Synopsis
In a dungy dark apartment on a sunny summer day lies a woman huddled under a blanket surrounded by crumpled tissues, fast food wrappers and empty soda bottles. With the sounds of kids playing outside she sniffles on a couch as brightly coloured images flash across the television screen. This is where hope has come to die. Once a superwoman with a successful career and a handsome husband, Anna Marie Spencer now without both lays lifeless and despondent on her sofa lost in a maze inside her mind. All she wants now is for her pain to come to an end. Cutting through her misery, a stranger reaches out by phone to present her with a new problem. A disgruntled, recently fired movie studio executive informs Anna Marie that various characters across several successful movies, television shows and books are based on her personality without her knowledge. Before he hangs up, he asks Anna Marie is she has a bible.
