REEVES PASSED THE ROAD SIGN — '1 mile to US Immigration.'
He turned to see the Mowag tank was again left far behind. He felt a sense of relief for that moment.
Captain Farrer on the other end was still bitter for her revenge — for the destruction of her army base, along with the deaths of her soldiers. She knew that her tank could not catch up. She was fuming mad and now directed the cannon turret upwards — and fired multiple shells towards the hills ahead...
Reeves heard the blasts from behind him — he turned back to the right and detected explosions on the icecaps tops — creating an avalanche of sliding snow, boulders and rocks which were now crumbling down towards the winding roads below...
Reeves panicked for the safety of Laura and others in the Mustang ahead — he cried out to True Bob...
“Step on it, Bob! Quick!"
Troy gave similar instructions to Joe to drive faster, with piling snow and rocks that now hurling, and were hitting the side of the Mustang. Laura gaped, seeing at a huge hill-sized boulder rolling downhill, heading towards the buggy behind them — she was screaming out to warn...
“Reeves!"
Reeves and True Bob estimated that the huge boulder was progressing down at high-speed, and there was no way the terrain buggy could outrun, and neither avoid the plunging debris — they both dived out of the moving vehicle. The plummeting boulder crashed into and flattened their winding buggy ahead...
Laura sighted from afar, where Reeves and Bob were back on their feet — and they both were then running to avoid from being buried under the mass descending avalanche — enormous slush and rocks fell onto their path.
Reeves turned to discover that the Mowag, was still advancing behind them...
The avenging Captain Farrer was aiming to blast another shell at the two rebels, escaping on foot —with the shower-pile of snow descending from above. The final massive drop of the sliding avalanche discharged spill onto the road — Captain Farrer screamed in trepidation when her tank was swept aside — and the heaping snow was forcing the tank over the railing. The Mowag soon plunged down the cliff with the overspill...
Laura screamed out.” No!"
She saw the running Reeves and Bob were next buried alive under the heavy dropping heap of snow.

Troy dived behind to the backseat to grab Laura — who tried to jump out from the moving car, by climbing towards the Mustang's trunk. Her hysterical shriek continued...
“Reeves! We have to go back — and get them!"
Troy held her tightly to his chest...
“We can't Laura — or we will all be buried alive like them!"
As much as they wanted to rescue Reeves and True Bob — yet it was impossible, without all of them sacrificing their own lives too, being buried alive — which was the last thing that Reeves himself would want them to do...
Laura hugged Troy and cried out bitterly. Joe was also maudlin in tear, pounding his fist on the steering wheel to see the demise of his friends, who were left behind to die — he then drove the survivors out of the danger zone.

The FBI Bell helicopter landed on the Canadian border.
Roberta descended to see the night-shift Canadian troops and Immigration officers, of both women and Intersexuals — staring at her arrival. Roberta spoke up urgently to them...
"I am here on behalf of the FBI — can I speak to someone in charge here?”
A lanky Intersexual in uniform stepped out from the troop — who also happened to recognize the illustrious visitor...
“I am Captain John Halen — yes, what do you want, Miss Roberta Jensen? But firstly, may I ask — do you have the proper authorization, to land here in our Canadian soil?"

Joe and Troy observed that the US soldiers were removing the spikes from the road when they drove closer to the US Immigration checkpoint. The Mustang halted at a near distance. They noticed the six soldiers with a group of armed Immigration officers amassed — they seemed like they were waiting for their arrival...
Troy had only a few remaining bullets in the rifle and was pondering ways to go pass the armed military guards ahead. He noticed that the army soldiers had not drawn nor pointed their arsenal of guns and rifles at the Mustang.
There were neither in resistances nor aggression — but only staring eyes from across...
Joe passed over his favourite pistol to Troy. It was Roberta’s Magnum hand-cannon, with 3 remaining bullets...
Both looked at each other with a mutual tacit understanding — that Troy would shoot his way through, to protect the three of them — while he the ADHD-ding, whom Reeves trusted, on the other hand, would drive like the wind into the Canadian checkpoint — and he would not stop, at all cost— no matter how many bullets succumbed him, just as how True Bob had joked, during their final supper, last evening.
Troy climbed behind to the backseat to shield Laura — and Joe stepped slowly on the accelerator pedal — and the Mustang approached gradually towards the US checkpoint...
Troy looked at the compliant Army and Immigration staff, while he held his own machine gun close to his chest — his eyes peeled around to detect for any hiding snipers, targeting their locks on them. Joe too was surprised when the Immigration officer, even had lifted the boom-gate barrier pole to let them pass in. Joe nervously thanked the guard and he cruised on. Troy was on-guard, still standing at the back, with a knee resting on the backseat.
Laura lamented in tears, as she glanced at the faces of the female officers standing aside. The women soldiers outside were looking glumly at her too — seeing the pine Laura, as the AOG rebels’ ‘hostage.’
The red Mustang drove into the Canadian side.
