That was weird. Shizuka thought, looking back at the incident with the saucy girl. I could use that for my characters, she pondered silently as she walked into the library just off campus. The nearness of the library (along with Mary’s influence), was the main reason Shizuka chose the college she’s in.
“Hi Shizu,” A pretty lady that seemed to be in her late twenties greeted Shizuka quietly, “a study space? Let me show you the open one.” The lady stepped out from behind the front desk, her jet-black tipped with a beautiful turquoise color.
“Thanks Willow,” Shizuka smiled sheepishly as people eyed her and Willow passing by. As she sat down in the small space that was just big enough for just about four people, Willow went back to the front. Shizuka started to spread out her stuff, first laptop, then paper and notebook, next pencils and pens, and finally, her phone at her side in case of Mary emergencies. She sighed before starting to work.

“Imma be at the library if you need me.” Adam got up off the couch to head that way.
“On or off campus?” Eric said, not making eye contact.
“Off,” Adam answered.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“Alright, at least be back by dark,” Eric said distantly.
“Okay mom, Adam imitated a young boy as he walked out of the door. He walked to the library, which was a solid fifteen minutes away.
Good thing there’s nobody out… He thought with a small sigh of relief.
Once getting to the library a sense of security washed over him.
“Excuse me, is there a study room open?” He asked a girl with intricately colored hair.
“Oh sorry. There are none ‘fully’ open. But you could share with someone if needed,” she responded.
“If that’s fine with them I’d like to,” He said with a slightly awkward tone.
“If you would hold on just a moment please,” and with that, the woman speedwalked off.

“Shizu!” Willow rushed towards Shizuka’s cubicle, loudly whispering. “I forgot to ask… Are you sharing today?”
“Whatever’s fine,” she replied, barely paying attention.
“Alrighty,” Willow smirked, knowing exactly what to do. She walked back up to the front desk calmly, humming a light tune.
“Right this way please.” She said to the boy, tall and well built with curly, almost chocolate colored hair. A boy you could easily envision playing a sport to his heart’s content on a warm spring day.
Willow checked occasionally on him to see if he was following, he was simply looking around, a light, relaxed expression adorning his face.
