Chapter 12

BESIDE A SMALL OPEN HANGER was a private jet — scheduled to leave soon to Washington D.C. A Black woman in suit, Agent Jones — peered into her field glass. The two Secret Agent sedans were coming from afar, towards the esoteric private airstrip. Behind her were the two butch pilots, smoking by the hanger while some workers were refueling the jet.

Marlin and Joana were in the backseat of the car while Kardon drove. The older Harrison was in the front passenger seat. Joana was holding Marlin's hand and spoke softly...

“So you knew about all these?”

“Yes, Edna told me.”

“They spoke about the twins just now, so this Joe — is he my brother?

Marlin nodded, and it somehow made him smile to inveigle...

“Yes, I guess so — when I first saw you in New Orleans, I followed you — because you looked just like Joe, not by size, though — but as a red-headed, most definitely.

“I bet Joe will be surprised too — knowing that you exist because he grew up all his life thinking he was an orphan in Ohio — with along with another friend of mine, Reeves — I met those two guys when I was in prison.”

Joana started running her fingers into his long hair, enquiring more.

“Hey, you are a mysterious guy yourself, you freak…why you never talked much about yourself or about your mother — the doctor — why is that so, Marlin?” Marlin glanced at the two agents in the front seats — he went to whisper into her ears...

“It is not safe.”

Just as how he had hidden his complex background — even with his former girlfriend Suki. He could not tell Joana yet that Dr Morris was just his guardian, who had posed as his mother since his birth — while his real mother was Sonia Petroff — the macrobiotic scientist, who was in the hiding after being accused of her association with the scientific group that was answerable for the gendercide, of the entire male species on the world.

“Promise you will tell me everything from today onwards, okay?”

She held his neck and kissed Marlin.

Agent Harrison turned her head. “Hey cut it out back there. This is a US Government authorized vehicle — not a taxi cab.”

Both the female agents laughed despite the recalcitrant teens ignoring them. The agents were shifting in their seats seconds later — not by the excitement inside but towards outside the car — after hearing loud noisome soaring above.

“Oh no! She has found me,” exclaimed the vexed Joana...

It was Friday — it was time for her to return back to her second home.

Three single-engine crop-duster planes were in the skyline, flying low and approaching the hanger.

Roxy Gailman was flying one of them with her giant woman-bodyguard sitting behind in the passenger holding seat — Bigfoot betrothed out an RPG and aimed below...

The plummeting rocket blasted into the drums of kerosene, while the female workers filling the propellant into the jet fled. An impactful explosion raptured next, and that hurled the Secret Service Agents’ jet plane off the ground before landing its belly up. Marlin looked in horror at the inferno up ahead, before the jet’s ensuing explosion...

He grabbed Agent Harris’s shoulder and exclaimed...

“Agent Harrison, turn back — Roxy Gailman is attacking us!”

“Kardon, listen to the kid — turn back!”

The other car driven by Agent Fowler halted — and she alighted with another agent. They fired their pistols at the circling planes above. Agent Fowler then popped opened the sedan’s trunk — and pulled out two high powered machine guns.

Another plane strafed low at the hanger, firing and killing both the running pilots...

Agent Jones was dashing out from the burning hanger. She then turned back and fired back at the plane. But Agent Jones fell after she was consequently struck by the hail of bullets. The gunner who killed Jones had a short moment of triumph — she was now aware that her pilot was also dead, with a bullet hole hollowed into her right eyeball socket. The crop buster plane crashed into the roof of the hanger.

On the runaway, the second plane flew low towards the two firing Secret Service Agents...

Agent Fowler had taken cover behind their car. She spotted something shattering near the sedan. The smashed Mason jars with live grenades, thrown off from the plane — ripped their vehicle, but both the agents leapt away to safety. They mustered with injuries — and stood back on their feet to reload ammo magazines into their machine guns, while the plane turned around from above.

It then flew low firing again towards them...

Both the agents replied back with accurate on-target shots. The plane’s single propeller was damaged, and the smoking aircraft smashed into the runway tarmac. It vaulted at high speed towards the agents’ direction, hurling kamikaze into them — and the metal wreckage bequeathed behind with a long hundred yards trail of blood, bones and flesh of the two agents — before it exploded on the runaway ground ahead.

Roxy Gilman realized that two of her backup planes were down in flames, and she cursed back. The giant-woman started pointing at a black sedan driving away...

“General, The Commander must be in that car!”

Roxy turned the plane around, and she pursued toward the escaping car — with her little-sister in it...

‘Nobody is taking Jo away.’

Marlin spotted Roxy’s plane coming...

The sedan was out of the runaway and it sped on the countryside road. He held on Harrison’s shoulder again. “Give me a gun — come on, agent, I can help!” Agent Harrison opened the glove compartment and passed him a pistol. “Me too,” Joana requested.

Harrison assessed the morass and concerted — she could use any help at this moment...

Both the teens in her custody were trained, militia soldiers. But Harrison’s priority was still to get them to Washington alive to Gates. She took a Dillinger from her ankle strap and gave it to Joana — before turning towards Kardon...

“We can't outrun a plane. We got to stop and fight!”

The giant-woman then shot a rocket and it impacted a blast on the road, causing the moving car to swerve for a hard stop. All four of them got out of the vehicle. They started to fire at the oncoming plane.

Roxy Gailman was confounded when she pulled the plane up — but she spotted Joana shooting from below, when the plane was passing over them...

“What the fuck! Why is Jo shooting at me?”

Agent Harrison opened the trunk to get the cache of weapons. She picked up a machine guns while Marlin eyed the RPG — but that was soon taken by Agent Kardon. Agent Harrison instructed the blond Intersexual and the girl beside her...

“Both of you — don't stand in the open. Go take cover. We will fight the plane!”

The two agents remained behind — while Marlin grabbed Joana's hand and ran. The girl hobbled fast towards a tall pine on the nearby field — while Roxy’s plane turned back. From under the tree, Marlin peered at the duo in the black suits pointing their aims for the plane — waiting for it to approach closer.

Roxy turned her back and saw her oversized bodyguard — loading another mortar, yelling to her...

“Hey Bigfoot you asshole — put that away. I need Jo alive. My mother will kill me if she is dead!”

The big woman took out her Uzi instead — and fired below at the agents who responded back with their rapid firing. Marlin also blazed from below the tree, until his gun clicked empty.

The plane flew away to re-circle back again. Agent Harrison turned back to assess the damage —Kardon had collapsed on the road, and was dying — and she did not trigger the RPG...

Harrison was alone in the quandary — she reloaded a new magazine into the rifle and shouted out...

“Marlin, keep the girl over there!”

The defenceless Marlin eyed the RPG beside the dead Agent Kardon. He saw Roxy coming back fast. Marlin grabbed Joana and gave her a quick kiss, and instructed her loudly...

“Stay here, Jo, don't follow me!”

But Marlin anticipated her well enough — just like the rebellious Suki who defied her close-clan to have a relationship with him — this stubborn Aryan followed him running — he now feared that Joana Cory would get caught in the crossfire.

He turned around and kicked her leg — that was healing from the gunshot wound of New Orleans. Joana dropped forward on the grass, with a loud and acute hollering cry of pain. Marlin raced ahead, towards Kardon’s unfired weapon on the ground...

The plane blasted from above, firing a rain of lead at Harrison, and at the approaching Marlin.

Harrison took a hit and she yielded — more bullets were hitting the road with Marlin still running forward. The plane passed above him, and Marlin dove down at the RPG — he clutched it up quick, turned to see a golden sun reflecting at the passing plane — and Marlin fired the thumper...

It was not a first-rate exceptional shot — but it was enough to blow off the tip end of one of the plane's win — in fact, it was another fluke shot — like how he sniped at the golden-glittering medal, and killed the 2012 trap-shooter Olympian gold medalist on-duty guard at the watchtower, back in Tombscradle.

The crop-buster plane went out of control — and Roxy struggled to keep it afloat.

Marlin viewed it flying sideways over the tall trees ahead. He stood up and heard it crashing about a mile away, in the dense woods.

He walked over to Harrison holding her bleeding wounded shoulder. He helped the older agent to her feet. Joana was standing on her own with her back leaning onto the tree, screaming back at him from afar...

“Fuck you, freak, why did you kick me there!!? It hurts like a motherfucker!”

Marlin mumbled softly to himself to see Joana there, “yea, I love you too...”

Harrison was slightly amused...

“Love hurts — and you sure have a funny way of showing that, kid.”

Marlin grinned back...

“Let’s go to D.C., Agent Harrison — and I am driving.”

The wreckage chunks of Roxy's farm plane were scattered and was burning, on the forest ground. Roxy lay holding her bleeding left thigh, grimacing in pain. She took out her cell phone from her pants — but it was broken. She tossed it away, and crying out in pain and frustration...

“Fuck you, Fish!”

The giant-woman appeared out from the shrubs, her clothes were in tatters. She walked over confused, and was bleeding from cuts and scrapes — and a fractured arm...

“General, are you okay?”

“Do I look okay to you, you Nephilim-moron!!?”

Roxy yelled back in mordant pain, “I think I broke my leg. Call up the camp for help!”

“I lost my phone,” the befuddled tall woman said, looking over her shoulder...

“It is a long way to go back to camp — and get help.”

“Are you are thinking of a fucking revenant, by leaving me behind to die, Bigfoot? No, you are gonna fucking carry me — all the fucking way back to camp, you hear me!!?”

Marlin drove the black sedan with Joana in front, her back rested on the passenger door — and her legs were stretched on Marlin's lap. Agent Harrison was lying asleep on the backseat with bandages, strapped over her gunshot shoulder.

The body of the deceased Kardon was in the trunk.

Joana was still irked, and she kicked Marlin’s thigh...

“I just don't understand you sometimes, you fucking freak-show — why did you kick me there? I have to thank grandma — for giving me this bottle of painkillers, or else it will be a living hell, as the last time!”

Marlin was glad that Joana was still alive — after the close call attack by her own Aryans Sisterhood faction.

It was a gut feeling that worked for the best to favour the Adonis — but she would not understand it...

Marlin hoped that this would be the last of Roxy Gailman too — and she would never have to return again, to take her sister away from the one — whom she had nicknamed as Fish.
