23 - Healers
It was two days later when he once again returned to the hospital. It was only about a month, but it felt like it had been ages since he walked out of these doors.
The hospital, locally known as the Healing Abode was not as busy as he had thought, but perhaps because things had been kind of quiet lately. The quests, the people's prime source of income, had reduced as if all the top people were too busy with something.
It was concerning but not his business to worry about it. As a White, he had his own problems. He had woken up in one of its rooms, but he had never thought he would come back anytime soon or here looking for a job.
The place was missing its iconic smell, but it was probably the cleanest place in town. There was a pair of women in white robes who walked around using the [Cleanse] card at every corner of the place. Every tiny bit of blood, grime, or whatever, was purged as they made rounds in the two-story building.
The Sigil card reminded him that it was too bad he couldn’t get into the enchanting business, but it was understandable. The [Class] was a money-printing hack. Who wouldn’t have kept the information only to themselves? Ake would be more surprised if somebody with the knowledge had been willing to divvy it to strangers.
He hadn’t tried to double down on the issue because there were a lot of valid excuses the lady could use to stomp it flat. There were a lot of reasons she could tap into.
The risk of crashing the economy was one valid concern. Also, all the other terrible things that could’ve happened if the knowledge had fallen into the wrong hands.
If a [Artificer] was open to anyone, what would stop any of them from selling powerful magical items to criminals? No Kingdom would survive long without regulation around the [Class] and its capability.
The girls had been doing most of the talking to the nurses. They then followed the guide to a big room to meet the most important person in town. The woman explained that only she could decide whether he got what it took to have a job here.
As he had expected, not many men were around. Why would they when they could brag about and boost their inflated egos by fighting monsters? There were a few, of course, but the disparity was as clear as day.
The last two days they spent talking about the Lady and [Healers] in general. If he didn't misinterpret it, Liara’s backup plan was to whore him out which would guarantee his safety. She was adamant about it as if she had made a [Oath] to herself.
The staff introduced them to Lady Cathy-Rinia, one of the town's only [Healer]. She was a minor noble from a family of healers.
He didn’t know how to feel about Liara’s plan as the Lady [Healer] was something else.
The brunette had that sexy Latin beauty going on with dark olive skin and her outrageous superb proportions. The middle-aged lady donned a medical robe, but it swelled out until she probably couldn’t button up.
The large bun on her head had only made the long slender neck look delicious. The large striking gray eyes looked at him, and the thick lips smiled alluringly.
Ake would have been swiping off the drool leaking out of his mouth if he hadn’t gripped on the shards. The lady was an artwork that came alive.
“Just call me Rinia, may I?” the lady Rinia said as she was about to assess his [Flesh] shard.
“Sure, as long as it doesn’t tickle,” Ake smiled foolishly at his own silly jab.
“I promise it won’t,” The lady giggled as she pressed her palm on where the cursed [Flesh] shard was hiding under his clothes.
Ake felt it when something brushed on it. The lady unexpectedly pulled away her palm with a small gasp. It might be just his imagination because, as experienced she was, there would be no reason why she should be surprised by what she sensed.
“That’s the strongest [Flesh] essence I’ve felt for a while,” the lady said, subtly adjusting her seat. “Did you inherit this shard from someone?”
“Yes, how do you know?” Ake said with a mild surprise.
“Well, I’ll be more surprised if it is not inherited. You’d be a prodigy if you had cultivated the shard to such a high degree at such a young age.”
“Does this mean he can be a [Healer]?” Sila asked the obvious.
“After learning the basics, yes, of course, he can be an excellent one,” the lady subtly bit her lower lips. “We could always use another pair of hands.”
“Thank you,” Liara breathed in relief. “Then, we’ll leave him in your care.”
Ake chuckled, “I’m not a toddler,” he shook his head. “Now off you go, I promise I won’t get lost whenever I’m done here for the day.”
“You better,” Sila said with a pout.
Liara pulled him closer and whispered to him. “Like what we have talked about, you’ll do whatever you have to, do you hear me? Remember what I’ve said, the noble’s words are commoner’s law, and if the rumors are true, she should give in and use this chance. This is the only job left, just think like you are helping the lady out.”
“Yes, yes, of course, ma’am,” Ake smiled at the worrywart.
He couldn’t believe what he agreed to do. There was no way such a noble-born beauty wanted anything to do with him. He had agreed because it was unimaginable.
Nevertheless, Ake had to push their backs to get them to finally leave his side after enough days spent together in one room. He only had himself to blame.
No one had asked him to voice his issue with allowing the girls to be pregnant with another man’s child. The far-off thinking had a much bigger impact on them, and his sincere concern had resonated with something instinctual. The girls had become a little possessive until they had exhausted all their pent-up energy on him.
Lesson learned. It would be the last time he would talk about it to anyone else.
Of course, if he would meet anyone else who was into him and not his abilities. Or did he even want to include anyone else?
Two was more than enough.
And as he had expected, he had spent his first day doing the most mundane jobs like folding all kinds of fabrics, from towels to bed sheets. Half of the time he was cleaning places where it was hard to reach by normal means. He didn’t mind it as he had considered himself unbelievably lucky when real cleaning was all done using magic.
It would be a nightmare to wash off blood and such things. Everyone who had tried knew how hard it was to get it off the cloth and get it back to that pristine white color.

Ake knew he was being watched from time to time, but whenever he wasn’t, the Arms would take over as they would do a better job than him. The Arms also worked faster as he managed to tidy up a large room of textile supply to perfection in record time.
He had a peaceful and very satisfying [Meditation] for quite a long time before one of the cutest nurses finally came to get him. Officially they were known as Apprentice Healers, but he couldn’t help to call them nurses inside his head.
The competition was fierce though, at least what he heard as he spied on them.
The girl had brought him to the main [Healer] office before she excused herself from the room, for whatever reason, with a beet-red face and ears. He was worried that Liara might be right on the money again.
A noble lady who wanted him? What kind of delusion was that?
He shook the thought away as Ake took a seat on the posh sofa as he scanned the surroundings, and to his surprise, the place wasn’t an office at all. The lady was loaded, but the place only had necessary luxuries like the feather-soft loveseat. It also was more to a home complete with a bed and bathroom.
The lady was enjoying herself under the warm spray of water. She was enjoying not just the water, but he had enough of women’s charm to last him a few weeks to be flustered. The lady was trying too hard if anyone had asked him. It was like she hadn’t had a man for decades already, but that was none of his business.
He sat there and reviewed what he knew of the human body and tried to come up with his own ways to do what healers were supposed to do. Maybe he could figure out something these people had never thought of before.
He was also wondering how the [Flesh] could help and what kind of trick these [Healers] do to brush off the intent from the wound. Did they actually need a higher tier [Flesh] to do a better job as the Lady had suggested?
Ake also didn’t think these people knew how to sew the cut wound together as they didn’t have a viable tool like the modern tread. Maybe he could use that to his advantage. He certainly had not noticed anyone had treaded any wound whilst he had the chance to look around.
A yelp came from his back but it didn’t surprise him.
“Oh, it is just you,” Lady Rinia breathed in relief.
“Yes ma’am, it is just me,” Ake said as he stood up and bowed a little.
It was kind of obvious she wanted him to think that she had completely forgotten about him, but he was okay with her defensiveness. A woman like her had to protect her pride. Her cheeks were still all red, but there was no use calling her out on that and what she was doing to herself in the bathroom.
She was a very busy woman the only one who could close up large wounds, and it had taken a toll on her. If whatever she had done gave her the relief she needed, then who was he to say anything about it?
He turned around a little and gave her a natural smile, “I’ll just wait here while you dress up.”
“Oh, silly me,” Lady Rinia giggled. “Sorry, but I just got out of the bath.”
“I know,” Ake said while looking at her without really looking at her.
If he was right about it, it would take a terrible amount of effort to get the [Flesh] shard to the level where one could do the basic healings. An inherited shard should be something far in between because of the very nature of the shard.
An inherited shard rareness made the most sense if anyone just thought about its implication. The shard kept people young and alive, it made just sense when no one would be willing to part with their lifetime-earned hard work.
He imagined even a mother’s love would make someone hesitate to do something like it especially if the consequences were dire. It was inevitable when the shard had already been in the human body for such a long time.
If given the choice, no one, not even mothers would want to give up their shard. No one would want suddenly to appear much older and uglier.
Unless you are a demoness, at least. Taluna probably had a few in her based on the way she healed up the grievous self-inflicted wound in the blink of an eye.
“Hmm, what a considerate man,” the lady chuckled, “but I don’t want to dress up. I just want to go to sleep like this. But do I look awful in this?”
“I dare not say you do, my lady,” Ake said. “Your beauty astounded me.”
She surely didn’t, not with a refined body like hers. The brunette had her wet hair loose from the tight bun she had during the day, and it had added to her suggestiveness. The lady reminded him of the demoness and her equally sensuous mature body.
“Then look at me, will you?” The lady demanded.
Ake turned and looked at her. His eyes traced every curve of hers.
Rinia had her bathrobe off her shoulders and barely hanging on her huge pair.
He kept his cool as the lady sauntered towards him and shook those dangling meats.
She wrapped her hands around his neck slightly from the side, and he responded by grabbing her tiny waist.
The bathrobe fell off as she went in for a kiss. The lady reached over to grab his man-club while he kissed her back, and she gasped at what she had discovered.
Rinia savored the meeting lips for some time until she reluctantly separated.
“Do you know how hard it is to find a [Flesh] shard that could withstand mine?’
“I guess it is rare?”
“It is impossible as there is none in this whole goddamned area,” she stated as she lovingly stroked him. “And my flesh will squeeze this thing dead if I’ve tried with anyone lower.”
“Then I’m glad to be of your service, my lady,” Ake turned the lady around, and she bent over with her hands on the sofa.
It looked like he was whoring himself out.

She spread her long, sexy legs so fast, it was like she had been waiting for this all day long.
Rinia’s gasping pussy was dripping onto the floor by the time he placed the huge dick and plugged the leak. The lady reacted by shaking her ass around and whimpered under her breath as he held on to the tiny waist.
Ake plunged in and the lady gasped and swore how it was not the same.
At least the lady wasn’t lying. The inhumanly tight fleshy hole was nothing like he had ever felt before in both lives. Not even virgin pussies should feel anything like this.
Each stroke was heavenly as if they were a match made in hell. The wide hips gave him a nice grip as he repeatedly smashed the large bottom. The fine lady screamed profanities as he rearranged her insides.
It felt so great, his hip couldn’t stop moving on itself, even as he poured everything into her.
His head was above the clouds only seeing stars as he took a breather.
Ake turned her around to suck on the meaty melons, and the sweat-milky liquid filled his mouth. This lady was his dream coming true.
He really could get addicted to this vile cunt.

Ake could tell it had been years since the last she had any.
It felt like nothing else mattered when he was in Rinia’s wholesome embrace. The Lady slept in his arms after she requested him to stay by her side.
She needed the sleep because it had been a tiring day, or as she proclaimed. It was probably not because it had been hours had passed since she got out of the bath.
Ake was glad he had talked about this with the two.
Or he would have been surprised, befuddled, and slaphappy right about now.
He only realized that the two weren’t fooling around when they said the best currency for a female [Healer] was bodily pleasure. It clicked when the [Class] required a higher tier [Flesh] to be effective, and such a requirement also meant not many would be able to handle them.
He had argued that it was cheap, but Liara already had her answer prepared. It wouldn’t be cheap if in exchange he got what money rarely could buy.
His safety was their priority, and it warmed his Sharded heart.
Of course, the local [Artificer] would never part with her secret even if they had offered, but it was a different story with Lady Rinia, the [Healer]. It was a unique opportunity for him because of his higher tier [Flesh] shard which translates to a higher tier [Flesh] essence.
Liara had once told him about females’ higher essence suppressing their counterparts, but he had never thought she meant it quite literally. If they got it in somehow, Ake didn’t think any poor man could pull it out, even if he used all his strength.
Now he knew why it had taken them two days to teach him how to act around a noble, especially a lady. They didn’t want him to offend the Lady somehow and ruin their plan.
