26 - Wrecked

26 - Wrecked

The first thing he saw when his eyes reopened again was a huge wreck. He was under its flipped and broken main deck used as a shelter from the intense and merciless twin suns.

It looked like the airship barely survived the blast with its hull still mostly intact. The twin long air sacks and its mast, however, were obliterated, and from the noises, he guessed somebody was trying to repair something.

His head was not on the wonderfully thick soft thighs anymore but something as soft was in place for them. He spontaneously clutched on the shards as he was reminded of the first two lovely ladies who had opened up to him.

‘They are gone, aren’t they?’ He wondered and sighed. ‘And is it my fault?’

“In case you are wondering, then yes, it is your fault,” said a stern voice who read his thoughts like a page in a book.

“Fuck you, Anthon,” Ake heard himself cursing under his breath.

“Well, fuck you too,” the man answered without a pause. “I won’t snap your neck for that because of the two ladies YOU left behind. I specifically had-” The man stopped himself and cursed repeatedly under his breath.

They spent some time in silence staring at each other.

“What I’ve told you is the cold hard truth,” the man said. “But remember, each one of us damned souls had made our own damnable best choices, and if you can understand that, it might make you feel a little better.”

The man stood up and shambled towards the other half of the wreckage after he had made his point. The tall handsome man was limping as he was in a terrible mess too. The Guildmaster had stayed beside him as if he had waited just to dump those words at him, his damned version of a pep talk.

It took Ake a few moments of staring at his back before he finally noticed it.

One of the middle-aged man's long sleeves was flailing, and whatever was left of his other arm was bandaged. In fact, he could see bandages everywhere on him as if he was a living mummy.

Lady Pris-Acilla greeted the mummified Guildmaster as she tried to convince the man to continue resting. Her clothes also had seen better days as they barely functioned under the simple cloak she donned.

The woman spared a glance at him and nodded grimly.

The joke about barely functioning anime dresses didn’t seem funny at the moment. Ake figured the shards had kept him from completely losing his shit. He also knew it was better for him to get it all out, but despite that, he dared not lose his grip on the shards.

He tried to get up and move, but his body refused to bulge even an inch. They were there as he could feel them touching the ground, but any attempt to move around had numbly failed. All he could muster to do was turn his head left and right.

He noticed a thin cloth wrapped around his neck imbued with enough [Mana] to light up a hold deck of Sigil cards. The owner would be none other than her but he would be a huge liar if he claimed the [Mana] felt familiar to him. The cloth was probably imbued with some sort of magic that nulled the pain as the [Ethereal Sense] could tell that his body was in shambles.

The Sense also told him that his limbs were held together with sticks and bandages while the [Soul Ledger] confirmed he had blown all of his five-hundred plus HP. As if that wasn't already terrible enough, the Healing Points had hit zero and stayed at zero.

Obviously, only Lady Rinia’s efforts were keeping her f-boy alive.

With nothing else on his plate, his thoughts had gone back to the few minutes he had first arrived in this damnable world. He recalled the awful men joking about a huge explosion that would wipe every trace of their crime. Ake wished he could smash those two heads one day.

Of course, hindsight told and cursed him that he should have taken those words a lot more seriously. He hid behind the rational thought that he couldn’t have blamed himself. He was still very confused at that moment, and he was trying to decide if everything around him was even real.

But Taluna’s clear warning to skip town ASAP came back to him after that. How could he have almost forgotten about that, he wondered. Was he too distracted with everything around him? Perhaps the expensive whore had blown more than his bits out of him?

And why did she even mention it to him? Why did she care?

She probably knew that there was a ticking time bomb in town. It was probably why she disappeared without a trace as soon as she delivered her demands. That scheming bitch should have spelled it onto his face. What had she got to lose?

The Guildmaster’s forced cheerful attitude and everyone else's suspicious demeanors played inside his head like a broken record. The good man had tried, Ake could understand that at least. Everyone had their limits. Even a silver-spoon-fed, middle-aged man could use that excuse.

Lady Rinia probably knew this all too well. Each life she had saved prior to this day must have felt meaningless and terribly painful until it probably was eating her inside. It must have been terrible. No one could imagine to be in her dainty shoes.

That was why she desperately tried to find relief. She hadn’t hesitated to drown herself in mind-numbing bliss when he presented himself.

And he was more than glad that he could help. Ake chuckled darkly.

What the two other poor souls had said had led him to believe that a proper and respected lady like her would have never done such a thing.

But at least he didn’t see how the two died, the cold unfeeling logic summarised.

They probably had not suffered and turned to dust in an instant.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

They were the lucky ones as he had to live on suffering from his memory of the two very amorous and loveable ladies. The two might not be perfect but they were more than good enough for him.

“Goblins!!” somebody yelled out loud.

The sound of clashing metal and struggle came next, but Ake couldn't care less. He stared at the indigo sky while his head was blank from grievance. Someone should put him down and end his misery. This f-boy would only be a burden anyway.

Something flew over him, too fast for his eyes, but he was not very curious to find out.

Rinia with all her sexy glory suddenly hovered over him. The lady checked on him as the pair of wonderful boobs rocked softly before his eyes.

She said something, but he couldn’t help to care or to listen. The lady smiled bitterly before something caught her attention, and she disappeared from view. What was more important to her than him? Probably everything else around.

Her scream jolted him a little.

“Ake! You want to let Rinia die too?” The awfully demanding voice slapped him awake.

What did the man expect a cripple to do? Was he an insufferable idiot?

A sudden unreasonable rage boiled in him.

He didn’t see all red but it was close enough. Fuck hiding his talents. Why should he fucking care about hiding them if it meant losing the people he cared about?

The [Ethereal Sense] found the voluptuous lady in an instant.

The [Ethereal Arms] whipped towards her direction and lashed at the brown dirty creature that had dared to pin his woman down.

The nasty long-eared creature was folded in half before it was sent flying away. It crashed into a tree along with its nasty dangling reproduction organ.

A single Arm didn’t even strain as it pushed his limp body up and afloat so he could look around freely. At the same time, another Arm gently wrapped around the lady’s waist and brought her closer.

He gently placed her down on her feet as she got close. Rinia didn’t say a word whilst her jaw was left hanging open as she stared at him. Her hands remembered to hide her surprise and gaping mouth a few seconds too late.

Everybody else was busy with their fights and he didn’t think others had the time to witness what he had done. Ake would leave the explanation to the lady later as more Arms came to life as he spent more mana on them.

At his instruction, the Arms picked up a few crude weapons and pretty much anything could be used as one.

All of them raised into the air at almost the same time.

The sights and sounds around him shoved reason back into his head. Everybody around was busy fighting for their lives while he was feeling sorry for himself. He wouldn’t survive long if he kept this mentality up.

What was done is done.

He had to grow a pair and move forward.

He owed the little lady much more than he thought. If he hadn’t had these shards within him, he probably didn’t have the luxury of looking at reality as it was. The time of mourning would be later as he owed Lady Rinia more than his puny life.

A small humanoid lunged at him but the floating crude stone axe cut the lunge short. The brown goblin was flung away lifeless whilst almost cut in half.

A wicked smile drew on his face as an idea came. There was no need to hold back when people’s lives were at stake, right? But a little diversion wouldn’t harm anyone. He hadn't lost all his wit just yet.

“Can you carry me for a while?” he asked the dumbstruck lady.

The Lady shook away her surprise and firmly nodded, “I mean yes, please let me, I’ll keep you safe,” she offered.

“Thanks,” he said as he lowered himself onto the woman's waiting and loving arms.

He could tell something covered him all over in almost an instant. Also thanks to Lady Rinia’s assistant, two more Arms were free to do his bidding. A dozen of them should be more than enough to execute his rather simple plan.

“Let’s pretend what will happen next is all you, okay?” Ake whispered and the lady’s large grey eyes went wide.

Ake didn’t wait for her nod as he grabbed everything within his reach before he started spinning them around him as fast as the Arms were able.

The jointless and ghostly [Ethereal Arms] phased through everything other than the things they held onto.

The dizzying speed turned it into a tight whirlwind of slicing and grinding machine.

Ake smiled when Lady Rinia gasped at the sight. Surprisingly, a manic smile replaced the gasp as she noticed his attention. It was clear that this was not the craziest thing she had ever witnessed before.

“I’ve always wondered what Anthon sees in you,” the Lady said as her magnificent chest heaved right before his face. And now she saw them, his true raw potential.

“Let’s bring the fight to them,” Ake said and she nodded eagerly.

Lady Rinia, to her credit, was a lot faster than he thought she would be. She dashed from one spot to another while making sure no one friendly was caught in the spiral of death.

Green blood splattered everywhere as the controlled whirlwind lashed at anything in their way. Like a blunt meat grinder, they tore through the enemy ranks, clearing a path while leaving blood and gore in their wake.

Each destroyed armament was replaced with anything within reach. Rocks, sticks, planks, and even decorative skulls were turned into deadly projectiles in the whirlwind. He even stole a few of his allies' weapons for their own benefit.

Everything was much easier when he only needed to focus on causing maximum destruction while he left his safety and mobility in the soft hands of the fine lady. She circled around the field almost as fast as his tornado of random things, and he couldn't have asked for more.

A deafening roar filled the air. The hideous tusked monster brandished two extra large bone clubs. The ground shook as it charged toward the Lady.

But it was cut short as he whipped everything he had toward it.

The air cracked repeatedly as the Arms abused its full length, whipping to its full advantage.

The monstrous pudgy being was littered with crude weapons and other things until it appeared like a huge brown pincushion.

The stunned monster took a few steps back before its leg tripped on nothing.

The ground vibrated as it fell on its back.

Ake was reaching towards the massive bone clubs off the ground when he noticed.

The ambush was routed.

It became obvious when whatever left of the attack turned their tails and scurried after the biggest of them fell all too quickly.

A breath of relief escaped him when it was over but the Arms were still ready for more.

He turned towards the one carrying him around only to meet with her wild intense stare.

“That is amazing,” said Lady Rinia. “You’re amazing.”

She then pulled him closer and rewarded him with a hungry kiss on the lips whilst he was still helplessly in her princess carry.

He took the sweet lovely lips as his first win.

Whoever was behind his abduction and the explosion, he promised he would deliver his special brand justice upon them. He would do everything he could if it was the last thing he would do in this world. They had it coming because they had made this very personal to him.

Those people would reap what they had sowed.
