„Tell me, father, if, at the beginning of this world, it was only darkness and nothing else around, what the world will look like when it will come to its end?” Fenrir asked his father while the three of them were slowly advancing onto a smooth path, guarded by secular trees on both sides.
„It will look like…,” Dike’s voice has been heard, but he couldn’t finish his thought simply because he didn’t know what to answer, for he never thought about this before and he had also never seen the end of the world. „We’ll see. When it comes,” Dike eventually said.
„But…,” Fenrir insisted, being too curious to find out the answer. „You’ve lived there, in Cosmos. What does it look like?”
„It looks as if the sun exploded and its broken parts had been scattered all over the sky. You know those starry nights when everything around happily blinks and you also love those moments. Now you can imagine what the Universe looks like,” Dike said and his words somehow floated around. Then, he looked back and he saw Samaya still far away from them. „Come on, Samaya! Don’t stay behind! There’s still a long way to walk.”
„And, did you ever see Father Chaos? What does he look like? Does he look like immortality?” Fenrir stepped in front of his father, forcing him to stop too. „Tell me, father, I’m so curious to find out,” but instead of answering, Dike sighed and looked elsewhere.
„It looks like if two big fires immerged into one,” Samaya said, in her head, but she had forgotten that her father and Fenrir could hear her thoughts already and, because of this, she had been so amazed to see them stopped and waiting for her while staring at her with curious glances.
However, Samaya looked past them as if she saw those eyes of fire right there, in front of her, and, because of this, she could describe them so well. „And… I saw fear in those eyes,” the girl said, still looking in the distance. „Fear for us, for what will come because they think that it’ll be even scarier than the end of the world.”
„And… how do you know that?” Fenrir asked and, in his voice, a wave of childish anger was felt. „You never saw him,” the boy said while approaching her, ready for a fight. „If you never saw him, you can’t lie to us. Father Chaos is immortal. His power and the light of his heart are limitless. So, stop lying, Samaya because even if you are my sister, I’ll beat you if you keep saying nonsense: you, chicken brain.”
The two children stood face to face, staring into the other’s eyes, and a kind of innocent hatred floated around them. But while Fenrir was heated and incapable to control his emotions, Samaya was calm, looking at something unseen past him as if she could see the future.
„I’m not lying. It’s just something I see. If you don’t believe me, it’s your right, but you can't tax me for not telling you the truth, more if you don’t see the same as I do,” Samaya calmly said and, passing by Fenrir, she approached Dike, who was waiting for them to finish their argument.
Fenrir deeply breathed in the fresh air that was surrounding them and he calmed down a few seconds only after breathing. But, suddenly, his ears sharpened and became the ears of a wolf while listening to the music of the surroundings.
Being deaf, Samaya couldn’t hear that music. Though, she understood that something happens by seeing her father’s eyes, looking in amazement around. The girl looked around too and saw how the branches of the trees were stretching toward the sun as if charmed by a magic whisper; how the leaves, till then of dark green, suddenly became of bright green, slowly moving in the air as if they were dancing and how the birds all around them stopped their fly in the air, looking frozen.
„The voice of Aeon,” Fenrir proudly whispered. „I can also hear it, papa. Now I’m listening to its music.”
Dike smiled: he has heard that music before, so many times, but he was also so proud of his son at that moment because Fenrir was also listening to that Sacralic Music and, to enjoy that melody for longer, Dike got closer to an oak tree, sat down on one of its big, aerial roots, and propped his back against the trunk. Then, he closed his eyes and fell prey to dreaming.
He had missed those moments of dreaming so much because while being in the Cosmos, when he was still the guardian of Eris, he had been able to dream a lot and, in time, Māṉsṭar Kēlaksi became not only a prison for him but a huge, black star that lacked light and love. And he could imagine all this while watching the chaotical movement of the stars around them, at their blink, and he understood that those stars were also alive, even if others considered them to be only some cold bodies. But they had a kind of strange and unique breath in them, and this was enriching the huge world called Universe somehow.
And Dike also understood while watching them that those stars kept the stories of the times in them because they saw the beginning of the Universe, they passed through the war for supremacy where Chaos had been defeated and they also saw the moments when Yggdrasil had been laid dormant and Genea started to rule over the Paradise after taking Yggdrasil’s power.

But even so, those stars didn’t also know when Yggdrasil appeared in this world or who created him, and Dike thought that even Yggdrasil wasn’t aware of this. But its leaves, those which told a lot of stories about the Power of the Holy Tree, knew a lot about the beginning of the world because their breathing was taken from the void that surrounds Paradise, where the beauty of life starts, and that Galaxy is known as Aeon till nowadays.
Actually, the Paradise called Aeon is the place where every single soul in this world had been born and where it gets a form too because, namely on those limitless realms, happiness and peace had been born, the feelings that make the creatures of that Galaxy share time and space as brothers, without feeling jealousy, hatred, desire to destroy something or know the real meaning of the word „evil.”
Yet, there’s also known that the Gates of Aeon had been closed for humans a long time ago when Yggdrasil had been laid dormant and, since then, humans could only whisper about Aeon - the Paradise, the life after death or the place where every single pure soul is sent when it finishes its long journey on Earth. However, nobody ever dared to say the name of Aeon loudly, and this was because humans thought that they had been punished for having forgotten the name of Chaos, considering the Titans as the Supreme, Sacralic Force.
But those stories were just stories, invented by people. Even so, Dike loved to listen to them as he loved to stay for hours between humans and listen to their talk because there was a seed of truth in their words, a story that he had known once, but which he had forgotten and which he had remembered only seeing the blink of innocence in the humans’eyes, something he loved till madness.
Also, between humans, he met Samandra. She was a wonderful young woman, with green eyes and a glance that was deeply mirroring into his soul, with long, black hair, with the soft skin of the shade of ripe olives, and, only in her arms, Dike could forget about loneliness.
Samandra knew who Dike really was and she also knew what her children will be like in the future, but she hadn't been ever scared because of this. She loved her children and her husband, but she died too young, without having much time for love and for spending it with her family.
After her death, Dike started to hate something - to remember her departure from this world. He better preferred to remember their sweet moments spent together than her death, and when Fenrir and Samaya were asking him where their mother had left, Dike was simply saying that she left to meet Aeon.
However, the twins never knew what Aeon was because Dike didn’t want to see sufferance in their eyes if they had found out about their mother’s death, as Dike felt all the time after Samandra’s leaving.
And there was something else in that story invented by Dike: he loved to listen to Fenrir’s stories told with so much enthusiasm about his mother, stories in which Samandra became the Queen of Aeon, a far-away fairy-tale realm where magic could be felt everywhere, where only glorious heroes were living and where they’ll meet one day and his mother will be so proud of him, finding out about Fenrir’s heroic deeds in times of war while he was playing with the other wolf cubs.
Poor kid: he never knew that Samandra was already proud of her children because she could see them growing up while watching them from the sky, as the leader of the Constellation Ursa Minoris ,that was warming the Earth in the long and cold nights of their short life.
Suddenly, Dike listened to that pan flute melody closer and closer to him and, in Dike’s mind, that music was sung by Samandra, in their nights of hot love, there, next to the river, where only the stars of the sky were the witnesses of their love and where Dike was able to stay an eternity watching her blowing the pan flute.
And, with Samandra’s image in his mind, Dike had been beamed on the river shore and he saw, in the shadow of a big and rotated oak tree, a young woman blowing a pan flute. But that girl wasn’t Samandra and it made his heart jerk because of sadness.
Watching her carefully, Dike could see that the young woman, who was singing, had long, blonde hair and white skin. She had also green eyes, and, in the green of her glance, the Magic was hidden and not the love and the innocence he usually used to see in his wife’s glance.
„Gaea,” Dike whispered and opened his eyes. But, looking around, he couldn't see his kids and he become flustered.
„Samaya!” „Fenrir!” Dike called their names, but only the wind answered him with a long echo. „Where are you? Don’t play with me! This is not the right time to hide,” but only the void answered him again.
Frightened, Dike looked around. The anxiety in his soul was increasing with each breath, with each heartbeat, with each drop of air inhaled and quickly flowing through his veins, and he felt that he was losing control this way, something that he also hated because it always brought, on the top of his tongue, a bitter taste of fear.
„The desert can be felt everywhere,” Dike heard, in the end, Gaea’s voice. „If to be inattentive, even for a moment, you can lose even more than you won in an entire life, Dike. You lost once, for being a dreamer. Now isn’t the moment to sleep or dream about lost times.”
„Where are you, Gaea? Talk to me! Where are my children?” Dike yelled, but he didn't listen to either a whisper or an answer. However, after seconds of anxiety, Dike heard Gaea's voice again:
„Come to the river shore. Where you and Samandra met for the first time because that place is the perfect one to find out some answers to the questions that had spun in your head all this time. And you will see the future, also here,” and, with each word Gaea said, her voice was heard further and further as if she summoned Dike to rush toward there.
Dike tried to beam on the river shore again, but he felt that was lacking power. And he understood that Mother Earth was playing a prank on him and, for the first time, he felt anger for Gaea. And this happened because he disliked her manner of doing things, especially that she decided to use his kids for this. But Dike also knew that she wasn't doing that only for playing: she was trying to send him a message and, to find out that message, he had to rush and he started to run to the river, whose waters were so clearly heard rushing down the valley.
