drian grabbed a bottle of water and took a sip. The cold water refreshed him like nothing else. It was the simple things in life that helped him get out of bed every day. Looking over to his left he saw his new cage. A cage of his own making but still a cage. He knew of course he knew Adrian knew all. As a seer he knew a good month if he spends it all in one place. That was really reckless of him but he was well awarded. This month will be exciting so many things will happen. This place burning down and Ronan’s growth into a much stronger Tarnished.

But that wasn’t here nor there right now. He needed to keep Ronan safe any minute now they would come down and offer him a position in their ranks in return for watching over Ronan for the foreseeable future until the new dark lord is vanquished.

He of course would accept without complaint. The reason would be clear for anyone that knew him well. He had nothing to do. Ruminating on his thoughts, Adrian's neck turned over to see who was at the door. It was Kyra, his eyes staring blankly at Adrian, a small smile crept up his lift. Adrian shifted his feat and brought his arms closer to his chest as Kyra approached.

Kyra spoke when he was at arms length.

“I have a proposition for you all, mighty seer”. His voice had a mocking tone that made Adrian glare at him. Kyra raised his hands up in surrender.

'' My apprentice Ronan needs a bodyguard and a friend for the foreseeable future”. Kyra looked at him, not speaking. He continued.

'' Due to Ronans bloodline and his shard energy he will attract people after him”. Adrian nodded and Kyra continued his proposition.

"For this month Ronan will need protection, a friend, and a teacher to show him the world". Adrian nodded and Kyra continued his proposition Adrian gloomfully eyes bore into Kyra.

"He's outside in the courtyard."

Adrian broke off from kyra and made his way towards the courtyard. The courtyard Adrian mused was beautiful Kyra made his way behind him Kyra spoke up. '' Ronan's out there resting. In order to protect him you have to know him inside and out".

Adrian had a small smile to himself 'I already want to know him in and out' Adrian blushed Kyra chuckled Adrian glared at him. '' Let's go"

Ronan was sitting in the courtyard enjoying the scenery and the nice breeze. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Things almost felt normal back before when he was drafted into the war, before when he had a family. Ronan sighed he wished things could go back to the way they were. Adrian walked outside Kyra following Adrian Kyra spoke up '' Ronan".

Ronan turned around and his face dimmed down a grimace almost appeared on his face but he pushed the expression down. Instead he looked over at him with a cold gaze at kyra. Kyra continued '' Ronan Adrian has recovered and he will now be your friend bodyguard and side mentor". Ronan's face relaxed Adrian grinned Ronan smiled back.

Kyra broke their mood with his own '' Adrian i will leave you two to get to know each other".Walking off with his robes blowing in the wind.

Adrian reached up to the back of his hair and he had a small smile. "Thanks for covering me in that death match we got into".

Ronan smiled '' No problem". Adrian continued '' Kyra told me you'll be attending a gala and he'll be sending us off tomorrow". Ronan felt a weight lift from him he felt overjoyed he would finally have some freedom Adrian chuckled.

Ronan looking down at Adrians arms he had a question. " How's your shard? I heard your shard got scratched and sounded nasty. Also is your eye good"? Adrian responded '' Eye is fine, shard got hurt". "My blood will heal the holes in my shard it'll just take a few days due to the fact my blood will have to stretch to fill in the shard holes".

"Stretch"?

Adrian elaborated '' Blood stretches shard energy expands". Ronan nodded and Kyra arrived. '' Adrian Ronan will need clothes for the gala. I will buy them, don't worry". Adrian chuckled, Skyra looked at his apprentice and his new bodyguard.

"Get ready to leave your food will be packed for you in the kitchin"

Ronan's face twisted as Kyra spoke '' Adrian make sure Ronan packs everything". Adrian responded and Kyra continued his sentence.

"Also Ronan learn from Adrian". Going to a different room.

When he left Ronan Spoke up “ I'm not a bloody child! I could do that without someone looking over my shoulder”!
