It didn't take much of talking for them both to hear an enthusiastic yell and for Shi Yu to shoot onto the scene.
She kept nagging the others for their test results and Cuilong Yun gave him test score for the punching machine which was bang-on 8000kg. Fang Xiong was shocked at this as he thought that Cuilong Yun was a Qi Cultivator not a body cultivating Ki Cultivator.
Seeing his shock and confusion, Shi Yu laughingly explained to him that once someone breaks through to the Xiantian Realm no matter their cultivation type, they gain 3000kg in body strength.
Fang Xiong let out a breath of relief, thankful he wasn't friends with another monster-like talent similar to his sister. If only he knew how wrong he was, both of his new friends were less than normal for their age...
When the two of them heard Fang Xiong's score of 6000kg, they weren't too shocked; They sort of expected it from such a strong-looking guy. But when he casually mentioned his cultivation, it seemed to shake their cores.
"Wait! You mean to say that you're in a 4th Houtian and yet you can punch with 6000kg? That's higher than an 8th Layer Houtain Realm Ki Cultivator!" Cuilong Yun couldn't help but quietly shout this news at every in their vicinity.
Fang Xiong, not wanting everyone to know his secrets just yet, put his hand on Cuilong Yun's mouth and clamped it shut. Despite being stronger than Fang Xiong, Cuilong Yun didn't do anything to stop this as he realized he'd been a loudmouth.
Surprisingly, Shi Yu just looked at Fang Xiong with a suppressed joy in her eyes. Both Fang Xiong and Cuilong Yun noticed this, but only Cuilong Yun noticed why it was there, only Fang Xiong was left in the dark.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that Shi Yu?" Fang Xiong unclamped Cuilong Yun's mouth before he walked up to Shi Yu and questioned her.
Shi Yu just beamed a smile at him before turning around to go and explore the grounds of the academy. A vein on Fang Xiong's temple bulged when this happened and he closed his eyes to calm himself.
He felt a hand on his shoulder and opened his eyes, "Don't worry about it Brother Fang, she's just happy that you're special -- Like us," Cuilong Yun beamed a smile at him before following after Shi Yu. What he didn't realize was that this spurred on more questions in Fang Xiong's head and made him even more agitated.
Letting out a stressed sigh, Fang Xiong followed after the annoying pair.
After this, they toured the academy grounds and were all truly stunned by how big the entire thing was. They were blocked from some areas meant for 2nd years and above but most of the buildings were open everyone, so they had a decent map of how big the academy was.
Just the food hall alone could probably hold up to ten thousand people easily. Thinking about the food all, the stress accumulated from the earlier questions, seemed to evaporate from Fang Xiong's mind.
"Hey, you two, should we go get something to eat? I'm pretty hungry," as if to back up his claims, Fang Xiong's stomach grumbled loudly. Shi Yu seemed to remember something and poked Fang Xiong's chest with a dark smile on his face.
"Hmm? You're still hungry after eating my two chicken legs? Shouldn't you be full? You big glutton...!" she seemed like she was going to go into some kind of a rant but a sly smile appeared on her face, "...Buuut I'm hungry as well, so let's go~"
Fang Xiong was shocked by how quickly she could switch between things but he didn't care much for it anyway, he now had a comrade for food so he was happy. Cuilong Yun had mentioned earlier that as a half-Fae he didn't need to eat much, so he wasn't hungry now but he still agreed to tag along with his two gluttonous friends.
The food hall wasn't far away and when they returned they quickly entered it and got in line. Fang Xiong was shocked by how much food was here and if the sign that said it was all free today was telling the truth, he was about to eat his fill~
While in the line, all three of them talked about cultivation. Cuilong Yun and Shi Yu mainly about meditation techniques that they recommended to Fang Xiong as they helped refine the person's mentality as well as their mind. Fang Xiong agreed to give it a go but mainly talked about how he planned to up the intensity of his workout regimen with the resources available at the academy.
Shi Yu curiously asked him what his current workout was and Fang Xiong told her all about it, including the weights he used (Not their magical properties, just how much they weighed to him now).
Once she heard all about his workout, she was genuinely shocked.
As a Kin, she had natural strength above a Human and she tried to use that advantage as much as she possible despite being a Qi Cultivator. So, she did a lot of physical workouts without any Qi involved and after doing these workout and upping the intensity over the years, she thought her workouts were pretty harsh but compared to Fang Xiong's, they were childs play.
"No wonder you can use strength higher than your cultivation level would suggest! You're working yourself like a mule!" Shi Yu couldn't help but exclaim this but Fang Xiong was already ignoring her as he was finally getting served at the counter.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
And boy, oh boy, did he get served.
He ordered as much as he was allowed to order and this included at least 20 different large sized dishes. Cuilong Yun was shaken as he looked at his new best friend and wondered how his friend wasn't literally covered in layers of fat? Even with his workouts, he should at least be quite chubby!
Shi Yu, on the other hand, was coming to some conclusions of her own and started to scour over Fang Xiong's body, looking for something.
Because his order was so big, Fang Xiong was asked to go and pick a table and they'd send his food over to him. So he did just that while Shi Yu got a more relatively normal lunch and Cuilong Yun continued to question how much of Fang Xiong's body does his stomach take up.
Shortly after he sat down, he was joined by the two teens again. Shi Yu had 3 dishes expertly balanced on her arms and sat down before quickly devouring them. The dishes looked delicious and Fang Xiong couldn't stop his stomach from angrily growling constantly while looking at the lovely dishes.
Fortunately, Fang Xiong's own dishes didn't take too long to get to him. 4 large platters of food were delivered to him, each of them full of meat and vegetables and they were all seasoned just right. Not that any of this mattered to Fang Xiong, to him food was food, and he just started shoveling the food down his gullet.
More and more platters were arriving but weirdly enough, the same amount was being sent back to the kitchen by clearly shaken waiters and waitresses.
Shi Yu and Cuilong Yun were both looking at Fang Xiong in shock and awe. He just kept eating, they didn't even know when he had the chance to breathe as his mouth and throat were constantly full of food or a liquid of some kind.
He'd already eaten 16 platters and by this point, everyone within viewing distance was staring at their table, wondering who let a starved beast into the food hall. But one person who was there, a beautiful girl with white hair, seemed shocked and quickly sent off a talisman in a certain direction like some kind of warning or communication.
None of this mattered to Fang Xiong, he just continued to eat.
By the time Fang Xiong was done and the food stopped coming, he'd gone through 29 large platters of food and everyone just looked at him in a stunned fashion, some people even started clapping thinking that he'd overcome some kind of challenge.
Fang Xiong didn't mind them staring, he knew he ate a lot more than a normal person but what could he do? Be embarrassed? Over his dead body! He was proud of anything he did and would never apologize.
Well, unless it was for a family member of his.
"Ah, so you really are here, Fang Xiong," a cold voice spoke out behind Fang Xiong and he immediately felt his stomach turn as he himself turned to meet whoever spoke to him. When he saw what he saw, he felt multiple things.
Surprise, happiness, shock, anger and finally utter rage.
Standing in front of him was Xiao Mei, his older sister. She had changed immensely over the years, she had grown quite tall and was around 180cm in height, her figure was the perfect balance between lithe and curvy while seeming incredibly toned from exercise. Her face had changed and become the face of an incredibly beautiful woman, but the coldness spread across it was so freezing, it went full circle and seemed slightly scathing.
Her once gentle red eyes had become cold and firm, like two pieces of frozen pieces of ice where two calm lakes used to be.
As a 16-year-old she was pretty much fully developed and she already looked like a fully-fledged woman. But something was different about her.
Fang Xiong didn't care for any of the other changes because two of them were really drawing in his attention. The first one he saw was the lack of affection or happiness on her face, only coldness and annoyance at him being here and secondly, her face...was scarred.
She had two crisscrossing cuts over the center of her face, like an 'X' that stretched from above her eyes to her jawline.
Fang Xiong stood up, his body slowly shaking, "Who did that to you, sister? Who hurt you?" his voice was eerily calm and even Xiao Mei seemed taken aback by that but she ignored his question.
"Don't call me 'sister' we're not related, you adopted swine," her voice was particularly harsh and anyone could hear her intentions to hurt Fang Xiong.
But he didn't seem to care, his shaking now getting more intense as he spoke through gritted teeth, "Who did this to you, sister? Who harmed you?" a terrifying aura slowly spread out from Fang Xiong's body. The aura was full of bloodthirst, so strong that the people surrounding him could taste blood in the air.
Fang Xiong slowly walked toward Xiao Mei, his eyes bloodshot and his pupils constricted into pinpoints. His eyes were slowly changing color as well. Their usual luminescent orange lightening to a metallic yellow.
Xiao Mei seemed to shake for a second before she spoke, "It was from a spar and it's none of your business, so stay out of it, Fang Xiong!" she started shouting toward the end of her sentence. But it wasn't a desperate shout, it was more of an ordering shout filled with imperative.
Inside Fang Xiong, his yellow Ki was going berserk and filling up his Ki Veins and flooding his body with power and energy.
Ki didn't enhance a person, it only let them use all of their strength, so while he wasn't any stronger than usual, he was at his 100% as long as he had the Ki to continue this power-up state, and from the way his Ki seemed nearly inexhaustible in his rage, he would be able to keep it up for a while.
Slowly, a yellow aura seeped out of Fang Xiong's pores. The aura gathered around him and vented upwards and fluctuated just like a flame.
"Sister," his manic and wild eyes looked pleadingly at his sister, "Just tell me who hurt you," his breathing became ragged for a second and he clenched his fists, blood dripping from them, "And I promise you, I.Will.Kill.Them."
His voice was now full of bloodthirst just like his aura but what he wasn't expecting was what his sister said next. Or rather what she did next.
"Stop being such a pest!" Xiao Mei said this and seemed to disappear from where she was standing. Fang Xiong's instincts screamed for him to block and his body moved on instinct alone and put his arms into a block in front of his stomach.
"Argh!" just after he put the block up he felt a heavy fist land on his arms, fracturing the bones in his arms slightly and sending him backward into the table he was just sitting at. Fang Xiong looked in disbelief at who just hit him; Xiao Mei.
The girl who'd never hit him in all his 13 years of life, the girl who'd loved him and cared for him no matter how trash his talent for Qi Cultivation was, that same girl just hit him with enough force to nearly break his arms.
"Why...?" was all Fang Xiong could get out through his unconsciously clamped jaw. He felt like something was tearing at his chest, ripping it to shreds and the feeling filled Fang Xiong with a sadness he didn't understand.
