Chapter 224

When Hendrix just got into his car, he received a new message again.

He wanted to delete the text straight away because he knew it would be photos of those two people again. But now, no matter how many pictures he received, it was pointless.

Just like what Noelle said. She had moved on, so it was time for him to do so, too.

As for what Julio said...

Hendrix couldn't help but laugh coldly.

What did Julio want to say? So what if Dylan was just a university lecturer? Was Julio trying to make Hendrix win over Noelle back by using those stupid methods?

What a joke.

Since when did Hendrix ever need to do such things, becoming a third wheel in other people's relationships?

When he thought about that, he found it quite amusing.

But his finger hovered over the screen. He could clearly see the "delete" option, yet he couldn't bring himself to tap it.

After several seconds of hesitation, he opened photos instead.

Noelle and Dylan had already finished dinner, and after a brief stop at the supermarket, the car finally entered the residential complex where Noelle lived.

The last photo captured the moment they entered the elevator together.

Hendrix's expression instantly vanished. Then, he flung the phone to the side with such force that the screen shattered upon impact.

He glanced at the broken shards of the screen, his face devoid of any emotion, and thought that he really shouldn't have looked at those photos.

His grip on the wheel tightened. Then, he started the car and stepped on the pedal.

The veins on his forearm bulged, and his tongue was pressed against the roof of his mouth, as if he could already taste the metallic tang of blood

The car was initially heading straight toward the hotel, but after a moment, it was as if he suddenly snapped out of a trance. The car swerved violently in another direction.

He didn't use the turn signal, and the car behind almost crashed into him.

A string of curses erupted from the driver behind, but Hendrix didn't spare them a glance. He pressed harder on the accelerator, the car speeding forward at an almost reckless pace.

Soon, he arrived at Galaxy Grove.

He stopped the car but didn't go up for a long time.

He knew which floor Noelle lived on. When he counted and got to the floor, he saw that the lights were already off.noveldrama

But the person stationed there hadn't sent any updates about Dylan leaving. That meant he was still inside with: Noelle

A man and a woman, alone in the satu space, and on a night like this... The implication was clear. Yet Hendrix still refused to believe it.

How could she? How long had they even known each other?

And he could still vividly recall what Noelle had once told him-that the reason she married him in the first place was because she liked him. She had already liked him long before he knew about her feelings. What about now, then?

Hendrix forced himself to think it through-wasn't that so-called private art exhibition just two months ago? Which meant that, at most, they'd known each other for barely two or three months.

And now, they were already living together? Had Noelle lost her mind? Or was her affection always this cheap and flecting?

His grip on the steering wheel tightened, his teeth clenching harder. In that moment, jealousy and resentment grew in him, suffocating his heart.

After an indeterminate amount of time, he suddenly began to loosen his grip on the wheel. Then, he took out a cigarette and lowered his head while lighting it with a steady hand.
