THE RED Mustang GT cruised inside the open car park compound of the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center. Reeves scrutinized over at the two security guards who were patrolling in the compound in that slight drizzling night—and further down, he spotted a few more armed guards at the main door entrance. Joe spoke up, "should we park in or out?" Reeves looked above at the thunder rumbling in the inclement skies.
"Let's park in."
The car passed into an underground car park. The Wesleyan duo then headed to the elevator. Reeves was carrying an old duffel bag. They both got off the elevator, Reeves spotted an electronic clock in the hospital ER lobby, displaying its digital numbers—9:57 p.m.
The two slovenly dressed Intersexuals walked among the busy stream of civilians, staff and security officers in the emergency area. Reeves reminded his accomplice buddy. "Joe, don't be jumpy, just act normal—we gotta now find where the coma wards are."
"Let's ask the reception," Joe responded nonchalantly, turning over and looking at the pretty nurses passing. "Bad idea, it is now after visiting hours and it will arouse suspicion." Reeves pointed at the CCTV camera above...
"We have to avoid that too."
It was just like he how had done many times in the past at the old wing of Wesleyan—to reach the old wall undetected to come to his secret place—so to be alone to do his thinking.
**
They both wandered outside the nurses' locker room, Reeves noticed two laundry trolleys—a group of female nurses dropped their dirty uniform into it after their ward duties—they were now wearing their civilian clothing on their way home. Reeves pushed one of the trolleys into a maintenance storeroom while Joe kept a look-out...
Inside the broom closet, Reeves rummage into the uniforms bin. "Joe, quick now find something your size." The red-haired youth vacillated. "You got to be kidding me, I got to fucking wear those? Why?"
"Just do it, Joe—and be fast!"
Joe picked a nurse's uniform and sniffed it in disgust, making funny faces. "Even their sweat smells like medicine." Reeves was now dressed as a nurse and turned to Joe who fitted into one. "It is tight, Reeves. I can't find my size, is it okay? I feel my man-boobs are showing, dude." The red-headed was being over-conscious, and it nettled Reeves...
"It is fine—just hurry up, man!"
Reeves unzipped the old duffel bag and pulled out Mrs Howdy's wigs and tossed one towards Joe. "You be the brunette." The dark-haired Reeves placed on a blond wig on his crown and tied it back into a ponytail like how Marlin does.
Joe who was observing him, he started tantalizing... "Damn bitch, you look hot, Eve—come over and swish around a little for me!"
"Fuck you!"
**
A moment later, the broom closet door opened with Joe peeked out. The two Intersexuals posed as female nurses stepped out and blended among the crowd in the lobby; Reeves and Joe wore light cosmetic makeup to make their Intersexual faces presentable.
Unsuspicious to the crowd, the duo then secretly disappeared behind a fire escape door, heading one floor up into and reached the administration department. The floor was deserted and dark after office hours. They explore the corridor and saw a lighted office room, read an engraved sign was on the door—'night auditor.'
An older woman was working alone on a laptop in the office room. Both the Wesleyans were crouching outside and Reeves whispered instructions to Joe, "stay here and you be quiet..." After Reeves left, Joe the 'bug' spotted a snack vending machine and he crept over to it...
Reeves sneaked inside from the door and he rushed and struck the woman's neck; she dropped sprawled on the floor. Joe then entered the room with a with half-peeled wrapper candy bar protruding off his mouth. Immediately, Reeves searched into the woman's laptop...
"Joe, tie her up!"
Joe lifted both her woman's legs and dragged her away like a horse-cart—the one-piece dress that the cataleptic woman wore peeled off her body from the opposite friction of the flooring carpet—ended up with the night auditor now in her underclothing. Joe began chuckling out at his own unanticipated antics and Reeves turned to shush him. Joe spotted his whimsical effort with the half-naked woman behind, he laughed aloud...
"Bro, check out the MILF!"
"Joe, what the fuck are you doing?"
Reeves regretted bringing his infantile buddy along; who was someone who cannot follow simple instructions—he regretted for not leaving Joe behind the wheels of the Mustang alone in the car park basement—any fuckups at this point may get both of them either captured or killed...
Joe then ripped the woman's dress into shreds with office scissors and he used the strips of the clothing, he bounded her arms and feet and also gagged her. Reeves finally stumbled upon the hospital floor plan on the laptop...
He located the coma ward which was on the eighth floor...
*
In one of the private wardrooms on the 8th floor, Roberta sat beside her sister. She was testing the tracker transmitter in the Mimi pendent—the transponder beeped with a static 'green dot' on the tiny screen.
Roberta stood up and kissed Laura's forehead and left the isolated coma ward.
*
Reeves and Joe stepped out an elevator on the eighth floor and walked past the hospice that shared the same floor with the coma wards. He noticed something was not right with Joe's ambulatory movement beside him.
"Hey, stop walking like a Sasquatch! Walk normal, will you?"
"How do I walk like a chic, dude—my nuts are getting in the way?"
Reeves looked up and noticed some staff coming over from the opposite direction—he mumbled some precaution so that Joe will not act whimsically which can blow their cover...
"There are some people coming, Joe—just act normal for once, please..."
Two women doctors were reaching—they passed by and saw Joe walking with a sway like of a catwalk model in the flesh-tight uniform. A butch doctor turned back, blew a wolf whistle and said. "She is quite a big girl," before the doctors both laughed.
Nearing the corner of the hall, the vexed Reeves punched Joe's arm...
"Ouch! Hey!"
"Stop with your overacting, you moron! You are drawing attention, and we will get busted!"
He had given him black eyes on a few occasions in the past—but was controlling himself from not strike the fat glib today—he has to stay focused for both of them...
*
Roberta Jensen stepped into a waiting elevator that took her down to the lower ground—while the door closed, Reeves and Joe came from the bend into the coma patient ward. Joe asked in levity...
"What are we looking for, bro?"
"Any woman, aged between her late 20's or maybe 30's who goes by the first name of either Laura or Mimi Jensen in their bedside file?"
"Why Mimi?"
That was the same name again that he had heard in Reeves' conversation earlier with Troy—but Joe did not get an answer than when he asked about it at the lake-house...
Joe knew that Reeves had become a private person the moment the Wesleyan boys ended up in Tombscradle—ever since their schism, they both then lived separate lives and their friendship further strained while in prison. Reeves does not share information as he used to from the old days in school—even at the lake-house, he felt Reeves has still held mistrust and shown some resentments on him for not agreeing in the past for not escaping from the University.
Reeves was getting tensed at that moment but finally, he shared the details with Joe with some irritation—recalling the mnemonics he had to employ to remember details when he was admitted for chicken-pox...
"Yeah, I too first heard that from the nurses mentioning that name Mimi in the infirmary in Tombscradle—and when Troy hacked the database in the Washington hospital, he found out that Laura was now registered as Mimi Jensen who was then transferred for some treatment here in LA—now, don't ask me why that name, I seriously don't know...
"Now will you just shut the fuck up and follow me!"
They opened the first coma wardroom door; it was a woman in her sixties. Joe peeked over Reeves' shoulder and he went back to his normal flippant self and he bantered with drivels. "Could your grandma be in a coma too?"
"Just wait and see, you fat-ass; someday when we go searching for your own family members, I will have the last laugh then after finding some redneck fucktards-inbreeds who are related to you." He heard Joe retort in hilarity—mentioning the same response he had heard years ago than at the Stuyvesant Hall balcony, facing the Wesleyan University's wall...
"Nah, that can be; have you forgotten, bro—that I am just an orphan?"
*
Roberta stood at the lobby gazing out the glass panels at the heavy pelting rainstorm outside at the open car park. She did not want to get wet in the tempest—so she sat at the waiting area in the concourse and picked up a magazine. She glanced up to a loud thunder outside the glassed panels—and then saw the digital clock at the reception area, reminding herself—10:28p.m. She has some time to linger until the rain ceased, before driving back to LAX to check into her flight back to Washington at 1:00 a.m.
*
The Intersexual duo in the nurses' uniforms continued to check room by room—they entered a room of a thirty-year-old coma patient—Joe looked at her name in the flip chart and called out. "It says Denise Baker—let's go, man" —but Reeves hesitated...
"She got dark hair like me—who knows Mimi Jensen might be registered by that name? We have to be sure before we pass her up..."
"Look at her, man, it is not her—she is too good looking for being a coma salad—let's go, Reeves, we got dozens of other rooms to cover."
Reeves realized that he was growing to be distrustful of his own instincts—Joe was correct about the woman in front of him—Denise Baker looked like she has recently gone into a coma, while Mimi/Laura have been in a coma for a very long time after a car crash during the Medusa migration; according to her report that Troy dug up...
Reeves now felt relieved that daffy Joe's presence was someway helping him to think straight...
*
The elevator door opened on the first floor and a female security guard started to do her night rounds on the dark corridor—she then investigated a muffled sound before she stumbled into the half-naked night auditor being tied up. The guard alerted the control-room on her radio...
*
Joe opened the next door and saw a black coma patient and resorted to scorn...
"Wrong colour—hey, by the way, she looks like our thick lips Zinga, it is probably his sister!" he chuckled aloud and started to put on a nonsensical wigger act...
"Hey yo, Boo-sister, you want some ganja?"
Joe was laughing hard at his own ersatz accent—and he noticed that Reeves was looking more troubled, and was not amused by his hilarity like he sometimes does...
"You okay, Mon?"
"Joe, we are approaching the last few rooms; and what if Laura is not in any of them?"
Joe tapped the harrowing Reeves's back.
"Let's look around first—and worry about that later, come on, bro."
They open another room door and stepped in; there on the bed was Laura, there is no flip chart by the bed and Joe searched around...
"Where is her file, man?"
Reeves moved closer to the patient, quietly scrutinizing her sleeping visage. Joe approached the side table and spotted a photo frame of the twelve-year-old Laura and her nine-year-old sister. Joe picked up the frame, and his face lit up into old verisimilitude memories...
"She looks just like you when you were in the Wesleyan."
Reeve's eyes have welled with tears...
"Yeah...see this, Joe," Reeves held the pendant that was engraved 'Mimi' on the emaciated patient's neck...
"Yes Joe, this is really my mother."
Joe came and bear-hugged Reeves from the back, they both were laughing joyously, looking down at the sleeping Laura Jensen.
Joe uttered nonsense while laughing out at the semblance of Reeves' kindred...
"Look at her, man—it is good to know that she is not a spic after all!"
At times, Joe unthinkingly blurted out insensible matters that were gossiped among the idle minded Wesleyans in the prison yard who loved to slag—things like how the white-looking Reeves was segregated from the rest of them as a half-Hispanic in the school gym—and one of their frivolous testosterone-driven sex-topics was on who was his Hispanic parents—and they also bantered about his mother's alleged sex partners that spawned other 'Mexi-cracker' like Reeves during the Medusa days.
Back then also, the Wesleyans white-gang hated the unjust in Tombscradle with Warden Graves always siding the Latinos faction—so technically, they hated Reeves too—especially the badmouthing Kiki-boy.
*
The heavy rain was still pouring hard; Roberta was still in the sitting area, flipping pages of an auto magazine. She glanced up at the clock again—10:51p.m. She had her nicotine urges again despite she just smoked a few minutes ago. There was a tumult up ahead at the ER reception area near the lobby; Roberta spotted a group of guards gathering up and they looked troubled. She dropped the magazine on the couch and went over and intercepted them—flashed her authority badge to the head of the guard and she broached...
"What is going on here?"
"Sir, someone attacked our night auditor. The security cameras footages showed two nurses have robbed her and they tied her up."
Roberta was slightly amused when she heard that, and gave a sequacious order to the uniformed guard. "Unbelievable, the things you people do these days when the economy goes sideways...quick, go and call the local PD now."
The off duty e-SWAT captain sighed, and she walked away back to the segregated smoking room and took out her transponder and she switched it on to double-check—after obediently following the hospital rules of turning off all communication devices while visiting the vicinity—the small device was now beeped frantically—the green dot was moving on the display screen, the cigarette fell off her lips...
"Oh fuck!"
She scurried in panic towards the lobby elevators and hit the up button...
*
Reeves carted the comatose Laura on a wheelchair in the corridor while Joe who was ahead, and he suppressed the down-button of the elevator...
Reeves saw an elevator ascending by the blinking number display above the door...
*
Roberta's tracker concocting device was still beeped out when she passed through floors in the moving elevator. She pulled out her trusted .44 Magnum from her black leather jacket and removed the safety.
*
The two ex-Wesleyans waited for the elevator car on the eighth floor. Reeves nervously looked at the ascending numbers on the display while his quivering fingers stroked Laura's hair. The car was on the fifth floor and kept soaring—Reeves felt not at ease and saw his own hands were now slightly trembling, his gut feeling was alarming hard...
'It is too easy...'
He turned towards Joe...
"Let's not take the elevator."
"How then?" Joe glanced at the stationary wheelchair with Laura, and he then heard Reeves shaky voice giving him a new instruction...
"We take the stairs!"
The fire escape door closed up concurrently with the elevator door gaping open with a ding chime. Roberta rushed out training the hand-cannon around left to right on the eighth floor before dashing into the isolated coma ward corridor—the cop ran passed as the stairwell emergency door closed completely...
*
Joe came down ahead with the foldable wheelchair, Reeves followed, cradling Laura in his arms, taking careful steps down the stairs. They have six floors to descend to reach the lobby.

Roberta kicked the door open, rushed in with her pointing gun to face her worst awaken nightmare, a gut feeling which she had anticipated since her last career promotion—today, she finally conceded the reality of an empty bed with her sister being abducted—she recalled to something her wife had accused some months ago and calling her being paranoid then.
It made her shriek in seismic rage and she kicked the footboard of the bed; Roberta kept peering at the beeping tracking device in her other hand—the green dot was still moving, Roberta raced out of the room...
The abductor had even taken Laura's photo-frame—leaving no trace of any fingerprints of the perpetrator if they had touched it—but Roberta felt a sense of respite during that imperil moment that Laura was still alive, and the perpetrator was still moving her around in the vicinity. Roberta needed to be critically temporal to anticipate the situation fast—and get Laura out of harm's way—before obliterating whoever responsible mercilessly...
'Whoever they are—they are definitely going to die tonight!'
**
A parked Range Rover SUV was dripping wet on the dry floor of the underground car park of Cedar-Sinai Medical Center—Vishon dragged the tied up Troy out of the passenger's door side of the vehicle and he hauled him to the back of the car where the still unconscious True Bob was reclined with a bleeding turgid face in the baggage compartment. Vishon struck Troy insensible with the butt of his pistol and hurled him towards True Bob before shutting the door lock.
Vishon noticed that only Zinga and Busta were the ones with their eyes wide open but still locked in their state of mental mirage—while the intoxicated Kujo had cried himself the sleep. Vishon opened the passenger's door towards Zinga and got his attention...
"Zinga, come, Mon—we have to find Jensen!" The Jamaican leader placed his palm on him, feeling Vishon's big lion-like dreadlocks...
"Busta, why is your head so small?"
"It is me Vishon. Come, Zinga, take your gun," he placed a sub-machine gun onto his hand—and next he called his other cohort buddy...
"You too, Busta, come now!" Zinga was pointing at the rain falling hard outside the building exit...
"The Lady of the Lake—she is here, she followed us here..."
*
The duo descended to the third floor down the fire stairs, bringing Laura with them. Reeves turned to Joe and saw him panting behind him...
The disorientated Roberta rushed out of the elevator at the lobby, holding her gun out which frightened the waiting janitor outside—almost pulling the trigger on the Latina because she vaguely resembled Javier Munroe-Diaz—the perpetrator who had raped Laura many years ago...
Roberta kept her gun back into her leather jacket; running towards a small group of security guards at the main lobby—she wanted to see the hospital security CCTV feed at their surveillance room.
*
Joe came out of the fire escape door and he saw a security woman running pass. Reeves followed him, pushing Laura on a wheelchair in the lobby and they both overheard the security guard calling into her walkie-talkie...
"Seal all entrance and elevators especially the car park below." The duo then saw Roberta talking with the head-guard ahead; Reeves heard Joe's remark...
"Oh shit! It is your uncle; we are dead..."
Reeves was wheeling the chair, he turned for a sentient peek at Roberta Jensen in person for the first time from a safe distance—he had seen Roberta once in the 9 o'clock news reports at a hospital bedside interview before she was hailed as the national hero by the media—and also through Kiki-boy's newspaper in Tombscradle. He now understood better of the insider-jokes told behind his back by the Wesleyan boys while in Tombscradle—of them calling Roberta as his 'uncle' who was a butch with a dick-sized clit.
Reeves had always refused to believe that he was a kinfolk from that same Jensen family tree despite all the rumours that have spread on—and many other accusations pointed at him since Tombscradle and right up to the Mojave Desert.
The circumstance of discovering the truth that now his mother was related to that killer cop was driving Reeves to the current state of trepidation...
He has nowhere to run neither from the truth nor safety—he has come this far out and cannot abandon his well-thought abduction mastermind plan now. He then also thought back of the unsettling dream he had earlier on the journey to LA from the lakes—the omen of his own death...
He glanced unsettled at Joe who was walking in similar consternation beside him, "just act normal, Joe; let's find the nearest side exit out." Another security guard was seen distributing photocopies to her colleagues—imprints of images of Reeves and Joe in nurses' uniforms that were captured from the CCTV footage at the admin floor that was on earlier—also on the flier was the image of the sweet-tooth Joe taken while he was stealing candy bars at the vending machine.
*
Vishon has now seated the half awaken Kujo into the driver's side of the SUV, "Kujo, you be here and guard the hostages," he gave him a pistol, "here Mon, hold this—if they try to escape, you kill them."
Kujo was still imbibed—he broke down into tears again...
"Find my penis, Vishon—I don't want to lose my manhood— please find it!" The baffled Vishon nodded back before he led the slavish Zinga and Busta to the car-park building exit.
Busta was calm as he fantasized that he was strolling in the banana plantation belonging to his father back in his village in Jamaica —he looked up to gaze at the azure blue skies with a long-tailed black spiral cloud approaching from above...
At the entrance of the sheltered car-park, Vishon looking out at the pouring rain, Zinga was the first to rush out and got himself wet; he was still in deep hallucination and marked a shape of water bodied transparent woman in nude calling him to follow with her hand gesture...
Zinga grinned widely before prancing in the rain...
"She is here! My woman is here!"
The sober Vishon was astounded by his leader's weird and bleary demeanour —he also realized that Busta behind them was afraid of the pouring rain with his apprehensive eyes fixed on the black rain-clouds above. Vishon called out to him...
"Busta—come quick, Mon!"
*
The duo's luck thrived and found one deserted exit out from the concourse. They approached it; Joe's shaking voice bleated out soft cries of guilt and remorse, "of all the sick-fuck jokes I have told, man, I feel really bad and sorry to say that—of all the Jensens in the world—why are you related to that bitch-cop over there? That cunt is gonna kill you and me now for taking her sister—my million dollar question is that is this worth it, man?"
Reeves did not know what to reply back to the denunciation—because he himself was now in a semi-stoic state of fight-or-flight. He pushed his mother on the wheelchair towards the exit door; at the same time, his darting eyes searched for a safe passage out of danger...
The Wesleyans noticed a lone female security guard outside in the sheltered side-exit that faced the pelting rain from above. Joe passed her, shivering more from fear than of the cold blowing wind. He walked into the pouring rain without an umbrella; Reeves followed him—their nurses' uniforms were soaked. The guard was eccentric when seeing the oblivion woman on the wheelchair getting drenched with the two hospital staffs—then; another guard came hollering at that exit...
"It is those 2 nurses—stop them!"
Reeves studied the ramp path was sloping downwards—he let the wheelchair handles go, and it rolled down. He yelled out...
"Joe—take over!"
Reeves turned back and he attacked both of the incoming security guards—his wig was knocked off. The second female guard tried to grab him from the back, the struggle ripped off the Reeves' nurse uniform top. Reeves brought down both the female guards by slamming their heads hard at the concrete wall.
The shirtless Reeves noticed that two more armed guards were running towards him from the rear, firing shots—and he raced towards Joe who was scrambling ahead with Laura's wheelchair in the pouring rain. Reeves pulled out his pistol from the back of his pants, the guards and Reeves exchanged fire in the downpour.
The female guards backed off and took cover from the Intersexuals' sure hit comeback shots. Joe scurried the wheelchair further into the open car park and heard Reeves' timbre voice bellowing from behind in the tempest...
"Keep going, Joe—I will cover you!"
Roberta Jensen heeded to the gunshots blasted outside the lobby, she rushed out into the heavy flurry with her big Magnum pistol in hand—and spotted Reeves and Joe carting Laura away into the open car-park in the windstorm. Roberta open fire—pursued and started shooting in rage at the armed Reeves.
*
Vishon heard more gunshots up ahead; he turned back to Busta who was still stationary under the shelter of the car park entrance, staring at the dark clouds. The intolerant Vishon yelled at him. "Come now, Mon!"
Busta placed a few hesitant steps into the precipitation but his sight locked nervously at the skies; but in the current state of his mind's eyes, it has disguised the rainy surroundings into blue clear skies where a huge black swamp of the locust was flooding down...
Busta felt that the 'hard raindrops' that struck on his face as pricking stings of the vicious bugs that have now have plastered all over his body—he shrieked out, used his machine gun and was shooting aimlessly above at the imaginary predator bugs...
*
Reeves covered Joe's safety passage by blasting shots at Roberta Jensen— they were halfway across the parking lot, running and passing rows of cars parked in the driving rain heading towards the entrance of the underground car park; unknowing that it was where the Jamaicans were—also wanting to take them out...
Vishon spotted the duel shooters impending forward in the heavy storm...
"It is the two fucking Jensens over there! The fucking killer-cop is here too!"
He alerted Zinga of Roberta Jensen's presence before he sprayed lead from his machine gun at the advancing adversaries; Roberta took cover behind a vehicle and she returned fire...
Reeves, Joe and Laura who were caught in the crossfire—they dived down and the wheelchair toppled; Laura was plunged sideways and she thudded her head on the tarmac—her forehead began bleeding. Joe reached out and pulled both her legs just like he did to the night auditor earlier...
Roberta fired back at the Jamaicans—Zinga who stood out in the open, he saw that Roberta's bullets were hitting the Lady of the Lake...
The translucent aquatic Lady looked for one last time with her helpless eyes at Zinga before she ruptured into a splashing puddle in the heavy rain. Zinga was maddened with taurine rage, and he charged forward shooting his SMG towards Roberta while screaming out loud...
"You Motherfucker—I am going to kill you, bitch!"
Reeves concealed nearby from the blasting Jamaicans, he held on to the bleeding Laura on the ground with her blood sluiced on her face in the rain, Joe crept and reached closer to cohere. The duo was looking petrified of the imminent Jamaican's wrath that was closing in to hunt the cop...
Roberta knew that her Magnum was no match to both Zinga and Vishon's sub-machine guns assault. The butch started crawling in-between the parked cars, windshield glasses shards were dropping along with the pouring rain on to her path...
The crouching Roberta pop opened the trunk of her parked car—and she pulled out two loaded sawn-off 12 gauge shotguns; she clutched a handful of Brenneke red shells and stuffed it into her jacket pocket.
She bit on two shells between her teeth like she used to bite on pebbles when she used to slingshot out of her school bus when she was a revenging child...
It was action time!
Vishon and Zinga went out hunting for the hidden Roberta. The Wesleyan duo too secreted behind a parked vehicle and they viewed the legs of the blacks who were on their stalking pursuit to waste Roberta Jensen—the number one most wanted and hated cop—whom any gangbanger from Tombscradle would want the glory of bagging the decorated prized pig.
Reeves glimpsed at the soaking Laura lying on him and he whispered to his buddy...
"Joe, you got to take Laura back to the car park—I will cover your back..."
"Come on, what are you thinking? They are out there, Reeves!" responded the red-haired who was calcified in terror by the deafening shootings in the cold pouring rain...
Reeves realized that they will be dead next if they remained there...
"Is that the best plan right now, Reeves, to die out here?"
"It is the only one, bro—please trust me, and do it for me."
*
Roberta came out fast and furious from her hiding to counter assault—she fired rounds at the Jamaicans who were nearing close—they retreated behind a parked mini-van—it was a perfect break for Joe who cradled Laura and scuttled away, while Reeves reloaded his pistol while on the run—looking out for Joe, following him from the rear.
Zinga the Bob Marley votary went head-on towards Roberta, blasting his SMG while ululating the lyric repetitiously...
"No woman, no cry, no woman, no cry!"
The cop aimed directly and pumped some vicious bullet hits into him...
The black Intersexual was thrown back with multiple median abdominal bloody punctures—the Jamaican sprawled, sanguinary dead nearby. Vishon stared in disbelief to catch the sight of his leader's bloodied visceral bits, swamping red on the rain puddles.
Roberta grinned ferociously with the two Brenneke slug ammo sticking out from her mouth like a boar. She reloaded more red shells into both the shotguns, she now spry out into action and hunted for the hiding Vishon— the Wesleyan duo escaped with Laura from behind...
The big blond lion-king dreadlocked shemale next came out firing at her—but Roberta was accurate with her blasts towards his head—Vishon was thrown on to a stationary Mazda. He was now a faceless stiff with every structure missing above from his jawbone—broken tresses of his hair locks and fragmented brains were spattered on the car's shattered windscreen.
Roberta took notice of machine-gun shots ahead—she viewed another Jamaican firing into the air—Busta was still combating at his imaginary swarm of locusts. Roberta then spotted Reeves running in between the cars with Joe who lugging Laura on his shoulder; they were heading towards the underground car park. Roberta was back infuriated and she chased after them.
Roberta shot the docile Busta at point-blank when she ran past him.
*
Kujo who was asleep on the wheel stirred awaken to look up and to the clear gunshots—he turned the Range Rover SUV's ignition key and drove the vehicle with vulnerable Troy and True Bob; both tied up in the baggage compartment...
Reeves fired back at the trailing Roberta—allowing Joe to enter safely into the covered underground car park. Roberta reloaded her last remaining shells into the shotguns while on the run. She saw Reeves halting to guard the exit tunnel and was firing back...
*
Joe saw a fully accelerating SUV coming towards him—he pinned himself to the wall with Laura in his arms, and the vehicle sped past. Reeves lunged forward on a puddle on the ground and rolled away to avoid the rushing vehicle exiting from the parking entrance—he peeked over his shoulders at the SUV going head-on towards Roberta who raised both of her shotguns...
Kujo was still in his Hoasca induced hallucination when he was steering the SUV wheel—and he saw Roberta holding his crossbow. He cried out...
"That is my crossbow!"
Kujo further envisioned Roberta loading the bow with his erected penis as an arrow...
"You bitch! You stole my penis!" he bellowed aloud; he next eyed Roberta aiming the crossbow straight-up...
Roberta raised both her shotguns and discharged bullets at the oncoming Range Rover SUV—the big-game hunting slugs shattered the windscreen killing Kujo instantly. The SUV went out of control and rammed on a stationary car—going on top of it in a humping-position.
Roberta glimpsed at gasoline seeping off the lower parked smashed-up car—and she fired her last shell of the 12 gauge; it caused an explosion that blasted up the Range Rover SUV in elevation, landing the Jamaicans' ride on its side on the ground.
Roberta dropped down both of her empty shotguns. She peered up ahead at the tan-skinned shirtless Intersexual who was now hobbling into the underground car park entrance. Roberta pulled out her oversized hand-cannon from her sodden jacket—she was still 'game' for more kills with her adrenaline pumping hard inside her veins for more action—she pursued after the limping Reeves with infernal giggles...
"Where do you think you are going, monkey-boy?"
*
The toppled SUV was burning from the explosion—the zip-tie cuffed Troy and True Bob crawled out to safety from the back from its broken window—they both lay on their back outside, sluiced in the falling rain that relieved their minor skin scorches all over their bodies.
*
Joe reached the Mustang and he placed Laura on the hood of the car—he wheezed hard in the exhaustion from the run and fear—his head turned and hearing some gunshots echoing from the tunnel. Reeves and Roberta were at a floor below, exchanging fires while they ascended the spiral driveway.
Joe noticed the shooting Reeves was coming over fast, the red-haired picked Laura up from the hood—he heard Reeves yelling out...
"Joe, start the car!"
Reeves turned back and discovered that Roberta was not there behind. He limped backwards with his gun trained at the remote driveway path—his eyes were darting left and right in total anticipation of the exit...
Out of nowhere between the parked cars, Roberta lunged forward at the unmindful Reeves—they both landed on the concrete ground. Roberta knocking his pistol that slid away. The dazed Reeves heard Joe's voice calling out his name before he was aware of the presence of the large built woman on top of him—feeling the sharp pains from a series of hard punches, with her shirking rage screaming directly at him...
"You fucking son of a bitch, you think you and these niggers can get away?"
Roberta pulled out her .44 Magnum and removed the gun's safety. Joe gasped in fear when he saw Roberta was about to blow Reeves' brains away—the fat Wesleyan countered her...
"Hey, Jensen! Look here before you pull that damn trigger —look at me, bitch!"
Roberta was distracted by the call and looked up, seeing the plump figured Intersexual in drenched nurse uniform with a gun on Laura's temple—Roberta delicately took her gun piece off Reeves and slowly backed off with fear growing in her own eyes—seeing her sister Laura with a fresh contusion on her forehead, looking vulnerable in the tubby arm of the Intersexual.
Roberta was not going to give up that easily either—she too has a pawn for her current hostage negotiation. She pulled the dazed Reeves along as they both stood up—she planted the hand-cannon on to Reeves's cheek just like to 'the Cambodian monkey-boy' whom she once held before—Roberta demanded aloud...
"Give me back my sister, you, she-fuck, or he dies too!"
"No, you drop your gun, Jensen—or I will blow her head off!"
Joe replied back in the tensed hostage situation. Reeves was back alert into his senses, noting the jeopardy and he intervened despite his throat was hurt from one of the killer cop's punches thrown over there earlier...
"Joe, listen to her—it is all over, now give Laura back to her!"
"Shut the fuck up, Reeves—I know what I am doing!" Joe's voice shook...
Roberta had a brief recollection by somehow identifying Joe in the wet wig—he looked like her wife's red-headed best friend in the photo taken from the anti-Cory demonstration in the Mississippi from the Aryan Sisterhood investigation file. She then thought back of the earlier shootout—'this must be part of the cohort of both the Preacher's AOG and Aryan rebel members who were trying to get even for the recent e-SWAT attacks on the Sisterhood's base—and also for their loss at the Battle of New Orleans...
Now they have got Laura...
Capt. Roberta Jensen had all along feared of the possible assumptions that either the Russian Oligarch mob or the Cartel were after her for pilfering and thriving from part of the confiscated cocaine from the drug haul in Columbus—and as always she feared constantly that they might abduct Laura to get back at her. The former strike-force enforcer police job that she held before had created more enemies in her Columbus backyard—but she had least expected that the Aryans Sisterhood headed by Roxy Gillman have also plotted and have taken her sister as their hostage in LA...
Roberta heard the dark-haired Intersexual ragdoll in her arms was still pleading out firmly on her behalf...
"Joe, you fat-fuck, you don't know what you are doing—put the gun down before you hurt someone!"
"I have got this one! I know what I am doing—you stay out of this, Reeves!"
Joe was breathing hard, his eyes were still locked on Roberta—Joe knew if he kept the gun long enough, the killer-cop will succumb and surrender—Joe too now made his demands...
"Hey Jensen, let him go, and you drop your gun!"
Roberta did not respond until she heard Joe's removing the safety lock of his pistol—her eyes widened looking the gun held by the stubby fingers pointed the 9mm at Laura's temple ...
"No!" cried out the woman back—but she was still not releasing her bargaining chip at hand. Reeves spoke out again with terrors in his eyes, seeing Joe's trembling hand—he saw the panic-rush in Joe's physics...
Joe has been off his med for his ADHD for some time—and at this current tensed situation, it may lead him to do something irrational—just like when he almost pulled the trigger to shoot Spooky Kujo's head a week ago during the standoff with the Jamaicans at Huntington Lake.
"Listen to me Joe, you are getting nervous, that is not good—just let her go, man—please, don't hurt my mother, Joe—please..."
Roberta looked in disbelief, it felt like a boulder has crashed on her head— everything was still bewildering at the moment in her mind; she comprehending slowly that she was presently holding Laura's fully grownup consanguine bastard in her hand...
'The offspring of the spic-rapist was given away since birth—how could the scion found the whereabouts of the anonymity Laura after all these years?'
They all saw Laura with a gashed head was now in sentient movement, she was stirring to regain her consciousness. Roberta called out loudly after seeing it...
"Laura!"
"Jensen, drop your gun now!" Joe said firmly, he pulled Laura back a step...
Roberta released the choke-hold on the shirtless Reeves—a second later, she dropped the Magnum hand-cannon down and kicked it forward, it slid toward under the Mustang car. Reeves staggered forward and he took his natal mother away from Joe's arms...
The red-headed fat youth then approached Roberta and he held his gun nervously with both hands—he blabbered out some orders...
"Take out your handcuffs and cuff your wrist to that!" Joe was pointing at a nearby metal conduit...
Roberta complied with the demands and in the meantime, Reeves placed Laura in the passenger's seat of the Mustang and buckled her up. Laura has now slipped back into her state of coma. Reeves got into the driver's side and started the car...
Reeves noticing that Joe had forgotten his training routine given to rebels in the desert...
"Is that all, you goofy-shit?"
"Huh, what else is there?" Joe replied stupefied without turning his back.
"What about the keys to the handcuffs? And what about that; she has got another gun strapped at her ankle? And for fuck sake, take that ridiculous wig off, you moron!"
Joe dropped the wig down, chuckling nervously at his own heedlessness. "Okay, you heard your nephew, Uncle J—pass it over!" The disgruntled Roberta obeyed in defeat and tossed the keys and then she slid her Cobra derringer over, but her eyes were transfixed straight onto Reeves...
Two Lauras...
Roberta voiced out finally, "You Reeves, where are you taking Laura?"
"Away...she is my mother—she is coming with me."
The woman protested back...
"You fool! She is in no condition to travel, she has a weak heart—you will kill her!"
Those were the same words her own Aunt Flo had told her when she wanted to take her sister away from Columbus to Washington after her promotion and transfer.
Reeves revved the pedal while Joe got into the back seat. Roberta cried out while yanking her handcuffed wrist harder...
"You can't do this to me—she is my sister. She is all I have and you can't take her away from me!"
Reeves looked out from the driver's side of the window and he replied softly...
"Watch me..."
The Mustang drove away, Roberta kicked the rear of the passing car and she yelled out in rage...
"Come back here, you bastard! Give me back my sister!"
The car headed to the exit, the echoes were still audible from behind...
"No! Come back! Laura!"

The dry bodied vehicle was pelted by the rain and Reeves switched the wiper on before he sped towards the hospital's main entrance. There were lots of cars leaving out since the shooting incident.
Reeves braked when two drenched figures came in front of the car in the rain—it was True Bob and Troy—they got in, squeezed themselves in the backstreet with Joe in between. The Mustang hit the main road before the siren of a dozen responding LAPD patrol cars' arrived on the crime scene.
