Dylan
laughed when he heard Noelle's words.
Noelle didn't know why he was laughing, so she frowned.
Dylan said, "It wasn't you who dragged me, but the other way round. After all, if not for those evidence, I wouldn't have let you go. But there's no ifs in this world, and it's king of pointless to keep blaming each other."
His words made Noelle laugh as well. She nodded again. "Yes. It's meaningless."
Not only was recalling it meaningless, but even their current conversation... was utterly meaningless. Noelle realized this, and so did Dylan. As a result, the conversation could no longer continue.
Noelle suddenly recalled her previous interactions with Dylan. She remembered that they used to have quite a lot to talk about. But now, as they sat facing each other, she couldn't think of anything to say. It wasn't just her. Dylan felt the same way.
Noelle's coffee had long since been finished, and she had no intention of refilling it. She simply stood up. "Then, I'll get going. You... Take care."
Alright." This time, Dylan did not stop her.
Noelle walked out of the café herself. But just as she was about to reach out to hail a taxi, her phone suddenly rangnoveldrama
It was a message from Dylan.
"There's something I didn't dare to ask you in person, nor over the phone."
Noelle saw the first message immediately. However, the second one, the one with the question Dylan wanted to ask, didn't come through right away. Instead, she could see that Dylan was still typing it out. She stood there, waiting to see what he would say.
Minutes passed before Dylan's message finally arrived.
"If we really got married, would you fall in love with me?"
A short question, yet it seemed to take Dylan an immense amount of effort to hit send.
And Noelle knew that at this very moment, de was still in the café, staring at his phone screen and waiting for her reply.
Noelle didn't hesitate. After reading the message, she quickly responded, "Yes."
Dylan didn't send another message, nor did Noelle linger. She simply turned off her phone, raised her hand, and flagged down a taxi.
After getting into the car, she didn't head back to Nivis Vill, but went to another shopping mall. It was still quite early before her scheduled meeting, so she ordered herself milk tea and waited in the shop.
Craig called her several times, but Noelle didn't answer. Even Hendrix sent her a message, asking when she'd be
back.
Noelle initially Intended to reply, but before she could, someone tapped her on the shoulder. She immediately turned her head.
"Long time no see."
Seline was carrying a backpack, her smile looking just the same as it had when Noelle last saw her at Dynalis. Noelle paused for a moment before finally giving her a small smile. "Yeah, long time no see. Seline raised an eyebrow, "You don't seem too happy to see one."
"No, it's just... I feel a bit caught off guard."
"I'm just teasing you!" Seline waved her hand dismissively. "I've only been back in the country for a few days, and my dad's been forcing me to attend endless dinner parties. Today's the first chance I've had to come out and see
and I was so excited on the way here.
you,
"Come on. Let's go eat. How about buffalo wings? Let me tell you. I was craving it so badly back in Dynalis!"
