefits them.
While David his lost in his thoughts, a streak of opportunity rose to him, he saw a cloaked man walking in the middle of the street, as the cloaked man went to buy some food from the market, David noticed on his right side what looked like a whip.
It was him! The vampire hunter!
David blessed his luck but then cursed it, for he holds no power to send a message to Felicia nor the power to fight even a normal human, he started planning to kill the vampire hunter, but first he had to drink, David noticed that there was a small brothel in the town, and an idea came to him.
He stole a purse of Serbian dinars, he then went to the brothel, which was closed, he knocked on the door, and an annoyed looking woman came.

“The brothel is closed! Come back at….” The woman’s annoyance faded as she saw one of the most handsome men she had ever encountered, David used whatever was left of his power to morph his face into that of a handsome human.
He handed her the purse and said “if the beautiful lady could spare me some of her time, I wish a night of pleasure, you see I was betrayed by my lover, who left me for another man, and I only wish to feel companionship once more”
He gave his saddest face, the woman gave him a sympathetic look at told him, “come in, I will help cure you of your heartache”.
Her screams of pleasure were not heard, as David muffled the room so that no one can hear their session of love making, nor could they hear when the screams turned into screams of terror as he ravishes her with his fang and claws, sucking the blood out of her until he could breathe no more.
Rejuvenated, he used his powers to muffle the walls of the brothel, then he proceeded to rape and murder all brothel the girls that were in the brothel at the time, then he misted out of the brothel door and placed a sign on the front that read “closed for a week”.
Now David is ready, he would use his strength to cause the tavern the vampire hunter was staying at to collapse on him, he would then set it ablaze, in case the vampire hunter survived that, he would then give a call to Felicia to bring her forces so that they can be rid of the great threat of the hunter.
As night fell, David checked to see if the vampire hunter was in the building, he was, drinking water? In a tavern? Well, it seems that this hunter is a religious person, that did not matter to David, no prayer would save him he thought, and so the plan went ahead, he caused weaknesses in the pillars of the tavern before, now he crushed them, and the building fell, he then spat a fireball and a big fire erupted, much to the distress of the townsfolk of Ada.
David flew in the air to send a message to Felicia to come, but as soon he transformed, a whip came flying on him, spiked with bronze, David shrieked in pain, how could it be? There is no way a human can survive burning alive!
And then he saw him, his green eyes glaring at him, his muscular form towering closer as he is dragged into the fire by the whip, the vampire hunter lives.
He seems to have created an odd-looking glass bubble around him, a shield? some of the people in the tavern were in it, while others were burning.
David turned to mist to escape the whip, he managed to do it, he uses the current of the wind to drive him away, he must get his message to Felicia.
He runs through the streets of Ada, shoving humans on the side, he dodged a knife that only managed to graze his left ear, the vampire hunter is behind him! David crushed a wall to make an obstacle, he then turn into a bat and flew high in the sky, he used his power to shout.
“HE’S COMING! THE VAMPIRE HUNT…”, David’s voice could not come out, an axe flew into his mouth, splitting him in two, in a moment his vision faded, he lost consciousness, there is no mistaking it, David was dead!
He plummeted on the floor, his lifeless body lying there, a townsman came with a torch to burn him, but Simon stopped him.
“let the earth claim him” he said, “let his grave be his torment, until he finally faces God for all of his crimes”.
The towns people carried David’s body and threw it in a hastily made hole, with no tombstone, the fate of the vampire would send chills to the minions of Dracula and hope to the townsfolk of Ada.
